Nearly 3 hours between e mails and telephone calls not one person could tell me if my payment for renewal had been recieved after a online chat they decided they would refund my payment but I had to make a new payment my refund would follow on 3~5 working days so I would be two payments outlying customer service agent then decided she had finished half way through a conversation as he4 shift had ended at 20.00 hrs SHOCKING

"We were hit by a third party in April 2023. Whilst the claim and repair process was completed by July we needed confirmation that this was a no-fault claim for our classic car insurance renewal. Despite many calls and emails we never got a response from their claims department. We complained and eventually had an apology and told compensation would be paid to us. However, we then got an email saying they were unable to pay this to the original card and requesting new details. Contacting them with the alternative card details was again difficult - telephone queues and unanswered emails - but eventually we got through and the compensation was paid. As part of this process we complained about the contact difficulties and they offered some more compensation. Great but we then got the same email saying they couldn't refund to the original card... completely ignoring the updated information we'd given them. Now nearly 12 months later, whilst the third party settled back in December, the claim is still showing as open and we're waiting on yet another promised response to confirm no-fault. In summary very frustrating to deal with and very, very poor customer service."

I have been a customer of SW for 25+ years, having up to 6 cars and a house insured simultaneously. Over last year or so the company seems to have totally collapsed in every way...impossible to contact, infinite waits on phone, blocked by inpenetrable automatioin with changed website and virtual chatbox.....dreadful experiences. What has happened to them?? How have they suddenly got everything so wrong?......

Renewal notice showed a massive hike in premium, so I found a better quote elsewhere and attempted to cancel via their chatbot (no phone number given). Had an email saying automatic renewal was cancelled, but still getting emails from them. Cover should cease in 5 days so cancelled my direct debit: They emailed today asking me to contact them online about stopping the payments, but when I did so I just got the chatbot again, no live chat available! So I now don't know if my policy is cancelled as requested or not!

My husband has had a stressful day trying to speak to someone he has been on the phone for hours trying to speak to someone to renew his insurance finally gave up and rang a different company and sorted it. Sheila’s wheels lost a good customer today they need to get their act together.

Cheap Insurance = Cheap Customer Service. I will not be using them again or Esure (same company). Had to claim due to an accident which they established was not my fault but I still had to chase everything up. Many hours on the phone having to chase up my claim (I should have not been doing or wasting my time on) They stated they would get me a hire vehicle as mine was a write of but I received nothing. I had to go to the thrid party insurance to chase this up, they did not even bother doing it. I thought why am I bothering to pay for it this insurance. Was very stressful and I was not happy.

Avoid Sheilas Wheels and Esure - On hold for over 2 hours The online claims system was not working, so I rang to make a claim. Was on hold for 53 minutes only to be told that they could not take the details of the claim and that they would put me through to someone who can. I was put back on hold again, and then I was cut off a few minutes later. Very frustrating. So I tried the online chat service. It was 39 minutes before anyone answered and they also said that they couldn’t take the claim and that I needed to ring the number I had already rung! So i rang the samenumber as before and after a other 35 minutes on hold, finally someone answered who was able to take the claim details. In total I spent over 2 hours on hold before I could finally make the claim. Terrible.

they have had our car since the VERY START of 2024 and we have had 0 correspondence from them since. we have had to contact then ourselves and everyone else regarding the car and have had NOTHING but a massive lack of responsibility from all parties. they have ignored our emails and complaints over and over again, and now we are stuck without a car and unsure the state of it as one minute we are told its deemed repairable and the next minute deemed as a total loss. we are without correspondence or any knowledge still after 9 weeks and it has been nothing but extremely distressing.

We recently had a flood in our home which was our fault. We wanted to phone to find out the process for making a claim and to have a general discussion about whether or not we needed to go through our insurance immediately or if we could get quotes for the work required and see if it was worth just paying ourselves. The representative we spoke to was needlessly combative, judgemental and rude and made it clear they would bend over backwards not to pay out. She tried blaming the builders who created our home before even understanding the details and what had actually happened. At the end of the conversation we still don’t know the answer to our actual question. It’s clear from this conversation alone that this is not a company I would ever want to deal with from a customer service perspective and I really hope we don’t need to use our insurance because they will definitely do whatever they can to avoid paying out. I’ve been with them a few years, this is definitely not going to continue. She kept going on about a plumber, our son overflowed the shower and flooded the ceilings underneath, no plumber required. She kept blaming our house builder for the flooring we laid not being able to contain a flood, so avoid if you have a new build as they definitely won’t pay out. This is what accidental damage cover is for, ridiculous. Never again.

Absolutely impossible to communicate with this company. They have a chat line that doesn’t work and do not provide a telephone number

To be honest they do not deserve a 1 star - more like minus 5 star. What a joke. You cannot get anyone on the phone. After paying for all additions to my car insurance and having my car written off nearly one year ago, (which was not my fault - a delivery driver drove into the side of me) still not been paid. I have been with sheilas Wheels for more 12 years and honestly an absolute joke - AVOID AVOID AVOID
