“GoodSync lets me back up the changed files on my Mac Hard Drive to cloud storage without having to keep them in a dedicated cloud folder. Since the Mac is networked, it lets others be able to access my files as needed. It's easy to select the files to sync, and reasonably easy to select and log on to a cloud account. The only problem I've had is it very rarely loses the cloud location or starts a completely different set of folders in the cloud (duplicating my data). I've also used it as a sync to keep critical files synced between my home & work computer. The program is very versatile and easy to use, and doesn't seem to mind that I'm syncing between different OS.”

“GoodSync did what its advertising said it would do and with that aspect of the program I am satisfied. There are two aspects of GoodSync that have not been satisfactory. 1. The stream of advertising asking me to upgrade to the "Professional" level which I do not need. It was clogging my email inbox so I asked GoodSync not to send it. But it kept coming. In the end I had to label the mail as spam i.e. for automatic deletion. 2. My understanding was that I could run the software I bought on both my home machine and my laptop without buying another license. I asked GoodSync how to copy or download the necessary software but never received a reply. It is a nuisance not having it on my laptop when when traveling. So, the software it good but the administration and communication side of the operation needs work.”

“Fairly simple and easy to use. I use it primarily for backup and once I set it up I was able to forget it and know it was doing its job. Would be handy if it gave you a reminder to load the appropriate removable media.”

“I use to synchronize 3 computers - works reliably and predictably. I also set it up for a friends computers as well. It works great! Two items need attention. 1 - need a way to sequence groups so they run in a user defined order, and each group finishes before the next one starts. 2 - When a new version is available you get a window that asks you to register your copy - you only see a new version is available if you open GoodSync in Full Mode. It's ALREADY registered!!”

“I love it at first but im having troubles lately. At first back up my hard drive, after a while i made a new back up and perfectly copy all the new files and remove the ones i removed on the original. But for some reason and without touch anything on the set up the last time i used it copy all the hard drive again, so i stop using it because im scared to erase something. The software looks good but looks like i don't know how to use it properly .”

“GoodSync is a great backup software package. I wouldve given 5 stars but after the last update i can no longer backup my microsoft onedrive with my hard drive as it tells me to update to version 10. When i check for updates it says its already up to date. Thats a huge problem for me because i backup my personal and my companies files from hard drive to onedrive. Now im a sitting duck until this next update.”

“The software works well, but I have a few comments: 1) Selecting the Source and Target Drive is not as intuitive as say Vice-Versa. 2) Do not like that the software leaves a tracking directory on the drives being compared 3) I would like more on screen status / progress choices during the transfer 4) I am not happy with the very narrow licensing agreement. I have to buy a copy for every machine I use it on? 3 or 4 machines would make far more sense.”

“I purchased Goodsync several years ago and activated it. When I had to put in on a new computer after my old on crashed, I had to purchase it again even though I used the old activation information. Somehow I had run into a limit on my usage...... Goodsync is easy to use and is a very good backup system.”

“We use Goodsync to link our mobile notebooks and keep them updated with our server. Goodsync keeps a safe and secure track of the changes made at both sides. The window layout is excellent and the software is easy to use.”

“It looks like it is doing syncing well. But it is not very user friendly. Learning curve is not easy. I could not customize it. I could not write command line functions. Yes I am not a TECHY guy. Please help me.”

“Easy setup, working well and consistent. I am checking and it backs up the files I want, no problems there. At times, annoying that it does file locking - instead of just using PC idle time, this is specifically when I want to check email and want to start Outlook, and at that moment the PST happens to be locked. Thanks”
