Wrong phone delivered. Sent bs k and current one not working 200%. Was wanting iPhone 8 but no reply back from gecko so I won’t be recommending

The phone was failed because it was claimed to have many numerous deep scratches in the screen. I believe the phone was in good condition with no significant marks to either the screen or the case. The offer was reduced from £88.50 to £55.52! I accepted it because I couldn’t be bothered to go through the process of somebody else providing a high initial quotation only to find that it was a figure that would never be paid. Needles to say I will not be recommending you and will almost certainly never use the service again. Also telephone contact doesn’t exist Very disappointed!

Avoid Gecko Mobile. I bought a reconditioned mobile and paid £20 for a battery upgrade. They do not reply to emails asking for a refund and customer service after they have your money is non-existent. Stick to using a larger supplier is my advice. There is no customer service telephone service, only emails which are ignored

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY My son sent his mobile phone to this company for recycling and was offered over £200 and a prepaid envelope which didn’t cover the cost of the phone. The phone was lost in the post and now they are only paid him £100 not the original £200 as quoted. They are refusing to pay the extra even though they knew the phone was worth more than the claim. I wonder how many other phones they are claiming they didn’t receive and pocketing the money. I HAVE USED MORE HONEST RECYCLING COMPANIES. DO NOT USE!

We provide a Freepost service to all our customers, but advise that customers may wish to purchase their own postage to cover high value items. I understand that Royal Mail have accepted full liability for losing your phone, with the full amount they compensated being forwarded to you already without delay. I am sorry that we are not able to impact the value they choose to compensate to in this instance.

Disappointed. Item reclassified as poor when it had no scratches, screen marks or dents. Only marks was from “grit” from having a case on it which is extremely common. Worst recycle experience having done so several times over the year with other companies. Only reason I accepted was because I couldnt be bothered with the hassle of returning then trying elsewhere.

Our website explains that we can only accept minor wear under the Good Condition category, and our Team found that the grit damage you mention was just too severe to be considered as minor damage, and so made you an adjusted offer. We are always happy to return phones to customers if they are not 100% satisfied with the revised offer.

Gecko offered me £152 for my immaculate iPhone 8 then paid me £99... I tried to reject the offer but the link ‘conveniently’ wouldn’t work! I’m disgusted and fuming! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I reported them to the police!!!!

My daughter wished for new phone for Christmas, Iphone 7 Plus. As I'm on low income I have decided to purchase phone from Gecko. I saved money for several months and on 20 November 2020 I was finally able to buy my 10 year old daughter her phone. On 25 December 2020, my daughter found her phone under the Christmas tree and when she unpacked it we found out the microphone was faulty. My daughter was crying so I decided to find different phone on Facebook market and was able to buy it for her on the Christmas day. I have also contacted Gecko on 25 December asking for full refund as I was able to purchase different phone off the Facebook market. Gecko adviser was helpful with return label but I was advised full refund is not possible. This is very disappointing and you would think people have common sense, heart and understanding but not employees at Gecko.

We offer a comprehensive 13 Month Warranty on all our phones to protect our customers in such situations. We're sorry we were not able to advise you of your options when you first messaged the Team, to save you purchasing a second phone without need to. As this was done on Christmas day, all our staff were enjoying a well deserved break. I understand that a full refund was not possible as your request to return was made outside the standard 30 Refund window. Unfortunately this can not be extended around the holidays, though I can see a fully working replacement phone was sent out to you on the same day your returned phone was received by our Team.

The post office sent the phone to wrong place and was lost, I then recieved about 60 per cent of the cash I was supposed to, about two months later.

Sorry to hear the Post Office lost the phone you posted to us, and Royal Mail took a long time to process the claim. We do recommend all high value items are posted via a fully insured service like Special Delivery.

Battery health reduces value by half and the battery health wasn’t exactly 50 percent or near that took a long time to hear delay in response to messages when I asked questions lost my package originally wouldn’t use you guys again personally awful offer

The phone which I had paid to be in excellent condition arrived badly damaged. I did receive a refund but I wouldn’t recommend their business to anyone.
