Awful company that shows no compassion in these times where we have as a family have had to survive on one income, tried explaining this to them but they then still charge a seemingly made up figure to cancel a policy we cannot afford to pay for!! We will never use this company again and I have been a loyal customer previously. Would NOT recommend.

They were fantastic until I made a claim. The communication from their claims department is absolutely horrendous! I would not wish the experience on anyone. In hindsight paying for the repairs out of my own pocket would have been less painful. Eventually the claim was closed as non-fault. I have that in writing from their customer relations team on Wednesday. A gentleman called Shaun. Shaun lied to me in writing on Wednesday also so I called him out on it. Now he is behaving like a child and is now saying that the claim is not closed despite telling me in writing on Wednesday that it was. Shaun is doing everything in is power to stall the process because he is angry that I called him out on his lies and he knows that I need the claims closure letter. I have never in my life experienced such childish behaviour from a company.

You only find out how good an insurer is when you need to make a claim... Privilege have been absolutely horrendous in every possible way. I would NEVER use them again.

This company is s fraud. Do not use. They lie, destroy documentation etc. Their policies are not worth the paper they are printed on. The positive reviews on here are written by company employees. You have been warned. Use a bona fide company

THIS COMPANY WONT PAY YOU OUT OR FIGHT YOUR CASE. THEY PREFER TO SETTLE 50/50 IN EVERY CASE SO THEY DON'T PAY OUT. BUT YOU WILL PAY OUT!! YOUR EXCESS IS QUICKLY COLLECTED AND THEN THEY JUST FOB YOU OFF AND DON'T WIN YOUR CLAIM.

UNSOLICITED PHONE CALL Absolutely shocking behavior from these people. I have had an unresolved claim where I am not at fault with them for 14 months and they are calling me saying I have accepted 50/50 which I never have! Don't engage with these idiots on the phone. They should write to you.

This a the most horrible company, they overcharged customers with no intention of paying it back. Personally, they overcharged me for last year policy and when I complained about this to get refunded, but they made a lot of excuses to avoid that. Moreover, for first and second year they give discount. After that not only discount for every No claim bonus you get, but also secretively they overcharged you.

A total corrupt and scamming company who will take your money and will not pay out. They also use the loss adjusters "claims consortium group" who are also corrupt. Feel free to google these con artisits before parting with your money. Storm damage refused on the grounds of garage roof being old and having some rust. See the picture with so called failing fixtures and rust (INTACT AND SOLID). Storm on 10th Sept was the cause and was confirmed by three roofing companies.

Cowboys... I had 3 points which I didn't know I had to declare but whilst on to them for a claim as I have had an accident it came to light... so they charge me another £50 and tell me your excess now if u want the car fixed is £650 ?? I was obviously not pleased and said while I'm on I have just moved houses... oh ok.. that will be another £60 even though I'm in a much better area apparently it's through claims and volume of traffic.. my road and surrounding areas are so quiet I sometimes thing the world has ended.. nicer area.. more expensive houses so they put prices up to suit as you can obviously afford it ... so I told them they were cowboys and I want to cancel.. ok that's £58 please... do not I repeat do not ever use privilege insureance no matter how attractive there quote may look on compare websites... stay well clear ... only gave it 1 star as there is not a no star option

Does not pay out on valid claims. Rejected my joint policyholders claim because by playing around with the dates of when the conflict at his work occurred. We checked with the Citizens Advice Bureau and they said that the claim shouldn't have been denied. Now we have to deal with the taking Privilege to the Financial Ombudsman Service in addition to dealing going through employment tribunal out of pocket. I've used Ensleigh in 2009 and they paid up without issue so would avoid Privilege in the future!

AVOID. This company is a shambles to the motor industry. Been involved in a accident which was not my fault. Third party admitted liability. All the documents were provided in the first 10 days and these lazy animals have done nothing. I’ve had to ring 47 times and chase everything myself. No one has a clue what’s going on. It’s gone to the complaints team who are just as bad trying to offer £50. It’s not a money thing here it’s principle why I’m having to chase my claim. Make time out and do there job for them. We are 3 months down the line and we are no better of than we were in may. Nobody rings to keep u updated. A so called manager who’s English is broken never calls back. They have got everything wrong from day one and all the staff are uneducated and inexperienced. I’ve taken this up with my solicitor now. Please avoid. I would hate for anyone to go through this palaver. No one EVER should be treated this way. Take my advice or learn the hard way. U have been warned. AVOID

Privilege told me 3 different things about my claim in 1 call ranging from we will pay 50% to we won't pay anything. This despite my insurance schedule saying in writing that I was covered. I was told by the south african call centre rep that the schedule was 'for guidance' only....wrong its a CONTRACT!! Stay away, stay away, stay away. I will let the Ombudsman have his say.
