This evening my young dog Jack had a brilliant groom from the loveliest man called Dan at the store in St James shopping precinct Sheffield. My little pet looks wonderful, Dan was a dream and looked after Jack throughout. I cannot recommend this grooming experience enough. Thank you so much Dan for taking so much care.

This is a scam company. I ordered a few bags of cat littler online and when they came the bags were damaged and litter leaked out everywhere into the foyer of my apartment complex. I had to clean up the litter and a lot of it was wasted. I tried to use Pets at Home's online service to report the incident, but their system is set up to mysteriously 'fail' when you try to submit a report. I tried phoning them and was on hold for 3 hours on two separate occasions - clearly they don't respond to calls. I then used their online chatbot service. I was told I'd be put through to a human being, and eventually 'Michael O' came up in the chatbox (I'm pretty sure he was living in a non-English speaking country since his written English was quite poor). I explained what had happened and he insisted that I had to return the litter that had fallen on the floor or they wouldn't do anything. I told him that was absurd and that I'd had to clean the litter up with a vaccum cleaner, but he simply insisted that I return it. I sent a photo of the litter on the floor to an email address he gave me, whereupon he said that my case would be 'taken over' by an 'online investigation team' that would contact me in 24 hours. That was the last I heard of the matter. The company is clearly engaged in fraudulent practices, probably has no complaints department at all, and doesn't deserve any custom from anyone.

Ordered a bird table from pets at home. It came damaged in 3 parts not 2 with broken roof and staples sticking out from the supplier the hutch company in damaged packaging with no details or delivery note. The hutch company said they could send a replacement roof but they could not refund as it was pets at homes responsibility. Stores don’t take online orders back and I have no delivery note.Terrible service. Will never use pets at home again

I have been using the pet health subscription for Flea and Tick treatment it is a Monthly treatment plan. They keep taking the wrong subscription amount and at first the product arrived weeks late and now not at all. No one answers the customer service phone, the live chat doesn't work and my account on line can't be accessed. There seems to be no way to cancel it that actually works.

Damaged order yet AGAIN. It's every single order. Terrible customer service, today I have: • Been on live chat 2x to not be helped, no refund given after asking me to send a photo of damaged products, told to wait for email response for refund • Email response says we can't refund here, speak to live chat again. • Spoke to live chat again, no help told to wait for another email! Would not transfer me to a manager as req and told manager will email to refund. • Get an email from another staff member not a manager, to be told again it's being looked into. Still no refund or resolution. • I have also called twice today, been on hold for half an hour with no answer. • Messaged on Facebook, you've opened and read my message but not replied. WHERE IS MY REFUND FOR THE DAMAGED ORDERS?!?! I HAVE EXPLAINED I NEED THE MONEY BACK URGENTLY AS I NOW NEED TO REPURCHASE DOG FOOD! Totally done with your company and constant issues with EVERY. SINGLE. ORDER.

Ordered biscuits for my cat who has stomach condition. 5 days later and still processing. Had to cancel order but was very difficult to get through to Orts at Home Customer Service. Only apologised when I explained I'll have to go to vets to get biscuits. Will never order again from them. Unreliable and poor customer service that is not easy to get through to.

I had been happily receiving an Easy Repeat order from Pets At Home every 4 weeks until this month when I was charged a delivery fee of £3.95. I complained to Pets At Home customer service about this but was fobbed off with a poor response. I have now cancelled any future deliveries & will boycott Pets At Home completely now because of the unsatisfactory way that they have dealt with this matter. Customer satisfaction is clearly not their primary objective.

Disgusted treatment of my puppy at the groom room at pets at home. They cancelled 2 appointments and then we agreed to have a knot cut out but they shaved my samoyed puppy's first coat and most of the hair behind his ear so he has a huge bald patch. I complained and they said tough. He's shedding everywhere and they said they can only brush a dog for 15 minutes?! So what am I paying £60 for!!

Norwich Pets at home, went in for indoor bird supplies, every other pet had racks of supplies, but indoor birds stock was absolutely pitiful and abysmal, 5 or 6 items, are indoor birds not regarded as pets ? very disappointed , not everyone has dogs, cats etc, 1 out of 10 score.

Awful company. Just got off the phone with my girlfriend who ordered cat food to be delivered last Sunday. Evri has lost the order and Pets at Home couldn’t care less. Avoid these people.

I bought 'Ruff and Tuff' nibble and chew toy for my dog. It stated it was bite and durability tested and described as 'extra strong'. In less than 5 minutes my dog had bitten a lump off and swallowed it. I returned to the store immediately to be informed that they would not under any circumstances refund/replace or offer a credit note as it was the fault of the dog! Unreasonable store manager refused to speak to me after I had explained how unjust this decision was, and how they had ripped me off. Disgraceful customer service in the extreme. I have been a regular customer for many years and will never buy anything from them ever again. It is a disgrace!!

took my 18month old dog had cut on paw said its on hard part of paw so put a bandage on charged £45.06 for the bandage joke took back 2 days later said needs new bandage at price of £45.06 i said its ok i can put my own bandage on

Booked our nearly 9 month old puppy in for grooming. Identified to staff I had a 50% off voucher at book in and at checkout. They scanned my VIP card and the voucher and acknowledged it. When I got home I found the voucher had not been applied. Rang the store and was told the voucher was for a puppy groom and he’d had a full groom. This was his first groom ever. He’s not quite 9 months old. They acknowledged I had a voucher at check in. They scanned the voucher at checkout. At no point was I told the difference between what he had and the voucher. Clear the VIP status is not for everyone! I’m not unhappy with the grooming as it was his first one. But I still feel conned out of this voucher and do pleased I didn’t book for his next treatment

Absolutely disgusting online food delivery service, 1st order for 2 bags 14kg dog food no issues and delivery was within 48 hrs. 2nd delivery however advised 48 hrs and it never turned up (Evri) chased with online chat advised they would do next day with (DPD) and gave me £10 good will for the inconvenience of having to go in store to buy a smaller bag to tide me over. Next day, nothing arrived so tried to track order to be advised Evri hadn't even collected. So not only wasn't DPD it wasn't even coming next day. Chased again to be advised they could reorder or refund, so I asked for a full refund and to cancel my subscription. Today I have received my refund LESS £10 good will gesture. Definitely won't be using them again.

The branch at Bidston, Wirral is always reasonably stock and the staff informative & happy to help. Sadly my order was cancelled 3 mins after purchase. I can only assume the item was out of stock as I got got details

Wrong food delivered. Unable to phone anyone to sort it out. Now I have no food for my pets. Did online chat, but they shut it down saying email them. I did so immediately but received no reply. Tried phoning customer services on another number... It says go to online chat. What a joke. You send the wrong order and cannot be contacted.

Passive aggressive/gossiping staff with absent management to ensure they're kept in line. Very poor training being given leading the staff to lack the capacity to understand what is required to keep the animals physically and emotionally safe. If you want to leave with a pet and not have someone tell you you haven't done your research when ... You have I suggest you never ever go to this store. I suggest never going to Bridgewater given the manager allowed customers and their family (who they text on shift) to come and verbally assault me. - Bridgwater.

I took our young cockapoo dog to be groomed at Pets at Home on the Old Kent Road on Wednesday Jan 24th. There were two staff in the grooming room, and the male member of staff had a really bad attitude. We picked our dog up two hours later - he had been shorn like a sheep which was OK as his hair was matted. However, the emotional impact is beyond description. Our dog has never been anxious or distressed until now. Three days later he is still utterly changed. He cowers (never before) he shakes with anxiety and he is stuck to me like glue. Whatever happened whilst we were absent must have been abhorrent. Take my advice - never go near this place or let them handle your pet if you are not present. Were I able to prove this I would be suing the a$$ of these treacherous cowboys.
