No real communication about the progress of our application. Your agent asked us for the same information twice when we sent it the first time. We asked that all fees be added to the £100,000 we asked for only to be told that your fees were to be deducted. No real customer service. No communication between the various parties involved. Karla was not very helpful and quite dismissive when we did raise a question.

I cannot write a review as we are still waiting for our Wills to be produced by yourselves. We have paid you but had nothing. I am sure you do not want a review based on my experience thus far!!

They arranged a home visit for 18.00hrs Received a phone call at 17.55 saying they was running a hour late I had to leave W10 area in London at 13.00 to get home in time losing the afternoon pay not only me but three others who work for me as we all travel up together

My first offer was rejected due to late request of updated buildings insurance. This caused a lot of stress the insurance documents had been renewed on the 1/4/21. I understand solicitors are busy but my suggestion is not to wait till the day before to check records as this may be a hindrance to a solicitor but to the client this may have devastating consequences.

Initial contact and communication was excellent; however, towards end of selling house it was very frustrating - unable to make contact, emails and voice mails left unanswered.

Long delays in forwarding information. Wrong information given, creating more delays. Very slow to chase up queries. Final fee a lot more than expected.

1. You send out document sets with some blank pages with no explanation as to what the blank pages mean. 2. You are very poor at replying to emails. 3. You don't seem very customer orientated and keeping your clients informed.

doubled up on redemption statement cost when we was already charged by Hodge bank, solicitors fee double the amount on estimated cost, certain staff not friendly

Had to always chase what was happening, Many errors with paperwork no apologies, for the errors Charges added at end , no warning of these charges When asked about this basically told tough and no recompense for length of time to carry out the work 12/16 weeks became 19 months or the errors that cost time and more expensive loan

Using GW for equity release as advised by Age Partnership I believe the process was not progressed properly resulting in weeks of delay until I involved myself as per the emails on the 7/4/20 when I confirmed that it was not Barclays holding things up (after I was told they were the reason for the delay) when Barclays hadn't in fact received a request for a redemption figure. In my view this is a fair appraisal.

Despite all the requested paperwork from me having being posted and/or emailed in good time to yourselves, the inexplicable delay on your part meant that it almost cost me the original interest rate agreement with Age Partnership. This, I must stress, was not due to the current difficulties re Coronavirus. The matter should have been settled long before. I felt ignored and uninformed.

We have given a POOR rating as we feel there was a distinct lack of communication from GWlegal. We feel we were not kept up to date with what was happening with the process, the process we feel was not carried out in a timely manner e.g. it appeared that we had to sign the same document several times as it repeatedly became out of date before the process was completed. Due to the process taking approximately 9-10 months the interest rate has been raised before the completion date and a second survey had to be done.

lack of communication and not enough care shown to the clients. can’t understand how it took nearly 4 weeks to find another firm of solicitors acting for barret homes, a major builder.

Poor communication, lack of urgency, inadequate attention to detail, robotic and generally unhelpful. Job ultimately got done once the urgency suited them, but painfully obvious as a customer that you are just a number to them.
