“I'm happy with my purchase but not the delivery. It was a 1000kg builders bag of slate chippings. The driver had what looked like a hand operated fork lift, which was supposedly meant to handle 2000 kgs. This could hardly get the bag off the pallet truck never mind move it onto my drive. I was a bit annoyed when the bag had to be abandoned in my drive. Which meant that my 2 car drive was now a one car awkward to get onto drive. I complained to Grasslands Turf that they should use a delivery method which could properly handle the weight and they had no interest at all and stopped talking to me completely!”

“Failed to deliver on time (despite the fact I paid extra for next day) and then wanted to charge me more so they could 'rectify' the late delivery by delivering on a Saturday. The refund was processed promptly when I cancelled so I assume this process is well drilled.”

“Brilliant! Very happy customer. We ordered turf and it came when it was supposed to and the quality was very good, lovely green fresh turf. It has only been a week so still establishing but all looks good. Customer service very good and attentive as well. Have already recommended to friends!”

“Paid for next day delivery but it never happened it arrived on day 4 as it was the weekend . You offered a refund of the postage , rang you a week later and guess what No Refund so someone lied to me .”

“I ordered a 1 ton bag of plum slate. Whilst I am happy with the product and it arrived within 3 days I am unhappy with the way the delivery was made. The 1 ton bag was literally dumped on a palate on the middle of my driveway, blocking all access. I had given delivery instructions and contact details within my order but these wee ignored. I emailed Grasslands and received a reply but was left a little disappointed by the lack of apology in their email.”

“I was pleased with service from Grasslands, from whom I have bought 22 tonnes of gravel to re-lay my long drive; I bought it in 3 separate batches and did it bit by bit, so 3 separate orders. From the top: telephone ordering was polite and efficient. The quality of the gravel was excellent, every bit pretty much a uniform size. The delivery (a particular issue for me) was professionally done, each builders bag hooked on a forklift truck that came on the delivery lorry, so I could specify where to site the gravel bags (and hence drive my car past them until I got round to laying gravel). The only slight gripe was vagueness about delivery day, resolved by phoning. Overall, not the cheapest but worth paying slightly more for the quality of the gravel and the mode of delivery.”

“Once Id found the top soil we were looking for I also purchased some new turf too for our garden. It would of been 5* and the communication was brilliant too via email. BUT once having the soil delivered last Friday, we unravelled the grass to find bits of moss in there, very long grass indeed and it was the colour brown as well as a murky green!! So so dry too. Felt like it had been rolled up for days. The cut of it was all over the place. Fortunately we ordered a tad more than what we needed.. 20 rolls or so more- fortunately we did because there was a lot of wastage. We spent a small fortune with you and we bought the more expensive harder wearing grass.. We were just very disappointed with the overall product of the grass and have been nurturing it all week trying to bring it back to life and hoping we hadn't wasted our money. Fortunately we know a green keeper and he's been helping us with his invaluable experience of what we should do. We feel some sort of refund should be given back to us as this really wasn't acceptable. We just hope the grass improves or we'll have wasted our money and have to start again.”

“Really happy with product! Exactly as described online too which is great! Good competitive price too, will use site again! Super fast delivery. Would be good to get a text on the day of delivery if possible though as we were not in and the stones were put in front of our garage door so we couldn't open it as moving 4 tonne of stones is very difficult without a machine!”

“Good product. Pebbles as described and good quality. Good price. However, staff over telephone rude and extremely unhelpful. Delivery arrived and driver literally just dumped 1 Tonne pallet on the middle of road without trying to leave on front driveway. Simply awful... go elsewhere if you can.”
