“Having been able to check in online made the pickup fast and easy. We were upgraded to a much better car for no extra cost. The whole experience was very good.”

“Hire Cars UK uses a simple to use system of booking cars internationally for very reasonable rates, considerably lower than even discounted rates elsewhere. It was easy, straightforward and resulted in a good experience - just walk up with your voucher and away you go with your car.”

“Picked up and dropped off from Tourist Information in Kranjska Gora. Really easy and quick changeover. No queues, a nice guy brought the car at the time arranged and we left the keys with staff when we returned it. Petrol station just around the corner so filling up was a doddle. Only downside is there is no car wash for 25km and I do like to wash before I return cars. Overall I am extremely happy and would not hesitate rebooking.”

“my original booking had a drop off point different from pick up. i was asked after i booked 45 pounds extra. (should have been on the booking when it was done). the car i received was a sports ASTRA GTC 2 door and not a 5 door. that is because i asked for a cruise control.(should have been more options. i was informed that a different co will contact me for insurance but never did. i had to pay 80 pounds extra for that though i could get it much cheaper online. the only very good thing made me feel much better was the service i received from the person who served me at PUDNEY BRIDGE location both on pick up and drop off. there was a lady there who i do not remember her name and a guy called Luc. both were very helpfull and friendly and made the rental very easy and relaxing.”

“The web site was clear and lucid. The chosen rental company, Europcar, was very helpful and allowed us to choose our own model car for hire. The concierge at Heathrow was an exceptionally charming fellow who entertained the customers very adroitly. A great experience.”

“The actual booking process was fine, and the car hire itself was fine, because it was through Europcar. But I found the deal through carrentals.co.uk, who re-directed me to hirecars.co.uk, I received 4 confirmation emails, one from rentalcars.com (a website I don't ever remember visiting through the whole process) and 3 from hirecars.co.uk. NOT ONE OF THOSE EMAILS TOLD ME WHO THE CAR PROVIDER WAS OR THE ADDRESS TO COLLECT IT! I had to follow a link, create a login account, confirm my email address and only then was told who was providing the car and where to collect it. On all the emails, the collection address was listed as "Chester, Downtown" - there is no such place, this is not an address. Google it, look it up on a map, there's no such place, it's some tossy name they've got in their system that in no way reflects the reality of actual geography. Since then I've booked directly through Europcar who do not list their location as "Chester Downtown" they give the actual address and location like a normal person would. I can only assume that hirecars.co.uk or possibly rentalcars.com or maybe even carrentals.co.uk have made up this location for some reason known only to them. Just to re-emphasise, at no point in the whole booking process was I told what address to collect the car from. This is obviously complete stupid and is why I won't ever use this website again.”

Hirecars.co.uk is powered by the broker, Rentalcars.com who works with a number of different suppliers to confirm our customers booking requests. As Rentalcars.com work with more than one supplier in the same locations and the supplier isn't confirmed until after booking, locations are grouped together in Airport and Downtown locations. All information about the supplier and their location address can be found on the rental voucher once a booking has been confirmed. “Found using a price comparison site - it was one of the cheapest, and was super easy to make the booking. Pick up/drop off was incredibly smooth and quick, and there were no extra or hidden charges. Only thing I might have preferred is if we had got a VW Up as advertised (we got the 'similar' - a Skoda Citigo but judging by the 25 other Skodas in the lot, we were never getting a VW) but in fairness, the Skoda was a great little car and absolutely perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend and use this rental company again!”
