I found the customer service appalling. I have been enquiring about changing my car over on my policy and also asking for help to understand my policy, I found them extremely uncompetitive and rude. When I mentioned that I have been able to get quotes £50 a month cheaper, which is true! They just said, 'well you are more than welcome to change your insurer at the end of the term.' They didn't even try to keep my custom. They have been very unhelpful and I will certainly not be recommending them! I will not be renewing my policy with them in April and most definitely be going else where. I can now also see it isn't just me and perhaps a one off as 50% of Go girls rating only has 1 star (very poor).

Note the response to my comments: "Hi Mark. I'm sorry to see your review. I have asked someone to call you today to speak to get this resolved so that we can look into this our end. Thank you for bringing this to our attention". Guess what? Nobody called. Just proves that this Company can't even fulfill a simple pledge to resolve their appalling behaviour, so explains why they are unable to provide a service of any sort to customers. I have now sent the type of e-mail they send their customers ... it will read " this mail is to inform you that if confirmation of the approved documentation for this policy is not received within the next 7 working days, i.e. by 14th March, this policy will be cancelled." Let's see how they react to ultimatums when they haven't done exactly what they wrongly accuse me of; and how they might feel about losing £250 worth of business?

Absolutely appalling. Trying to get documentation for car insurance accepted for nearly 2 months. All I receive are automated e-mails saying that the policy will be cancelled unless I send the required documents. I have sent them 4 times. On the first occasion I phoned after the terse e-mail threatening to cancel the policy by mid-night, I was told that I needed to send a copy of the back of a photocard licence as well as the front. I asked why nobody had told me this. The response? “ we are a web-based business and can’t respond to individual problems. ” I sent all the documentation and still the cancellation notices kept coming. No response to my mails to customer services about why I keep getting these notices. I have to phone again, & after waiting for 3 minutes get the switchboard. They put me through to customer services and the phone rings out for 6 minutes. I give up and call again. Switchboard tell me that there are 5 in customer services and that they are extremely busy ( one assumes trying to placate the 49% of customers who give a 1 star review or less ). I wait for 8 minutes before the phone is answered. I am told, after waiting an eternity for the Advisor to retrieve my details, that the scanned documents are too blurred to be read. I ask why nobody has told me this. Answer? “ it’s your responsibility to get the documents to us.” You can imagine my anger. I asked for help. What can I do? Simply told to “ get readable documents to us by midnight “ or the policy will be cancelled. After going berserk, I am told by the Advisor that she will talk to the Underwriters to see if she can get a dispensation to extend cancellation beyond mid-day the following day & get back to me. She called back and said she couldn’t, and suggested I photograph the 2 licenses required on my IPhone and e-mail them. I asked what I could possibly do if one of the license holders was not due back home that evening, so I wouldn’t be able to meet the deadline. Response? “ Get that person to photograph the license and mail it to me to forward on.” Such hassle, simply because nobody can be bothered to tell me that the documentation isn’t readable…. After sending it so many times. Now, I would cancel on the spot myself, but having just paid a deposit and paid the first months direct debit amount I am not about to cancel having paid £100 for 2 months car insurance. As part of my thinking about how I can rid myself of this dreadful dysfunctional, rude, & inept organisation I establish that the direct debit taken from my account is £7.72 more than it should be. When the Advisor called to tell me that the Underwriters wouldn’t help I asked why the amount taken from my account was wrong. The answer, “ Because you haven’t had your car for 7 years until this coming August.” I have no idea what she was talking about. I asked why I hadn’t been informed of this. Response, ‘we e-mailed you’. I never received any e-mail. Notwithstanding that, this organisation is in breach of the consumer credit act as they have varied the consumer credit agreement I have with them without my consent. They have taken more from my account without my agreement. If I was mailed a new consumer credit agreement the law states that I have to accept it in writing or decline it in writing within 14 days. If they did mail me this change ( & I would have queried it to try and understand it ) they couldn’t act upon it without confirmation of my acceptance. The fact they did is illegal. I am seeking legal advice with a view to taking action against this Company. I summary? Unhelpful, inept, driven by IT to the extent that nobody looks into what might be happening, leaving customers to be telepathic; rude, unable to understand who the customer is, blaming me for issues that are the Company’s responsibility. I was lied to. At one point the Advisor said that they had not received documentation I e-mailed on the 23rd February, and then later in the conversation referred to the e-mail they had received on the 23rd. Totally unacceptable. Then add taking a sum of money from one’s account without agreement and in direct contravention of the consumer credit act. Well, need I say more? This is a business that will be out of business very soon. We can accept mistakes & ineptitude but not to this degree and certainly not illegal behaviour.

Hi Clif. I'm sorry that you are finding it hard to get through to us, please email me at gogirlfeedback@sabre.co.uk with your details so that I can help. Thank you.
I would put zero stars if I could. This company is shocking. My direct debit failed, to which I called to pay over the phone on the same day the payment was due, only to be told no you cannot pay over the phone because your payment is pending and we may receive two payments, again I wasn't bothered about this I just wanted to make a payment. Today my insurance has been cancelled dispite many emails (which you don't respond to) and phone calls. Go girl I think the first thing you should do is sack all your customer service operators and THE SO CALL MANAGER, go back to uni and learn some basic customer service skills because at the moment your hiring a bunch of morons, Good Day.... Ps I hope you go bust

Sorry that you have had a problem with the payment and service. Please can you email me at gogirlfeedback@sabre.co.uk with your policy details and we will look into this for you. Thank you, Go Girl team.
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I would give ZERO STARS if was possible. RUDE and RUBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE, ACT LIKE PLAGUES As another review said previously, they should call "DICK TURPIN INSURANCE" They treat you really well when you need to change the policy and give more money. Then start to charge fees and more fees for simple things.

Hello. I'm sorry that you haven't been happy with the service. If there is anything we can help with please email me at gogirlfeedback@sabre.co.uk. Thank you, Go Girl team.
Don't touch this outfit with a barge pole. Spent about an hour filling in forms first on Compare the Market then all the same questions on their site only to find after buying the insurance, yes I know should have read the small print, that they want copies of all drivers' photo license. Wife and I have never had photo licenses so rang and cancelled. Only been insured 5 minutes and 45 quid fee. Why don't they say BEFORE you waste an hour of your life that this is a requirement. Caveat emptor.

Don't answer the phone, no online service & customer service emails ignored. Decided to cancel because of this. Clearly not possible as... you guessed - they don't answer the phone, have no online service and ignore customer service emails. I'd avoid this and use a more established firm.

Hi Alex. Sorry you haven't managed to speak with anyone. Please email me at gogirlfeedback@sabre.co.uk if I can help with your query. Thank you, Go Girl team.
I felt compelled to write this even though I normally do not write reviews but I would steer clear from this company and take your money elsewhere. Go girl came up as cheapest non telematics on comparison sites as a new driver so naturally I went with them paid the deposit and set up monthly instalments. Didn't hear anything for the first 3 weeks after receiving the policy documents by email after paying deposit That's when the threatening emails, phone calls and text messages began saying they was going to cancel my insurance Upon contacting them I should of apprantley sent dvla check codes and photocopies of mine and the additional drivers licences. This is the first time I heard I had to do that but no problem I got photocopies sent them off recorded delivery and sent dvla check codes by email A few week passed heard nothing then the same we are cancelling your insurance text and emails started again Upon contacting them this time they said they haven't received anything. I checked the recorded delivery on Royal Mail tracking and guess what it got delivered the next day and signed for. I sent a screen shot of this by email and applied yet again for dvla Check codes and add this to the email Got an email saying thanks we are processing your claim Few days later another email saying we need a copy of your v5?? I've never heard of companies asking for v5"s before but I took copies and sent anyway Got an email saying can you please get a new dvla check code because the time limit has ran out and we can't view it By now I'm very annoyed with this company but I send again anyways I then get an email a few weeks later stating that why did I not advise them the additional driver had insurance cancelled Well this was news to me and him the only time he ever had insurance cancelled was when a direct debit bounced they cancelled it but as soon as payment was made they reinstated the insurance but according to go girl this is cancellation of a policy and because we didn't tell them that they said they have no choice but to cancel our policy and plus the broker wasn't happy with our v5 anyway??? Whatever that means I don't know so they said I can take off the additional driver and keep my insurance but basically for a form of punishment for lying on confused.com (According to them) my premium would go up to £345 a month Well I said I wish to cancel then. They said I have to pay up a whole year before I can cancel I just laughed and put phone down Got a text message saying my insurance will be cancelled in 7 days. Took out a new policy with privilege no problems whatsoever !!! Steer clear of this scamming company ! They had £1000 out of me including deposit for being insured less than 12 weeks

Awful company and after reading the reviews here I wish I had looked at them before. Similar to so many others, customer service was shocking and still waiting my refund for policy which never even started, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO INSURE ANYTHING

I am extremely unhappy with the way Go Girl Car insurance handled my policy that I had placed on the 7th of January. We had received three very rude emails from them one claiming that we had an accident 4 years ago, which we didn't and provided proof off,the second email asked us to provide proof of all the licenses again which we did. Then we received another email threatening to shut my insurance policy down within 7 days. After receiving this email from Gogirl I had immediately called them to investigate and discovered that we had some how listed him as a provisional driver. So we are now thinking okay so why didn't you call us sooner about this mistake instead of leaving it this long. We then asked the guy on the phone how much it would cost to insure him as a full driving license only to discover to my horror that it would cost an additional £600 in total costing £1040 to insure a Peugeot 107! I investigated the pricing by using a comparison site called go-compare to find a policy that would only cost £480 with Hastings car insurance for us all on a full UK driving license this time and its comprehensive. I tell him no way am I prepared to pay that amount of money and ask to cancel which would cost me £40! How is that justified? I thought you could cancel within 14 days of the policy starting anyways!

Absolutely discusting company avoid at all costs, insured with a provisional driver as named driver, once passed test premium went up by 700£ they took 90£ to change policy then emailed saying direct debit had been returned and would be no insurance after 7 days to get cover elsewhere which we did happily at 1 third of the price then 3 days later they took the direct debit out of the account anyway, admitting fault and their mistake but refused to pay anything back .... Never dealt with such an unprofessional customer service in my life, and they also take hours to answer any phone calls avoid at all costs the pie chart says it all really, I am currently going to the ombudsman with regards to my problem I suggest you don't take out insurance to save your self the same bother,

AVOID no matter how impressive the premium might be. I insured my stepdaughter's new car on provisional licence with parents as named drivers at the best rate from comparison site for £369. 12 hours later I rang them to bring toward the start date by 2 days. Result - ignoring lengthy holds on telephone - a £25 change fee (OK) plus a £145 increase in premium!!! Staff off-hand and bordering rude. Taking the £45 charge to cancel a policy which has not even begun suddenly seems like a bargain. The stats in this review pie chart do not lie. AVOID.

Run Run ! is all con! I applied honestly online and paid the price applied as an named driver in other vehicles. After cooling time an advisor rang me to say that my NCD was not valid and had to pay another £ 177 on top of the premium paid. Fuming I emailed them twice and got this email. Why waited for a month and then ask for MORE? GG_logos_Round3-02Email Good afternoon Unfortunately we cannot accept this proof of no claims bonus as named drivers are not entitled to any no claims bonus, only policy holders can earn no claims bonuses. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 01306747500. Yours sincerely Sanja Roskanovic Go Girl I have been driving for more that 10 years and my NCD seems to disappear for some reason. Be warned is all con.

BEWARE **** . The car insurance i bought is for my Daughter who is still a learner driver and my wife who be the co- driver when taking the lessons. When filling in the online form i was asked about current no claims discount , and i filled in that my wife had 9 years plus. All appeared to be OK untill after the cooling off period when i got a call advising there was an error with the form i had filled in. Apparently the no claims discount cant be applied due to my wife using it agianst another car. I asked if the premium would increase and was advised it wouldnt as there was already a learner driver premium. I asked "then whats the problem" and was told i needed to pay an admin fee for the removal of the no claims discount even though it couldnt be used and wouldnt effect the premium being payed . I asked to cancell as i felt this was underhand but was told i was out of the cooling off period and would still be charged. I asked what would happen if i didnt pay as i felt "Tricked" because i had answered honeslty and was advised unless i payed the premium the Insurance would become invalid. When asked to speak to a superviosr i got the usual "terms and conditions" bla bla bla line. I shall say no more other than im £25.00 worse off for being honest. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!

Worst insurance company ever - SCAMMERS!! Seemed good to begin with good price, it was £1400 for my first year of driving have just passed my test. In July i upgraded my car and updated them on this, i was charged £250 plus £25 admin fee on top of what i paid originally - there was no questions asked as i suspected it would be quite a high amount as my new car was much newer. Now coming upto my renewal i was sent an email with a quote for next year which i was quite happy with, £1133. I rang up on a saturday and after being on hold for over 30 mins tying to get through to someone (after being passed through to switchboard about 5 times). I did this process around 3 times until someone finally answered and informed me the phones were down since the morning before, how professional for a car insurance customer service - but understandably these things do happen. After going through the quote she finally asked me (the first time throughout the year - this was not asked when i changed my insurance onto another car) whether i was still a student, i informed her that i was now an apprentice. She told me that the quote was then invalid and had to be recalculated. I was worried the price was going to go up dramatically as i had no idea a job had much of an affect on your insurance. She assured me there shouldnt be much of a change. She told me she would call me on Monday when she recieved the quote. On monday all i recieved was an email saying i had tried to be contacted, although this was not true as i had my phone by my side the whole day and no one had called. I phoned the company back after being on hold from a large amount of time again to be put through to a very rude agent who sounded extremely young. He informed me i owed the company £400, which had to be paid by friday. I was very confused and he was very rude and quite patronising when i was asking questions as to why the price was so high. I hung up out of anger and called back later in the night to speak to a manager. The manager again was a young sounding woman who clearly did not care about anything i was saying, she was very rude and disrespectful towards me (i felt as though they were trying to intimidate me and patronise me as i am young myself) she again told me i had to pay the £400 no ifs or buts. I informed her i was not paying the £400 and hung up again. I called a few days later to pay the £400 as thought it was not worth the mark against my terms and conditions which was threatened if i didnt pay it, this would have to be disclosed to future insurance companies, to find noting had been noted down and the new agent sounded very confused when looking at my notes - very unprofessional as communication seems to be lacking in this company. Now the agent was telling me the fee was £460 including admin fee, after i had been told it was £400 by multiple people. I told them to check the recorded calls as i was not paying anymore than i was originally told. But conincidentally none of the calls seemed to have recorded on Monday - again how professional for a car insurance customer services. I was told they are calling me tomorrow to discuss the amount (lets see if i actually get a call!!!) They all seem very rude unprofessional and sound clueless on the phone. They do not want to help their customers out in the slightest and i would never EVER recommend this Insurance to anyone.

Gogirl.con What a joke this company is proper con artists cancelled my policy after 1 month with no reason to why charging me £230 for the month 1 3rd of the total price for the year. I will be taking legal advice on this matter they are like vets charge what they like & you don't seem to do anything about it.

I brought this insurance because at the time of purchase it was the cheapest i could get, £2100 just being 18 and passed test. I transferred from a student to an engineering apprentice which lead to my premium going up by £980! As i pay by monthly installments and had 9 months left this mean i have to now pay £291 a month, I could not even cancel as it would cost me over £1700. As well as this, every time they make a change to your plan to increase how much you have to pay them, they make you pay a deposit.. for instance when they changed my profession i had to pay a £276 deposit, for them making a change?! They are an ABSOLUTE SCAM and I'd urge no one to ever purchase insurance of this company. I am currently saving up to cancel my insurance, which will now cost me over £2300 to do.
