“For months, an odd noise was coming from the airing cupboard - as if the central heating pump was on, but neither the hot water nor central heating were on. A plumber friend said to replace the control valve. I thought 'major expense', but on looking into it, the job was pretty straightforward. After removing the defective unit it was easy to fit the new one - a simple rewiring job and a click-fit. Now everything is quiet unless the hot water or central heating is switched on.”
