“Awful customer service. Board cracked 2 weeks after we finished building the shed. I asked for compensation to buy wood glue and a tool to hold the wood together when it dries. They wouldn't even do that. AVOID.”

“I wouldn't give this company one star, but is the only way to write review. I honestly cried with feeling utterly ripped off. A pile of wood delivered for a log cabin( sh*t instruction sent via email that are nothing to do with my cabin ), professionals hired by me to assemble what can only be called an utter rip off shambles. Just under 4K for what I now think on day 4 of trying to fix, because nothing is cut properly, the double glazed windows do not and never will fit the ready made frames, the interlocking so called logs were pencilled out correct but cut 3 inches out at the back of cabin , gaps, my god , they probably have shares in Ken DODs teeth, or insured them ! Missing parts, don't even bring that up on a Friday night. So 4 days of paying qualified people whom have erected many a cabin , shed etc, I still have a bus stop , and more cost to get the guys to finish it not to mention buying the missing parts. Just DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY< I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF< IT IS GOING TO COST MORE LIKE 8K TO SOLVE. I really want to take a lump hammer to it. THIS IS A VERY UPSET RACHAEL , with no office space to work !”

“Just don’t !!!! We bought the Billy summer house. My fences were of better quality wood ! Can’t tell you how disappointed we were. I sent it back and fortunately got a full refund. We went elsewhere and for an extra £1000 we got a log cabin which is beautiful.”

“I would give it zero stars if I could. 3 months down the line they still have my money but no product and keep been messed around for delivery dates resulting in lost days off work. Trying to organise a refund. I really wish I had seen all the negative reviews first before I ordered”

“My mum ordered me the 6x3ft wooden and polycarbonate greenhouse. The billyoh 4000. I was super excited and it was my birthday and Christmas present. States it will take two people a couple hours to put together. 2 days with two of us doing it and it still needed the doors fitting, and that was without painting it! The doors that are two inches too short. We had to hammer pieces together because they’d separated/never been put together properly. Nails had been put in wonky so they stuck out, some had split the wood, holes in the panels and trying to use the instructions was like following ones written by a three years old in crayon. Had to use sealant on all the holes, gaps and where the roof panels meet as there’s a massive gap between them. The instructions weren’t even included and I had to call and get them sent to me. The instructions don’t actually tell you what was to put the panels together which is very annoying and resulted in us putting it together and then having to take it apart and back together the right way round. If there where any pilot holes for the screws we’d of know which way round they went. We purchased the gutter kit with the green house at an additional £50, the gutter was warped, there where two pieces of 2m gutter, two hooks and two ends. No corner pieces, no way to join bits of gutter, no down pipe, and when we called to complain to them they didn’t even write it down, said they entered it into the computer but couldn’t say back to us what we just said to them. The gutter pieces they did send where also too wide to be used on the greenhouse. They make you pay extra for a ‘base’ that is 4 pieces of wood, for an extortionist amount of money, so we didn’t buy it, but what they don’t tell you is that if you don’t buy it it’s really difficult to get the greenhouse to sit square. It should be included but it’s not. It’s poorly made and I impossible to get the nails and screws in, even with us making pilot holes, to make the wood not split. Such poor quality. All the customer service team kept saying was ‘well it is a budget model’ personally, I don’t think over £400 is budget at all. I think we could of gotten a better build quality by buying on wish. And probably better customer service! And we all know how dodgey wish can be!”

“Like everyone else I really wish I had read the reviews. I thought being more expensive than high street retailers it would be a quality product. Delivery is advertised as 1-4 weeks and then confirmed as 2-3 after purchasing and weeks down the line still not received and showing as awaiting production. They blame social distancing guidance for the delays. This guidance has been in place over a year so why are they still advertising it as being delivered within 1-4 weeks. Summer will be over and I still don’t have my summer house”

“Appalling service. Ordered 6 x 8 Billy oh t&g shed. 7 to 8 weeks delivery took 16 weeks, 4 cancelled delivery dates. Pieces missing. Damaged and extremely poor quality pieces. No quality checks at all, workmanship is worst ever seen, some parts look like they have been put together by a school kid let loose with a nail Gun! Numerous holes and cracks and apparently this is ok? Was promised some replacements still got nothing and getting completely ignored by the company now.”

“TOTAL WASTE OF £2500!!!!!........I have never paid so much money and been delivered so much rubbish!!.......appalling quality of build, poor quality materials, absolute minimum spec on everything, wrong parts and parts missing, there is absolutely nothing positive to say about this company or their product. Late delivery, not 4/5 weeks as advertised, nearer 10 weeks, non existent customer service, a web site that sends you round and round in circles that in the end gets you nowhere!!.......do not believe their advertising or take any notice of their pictures, it's all overstated misrepresentation, I would not recommend this company or their product to my worst enemy!!!”

“Goodness, wish I had read these before ordering! Did order a little shed. Website claims you will have it within a week and gives you an expected delivery date. however three weeks later still being fobbed off over the phone saying Its in production. I am angry that you can still go on the site and order with the same delivery time promise. Just a corrupt sales tactic!!When challenged about this they just evade the subject. After reading others reviews will try harder to get a refund now prior to delivery and buy from somewhere else!!!”

“Utter shambles. Do not buy anything from this company. I paid £3k for a summerhouse with side shed. It didn't even turn up with the correct technical drawings to start construction. It was missing the main floor bearers to start the build so that should have been the first warning sign. I ordered the following (Order #GBD1677443): • Floor Option : 19mm Tongue and Groove • Choose your wall thickness : 28mm - Walls • Roof Option : 11mm Tongue and Groove • Shelving : Both Sides • Gutter Option : Premium One Side • BillyOh Deluxe Padlock and Hasp • BillyOh Silicone and Gun Set • BillyOh Value Assembly Kit • BillyOh Deluxe 50mm Padlock Protector It was delivered on the Tuesday 4th May. I started unpacking it on Sunday 9th May to start assembly and that's when I started to have difficulties. There were no instructions or technical details as part of the delivery, only the pdf download from the website which references these important documents. I was trying to align the incomplete picklists with the delivery and found I didn't have the correct floor bearers. These are critical to starting the build which meant I couldn't start assembly until they were finally sent on the 28th May. I had numerous emails with different people and was sent the wrong technical documents and even different versions of the same technical documents. All very frustrating and it's obvious that they have outsourced their customer service which has an impact on the quality of service they provide. There is also little quality control in the warehouse otherwise the order wouldn't have had so many errors. I then spent the next two weekends trying to follow the terrible instructions. The instructions often suggest you review the technical document for accurate measurements and spacing which don’t exist. I’m reasonably competent DIYer so managed to get things to work but someone without the correct tools or experience would really struggle. I finally got the roof on and went to fit the doors. That's when I found out I only had 6 hinges and 2 door handles for a 3-door building! This was when I noticed the gutter kit was broken and warped. Also, the padlock protector I included in the order at additional cost doesn’t fit the door frame. It's too wide to be screwed into the door frame so again further evidence of incompetent design. The 3ft and 4ft shelves (also purchased at additional cost) aren't suitable for this building. The instructions show you have to fix them to a purlin framing support which are only in the corners on this building. The walls are longer than 3ft and 4ft. The build quality is terrible and they are selling items which don't fit the building. Very misleading this will be reported to Trading Standards. I had to plane one of the doors because it was 10mm wider at the top than at the bottom. Avoid, avoid, avoid.”

“Ordered Billyoh Tessa Summerhouse Cabin in April with estimated delivery of 7 weeks, 14 weeks later said summerhouse was delivered. I can only describe this as a glorified Wendy house, the big bad wolf would have no trouble blowing this house down!!!! Having spent in excess of 4 grand, I expected a product of reasonable quality, I was sadly mistaken, the 60 year old garage I removed to create space for this summerhouse was better quality and in better condition. Upon checking the terms and conditions, I contacted the telephone number under the returns section which stated returns could be arranged between 8am and 10pm....this is not true....telephone number is a dead line. The only way to contact this company is through the sales telephone number....surprise,surprise! When you do actually speak to a call handler, don't expect to be treated with respect or dignity, instead you should expect to be spoken to someone who accuses you of lying and states "I don't know what your worrying about, you have 14 days to return, call back tomorrow " Good luck with that, 5 phone calls and 4 emails later, I managed to speak to someone who arranged the return of the summerhouse, they also shared the delightful news that I would be charged triple the delivery cost to have the pile of wood kindling removed and refunded.....oh joy! My advice to you....stay clear, find another company to purchase your product from!”

“WARNING to Facebook friends.. FROM MY EXPERIENCE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Customer service is appalling. I now have a shed which is not complete as incorrect parts are not being replaced. The internal support parts were too short and some parts were not pre drilled or drilled correctly. The shed has no internal metal support. Spent best part of two months in email exchange with Garden Buildings Direct sending photos upon photos, videos, explanations of the problem many times and each time more info was requested and then finally advised they will come back to me... chase up emails have now been ignored. “Bought a potting shed. Wish I’d had the sense to check reviews. Over £800 and is the flimsiest shed I’ve ever seen. Been up for 2 weeks in glorious weather, light breeze and 3 of the windows (really fragile plastic) blew out when I opened the door and broke. Emailed the company, told I would have to buy more from them and that the weather (21 degrees and the occasional very light wind) was to blame, therefore they were not responsible. Wood is thin, splits as soon as you put a nail in it. Avoid at all costs.”

“Absolute rubbish , so unprofessional from workmanship to dealing with problems, so bad some else is dealing with the issues concerning our cabin and she's been blocked , why have most of the directors resigned?? Shocking is an understatement , once you've invested a small fortune in a decent base you expect a decent building , the website is unlawful and criminal advertising don't believe a word , don't waste your time and money , I implore you to go e!sewhere”

“Reading through the email, how has this company got 1.15 stars? In all honesty this is the worst company I have purchased from since the beginning of the pandemic, I brought an tower playhouse for over £800. Only 3/4 of the order turned up, I waiting a week for the remaining. I was the. Missing 4 parts, but they said I don’t need them. Crazy the instructions say I do. I was short on fixings, both nails and screws, I had to spend close to £10 buying them myself as I waited 2 weeks for the screws and nails but they never arrived. The clout nails for the mineral felt roof are a long as a double layer of the felt, so cannot reach the roof boards to fix in. But the worst of it, the main tower leg was split in 2, its poor quality wood and was not checked, you can see the treatment has gone into the splits.”

“I bought a 16x8 shed from Gardenbuildings direct. The glazing which is 1.2mm Styrene broke and fell down on 25mph wind. UK has more severe weather throughout. I have asked for replacement and they came back and said that it is not covered under warranty because of it was broken by weather. The shed also is of very bad quality in cutting and finishing. Please never trust or busy from this seller. I have attahed the picture.”

“DO NOT USE. SALES TEAM CALLED ME 3X TIMES TO SECURE MY ORDER AND PROMISED ME A DELIVERY DAY. 3 WEEKS ON STILL HEARD NOTHING. WHEN I CHASE FOR AN UPDATE I AM TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO OR EVEN CHECK TO SEE THE PROCESS OF MY ORDER. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. DO NOT BE LIED TO BY THEIR SALES TEAM. THE DELIVERY DATES ON THE WEBSITE ARE COMPLETE LIES.”

“I genuinely don't think i've ever been less happy with customer service. We ordered a playhouse for my daughter, the delivery date was missed by a couple of days which was fine, but when it was delivered the base and some other parts were missing. It's been over a month now and still no parts, multiple emails, phone calls etc. I get the same response each time, that my order is being prioritised. I've asked them for a date directly and the question is ignored. No sign of any sort of priority system, I have to believe they're still making orders for other customers and just ignoring the issue. It took 8 days for the playhouse to be delivered initially and has been a month (to the day) of me waiting for the parts they missed.”

“Delivery times are a complete lie! When I placed the order on the 8 March 2021, the website was showing the summerhouse as as being delivered in 5-7 working days. Once I placed the order the confirmation stated it would be 10 working days. At the time of writing this review it is the 29th March and Billy Oh are unable to tell me when the summerhouse will be delivered, other than to say it will be 2-3 weeks longer at least. We cancelled and urge everyone to avoid this company.”
