My wife has just sold her car as having two (both insured with Privilege) one was not now being used so it had to go. We were somewhat surprised & disgusted to be told that there would be a cancellation fee of £53, yes that is correct, £53. HOW THE HELL CAN PRIVILEGE JUSTIFY £53 FOR PRESSING A FEW BUTTONS ON A COMPUTER??????? Having been customers of Privilege for some years, a bitter pill to swallow. Guess who we will be insuring the other car with when it comes up for renewal........

We have had house insurance with this company , this year the price has jumped up so we have decided to go else where , I see in the small print they charge £40 if we decide not to go with them !! what a rip off , will never use this company again

I had an accident in October 2018. Now, OVER 5 MONTHS LATER, I am still waiting for my claim to be sorted. I was hit on a roundabout by a learner driver and I was able to give dash cam evidence to support my claim. In 5 months i've not received a single letter or call from Privilege. I have rung them numerous times and end up speaking to a call centre in India where no one seems to speak English properly or know how an English roundabout works. Now I've received a letter from the other partys solicitor saying I have to pay £800 for their clients costs. I think the ombardsman will be my next port of call. **DON'T GET INSURANCE FROM THESE COWBOYS**

Waited several days to get my windscreen replaced, had a text 5 days later to say engineer would be with me between 9.00 and 11,30. 12.30 and nothing, called autoglass not very helpful could not even contact engineer. If you are going to be late let the customer know it only takes a minute and at least 'we' know. Wasted morning and perhaps all day.

I paid £1600 for one year for my son and I. No accidents , no claims. My son buys his own car costing £2000. Your insurance is £10,000 for my son. Disgusting and laughable. So much rewarding good loyal customers. The experience will be shared as it beggars belief.

if you are new then are be advised to chosen privilege insurance because is to good to talk and nice with us and help with us anything and are to cheapest

To be honest they DO charge a fair bit, just cancelled my renewal with them after managing to get the same deal 350 quid cheaper elsewhere, I never had to make a claim from them, but all my communications with them were pretty great to be honest, Big up to Ejiro who i talked to on my cancellation call, really helpful and a nice dude !

The worst insurance company I ever had. When I cancelled them because I sold car, they charged me 76 pounds despite that the month I cancelled has been paid.

I wish I could give them zero star. I recently went on a comparison website and got the cheapest quote with privilege for my home insurance. I rang them and spoke to one of their agents. I noticed straight away he was very rude, arrogant, disruptive, abrupt and disrespectful.... He was trying everything to stop me from buying the insurance. He called me silly and a liar during the call. He had a very strange, unfriendly & unwelcoming tone to his voice. When I complained about his behaviour, he decided to terminate the call!! I was calm respectful and reasonable during the call, I was only trying explain myself, he had no reason to terminate the call. At one point I felt harrassed and wasn’t sure if it was for real or I had dialled the wrong number but he had all my details so it was definitely privilege insurance. I was in a shock & I discussed this incident with my friend and she said she warned me about this company and said she had the same experience with the same agent. This is when I was giving them business and buying insurance with them you can imagine what to expect if one had to make a claim!!!! Stay away from them.

Absolute Thieves !!! We Made a claim in November in regards to a road accident and everything was going great for about a week. 6 weeks later in between lots of mucks ups eventually in December we were just about to receive our pay out for the claim when we receive a call from Privilege stating 3 of their own customer service and claims advisors had read their own policy wording wrong in regards to our claimand we had indeed been misinformed about our claim and they would no longer be paying the claim!!! We have had so many problems, spoken to so many different advisors none from the UK may i add and none of them know their jobs properly obviously. This company need struck off for false misinterpretations and advising customers wrongly. We purchased our new vehicle on Privileges advise that they would pay the claim so we are now thousands of pounds out of pocket because if the incompetent imbeciles. Avoid like the plague unless you want to pay insurance for no reason and not be paid out, its little wonder people hate insurance companies when you have companies like this treating their customers like this. Again everyone AVOID AVOID AVOID, they are an absolute joke and we will see how they like every bad review and bad publicity i can put there way as well as the financial Ombudsman !!!

I have had so many insurance provided, but the worst one is PRIVILEGE, I got my car hit by someone behind me and my insurance company states that because the other person insurance company said I was slowing turn when turning and also indicated left instead of right that is why they hit me from behind . I thought if you are behind someone you are supposed to slow down and know the intentions of the person before making a move. I am so disappointed, angry, frustrated, stress, furious and sad. How can my own insurance company who are supposed to defend me, give me irrelevant excuses why I have to part 50;50 with someone who hits me from behind. You don't deserve to call your self an insurance company. They now told me they will give me £50 for delaying my claims. What I am doing with £50. You pay so much money but when the reality sets in then they are giving you excuses. I will go as far as it can take to make sure justice is done. YOU DON'T DESERVE ANY STARS.

If there were no stars that's what this so called company would get.....I'm in the process of claiming which has been ongoing for 2 months.....no updates are given and nothing is proceeding unless I call them which I do relentlessly....call handlers have NO idea about claims and I keep getting told the same old information...I have photos, video and an independent witness stating I was not to blame Which they have but still they are dragging their heels in giving me my excess back...will never use this company again....absolutely appalling....DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!

Cancelled my insurance without adequate prior investigation. I received an email to tell me my insurance had been cancelled A WHOLE WEEK PRIOR meaning I'd been driving uninsured for a week. They say they'd sent a letter prior to the cancellation which I dont feel is sufficient. When I challenged as to why they did chase up with an email or call they said they don't makes calls or emails which is just rediculous and un true. Then to make things worse they said they can reinsure me immediately but the new quote was 350quid more than the original which I paid in full only 2 months ago. So annoyed. Poor customer care.

Spoke to a lady from complaints department called Sandy. She was trying to be firm with me and was very rude. When we applied for insurance they unusually asked for so many documents such as V5, drivers license, dvla codes. For some reason they decided to play with us and gave a deadline after delivering what they requested they still cancelled. Complete waste of time better of somewhere else BELIEVE ME.

Got fully comp insurance with prvilege/trinity , my car was stolen / robbed from me at home and was threatened with weapons. Cars was 9 wks old bought for 38,, 000 only want to pay 26,000 but haven't got it yet as it's just paperwork and excuses. And no car not even a courtesy car as it not in garage being repaired never again with these fly by nights

Failed to pay out a claim, to provide a copy of the policy or schedule (despite repeated requests), to return phone calls or to respond to emails - on-going over several years. Utterly useless. I strongly recommend that you avoid them. By far the worst insurance (of any kind) experience I've had.
