“Bought gloss ladies lace up shoes (Caitlyn) and the leather flaked and peeled off the top coating after one wearing. Customer service team was not interested and unhelpful about return and refund.”

“Bought a pair of sneakers on sale and the tongue stitching is a bit off. Other than that the pair seems fine. The sizing is rather generous. Delivery next day and no problems with ordering.”

“Purchased a pair of brogue boots a few years ago and then wore them for a week to "settle them in" then put them in my shoe store until my 'Red Wings' expired. I usually buy shoes well in advance of need. A few years later, it was time to commission them. Within a month the leather lining on the heal wore through. Took them to a bootmaker but alas he said the boot would have to be dismantled to repair them, and the cost would be prohibitive. He was surprised at the poor choice of leather selected. As far as I can remember he quoted "neither thicker or stronger than paper" I was a little slow in returning them to Grenson. All as they did was to stick a piece of leather on the heel which came off the first time I put them on, but they were returned in a lovely box including a with compliments slip. They ,Grensons, could obviously see these boots were as new in every other respect. I have had products from this company before and they were excellent. The boots in question were about £275 which is cheap by Grenson pricing, and if I remember correctly they were 'Made in India'. In life I try to buy quality products as usually they are more cost effective over time. Now I usually buy 'Red Wing' boots, which are beyond reproach. Sorry Grenson, but never again for me or my friends.”

“I have 2 pairs of grensons 1 I've had a year they are the hand painted brown leather nanette combat boots i love them in the u.s I wear a true 8 and before purchasing i did research and found that a UK 5.5 would work i got them and tried and they fit perfect i have a narrow foot so they fit great the only thing I didn't love about these specific ones is the tounge keeps moving it dont stay put.I love my 1st grensons so much I decided I wanted a black pair,just recently Grenson added new styles I saw the black "rugged leather" combat style and chose them in UK 5.5 but I ordered these directly from Grenson last time I ordered from shopbop anyway I love these as well same good fit no problems even better the tongue on these ones stays put the rugged leather has a rough style texture to it it makes like a distressed look but thats why I chose these i love that about them.Also had no complications in the ordering process ordering from shopbop or directly from Grenson.”

“Their shoes are comfortable, the leather is good quality, they're generous with the sizes especially if you're wide footed(G). Their styles are outstanding. I have at least eight pairs. Trust me, once you wear a pair of grenson's, there's no turning back!”

“I had a few Brexit-related delivery issues (for delivery to the EU) that I wasn't expecting after placing my order. Like so many others, I think the company was unprepared. I decided to return my item without paying the additional custom's fees. After having read some of the reviews about their customer services, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was suprised by how efficient they were. They took charge of the return expenses, refunded me very quickly and then, without me asking, they made an incredible commercial gesture in apology. It has been a long time since I've felt like a truly valued customer. I honestly can't praise them enough. I have been informed that the border issues have now been resolved, and I look forward to placing more orders with you in the future. Thanks.”

“I bought a pair of Archie shoes and received a completely different pair of shoes. I wish i had read the reviews before investing my money (£302) with this company. Returned them over a week ago and I can see from the tracking that they have received the returned item but I have had absolutely no communication regarding my refund and they are not responding to my emails either. Apparently the shoes are good but shame about the customer service. They keep this poor attitude up and they will fall behind in the marketplace because nothing damages a brand more than poor customer service. Get your act together guys, your current path is a dangerous and tricky one in this current time of online sales activity. Only the best will survive.”

“I am an 85 year old who has worn and been more than happy with grenson shoes most of my life and who has feet to prove how good they are. Regrettably I need to replace my black ones. It was my intention to replace them with llyoyds but at £235 I find this excessive when were it brown I required although they are marked as £235 can be obtained from the factory shop for £135. Why not the black? As a pensioner on a meagre pension I have to be careful. After all it's only a matter of dying!!! Bob”

“Long-standing customer. I've had 6 pairs in the last 10 years. Bought some boots over a year ago and from month 1 they started to wear badly around the toes due to the nature of the leather treatment. Contacted the customer service team and they only agreed to review them once returned despite me sending through images of the issue. Won't be buying Grenson again.”

“I have bought 3 pairs of the 12 model and all 3 times I had to return them! They all came dirty, shoes laces were filthy and the glue was everywhere!!! If I wanted a pair of trainers that look worn and dirty I would have went charity shop. Very disappointed.”

“The model 12 sneaker. Have bought this trainer 3 times every single time I've had to return them. They come dirty! Shoes laces filthy. Suede scratched. Glue all over the place. If you are buying new shoes/trainers they should not look worn already with cracks and dirty laces. This has happened too many times with all my grenson shoes/trainers. I”

“I have purchased many shoes and boots from Grenson over the years. I had to leave a review to comment on Grenson's excellent customer service. Laura, of their customer service team, went over and above to assist me in locating laces for a pair of boots. Her manner and communication was first class and she is a credit to Grenson. Not only is it down to Grenson's beautiful products but also their customer service which sets them apart - keep it up!”

“It's October 2018 - About 30+ years ago I purchased a pair of Grenson patent leather evening shoes to go with my D.J. Recently I discovered that a small gold coloured button had fallen off my shoe. I emailed Grenson customer services department (customerservices@grenson.co.uk - phone 01933 354300) to ask for advice. Much to my surprise a really personable and helpful lady, Laura, posted two replacement buttons and fixings to me - free of charge! What a fantastic and dare one say 'old fashioned', service - so reassuring - well done Laura and well done Grenson.”

“Grenson is a brand with very interesting boots and shoes: their design is particularly well studied. Even all details are oversized. I particularly like the triple welted Fred brogues (G ONE) and the Spike boots. The products made in UK are paticularly made with a high quality even if we probably pay for the design. Grenson is my preferd brand with Carmina.”
