After a conversation with the manager of the pdsa thamesmead, I am extremely distressed and in shock with her reply to me trying to get fluids for my cat who is suffering from kidney failure. Although the vet previously told me to bring back my cat as soon as he wasn't well for him to get more fluids, the manager refused to see my cat and advised me to go to a private clinic instead, she said that pdsa didn't have the money to help a dying cat and was extremely rude delivering the message. I am appalled by her dismissive attitude especially since it was the vet's decision in the first place.

I contacted the PDSA after my dog managed to escape from a secure garden, (some nice people had kicked a hole in the fence) unfortunately my dog was hit by a car, he was taken to the vet, where after x ray and so on found that his elbow was broken and need it an operation, the vet assured me that with the op he would make a full recovery, the sticky point is that the operation would cost over £2500. Money which due to the fact that I am on PIP I can only dream about. As requested I asked the vet to forward all the information to the PDSA. The PDSA, despite the fact that I was prepared to cover some of the costs, told me that the only thing they would do was to amputated the leg. Not sure why as they were fully aware that an operation would allow my dog to live a normal life. It is my sad experience that generally speaking most of the vet are only interested in profits, if you can not pay we can only destroy the animal as it is the human thing to do, but I thought the the PDSA as a charity would be more understanding and compassionate. how wrong I was. I do not know where I will get the money from, but my boy will have is operation. Thank you for nothing PDSA

I contacted them because I am fundraising for the charity y due to always loving animals, there is not enough people helping to fundraise, I am having local sales & auctons at my home,I pay for the stock myself, and I am fundraising for my local stroke unit. As I am a stroke victim and wanted to do sometime to help like talking books for stroke victim on the ward,it can be scary because, you don't know what's happened d to you, as you have total memories loss, sorry to go on but until people realize that stress can cause a stroke on anyone, blood pressure is another whuck can cause a stroke soon good t it checked Now

The PDSA in shamrock street Glasgow gave my dog an emergency operation and saved her life, without the PDSA there would be numerous much loved pets suffering and dying, the staff are amazing and the service they provide is top notch.

Excellent with my dog tanya she wasn't well and the way the helped her was amazing, she was really unwell and the antibiotics worked and she is begging to recover. Without them a lot of animals would die because not everyone can afford to go to private vets.

I recently had to go to the PDSA with my sickly cat. Unfortunately, she was too unwell to be cured but the service and care received was so much appreciated at such a hard time. The financial aspect also helped as they done a lot to help my poor cat and I wouldn't have been able to afford it anywhere else. All I was asked for was a donation.
