“Have written a review previously about this awful company but just to update… walked into the shed today after one week of the shed being installed and the floor literally cracked under my feet. This plank now buckles and bends when walking on it. Absolutely mind boggling that these shoddy materials can be sold as fit for purpose. Have also had no reply after contacting the company directly.”

“The problems began when we were given a delivery date. My husband rearranged his work schedule to be able to stay at home. At 5pm he received a text to say the shed would arrive in half an hour. It never arrived. We contacted customer services to be given another date. Again, the date came and went. No shed arrived. We had to chase and chase to eventually have a shed delivered to us. The quality. Well…. Inaccurately measured, mouldy, poor quality timber pretty much sums it up. Unbelievably disappointing. Multiple pieces of timber literally snapped as our builder was putting it together. He was so shocked at the awful quality of this shed. My advice… avoid avoid avoid this company. Wish I’d read the reviews prior to ordering a shed from Garden Buildings Direct. Have tried to post photos to their Twitter to show the awful quality of their materials, but they hide all of their bad feedback.”

“As others have stated on here, steer clear of this company. I recently purchased a BillyOh bike shed (7*3). The workmanship is poor (frame height etc. do not match, nails protruding etc.), instructions are incorrect at times and not clear. For a 7foot long roof we were supplied with only 6ft in length! Thanksfully I had some plywood on hand to make up the gap. As others I hadn't looked for reviews before purchasing....really wish I had. I've managed to get my shed up (experience from building other sheds) but I would never buy from this company again. Spend a bit more and use someone else. If only I could give this 0 stars!!”

“Do not buy from this company . Nothing as described . Cheap flimsy wood and badly made . Exposed nails in a childrens play house . Holes in the floor and walls . Cost a fortune to put right and the company offer no recompense . Avoid at all costs . An orange box is made of better materials”

“Woeful company, stay well clear. Delivery time wholly inaccurate, no communication and missing parts on the order. Have cancelled and told them to collect what we have an refund. Always be suspicious of a company who don't advertise a contact number.”

“Disgusting company. Never use. Still missing parts for a summer house I bought my children back in February. Shocking customer service, poor quality product too - so upset three months later to still not have this sorted. Warning to anyone - do not order from this company.”

“Would never buy from this cowboy company again Firstly when purchasing said 7-14 days to deliver, 6 weeks later it was delivered, no instructions we rang on a saturday, the after sales department was closed, however the sales department was open, instructions emailed to us,however wasn't able to check parts until we started building the playhouse, 2 sides missing, again rang to find it was closed, rang Monday on hold 45 minutes, eventually spoke to someone, who wasn't very helpful, my husband eventually spoke to someone on 23rd May, to he told the 2 missing sides would be delivered in 3-5 working days... today is the 6th June no updates, no communication, again had to ring now told delivery is 14th June meanwhile the base is erected, the flooring to the house isn't treated, sick to death of ringing, customer service stinks,”

“Appalling customer service. Waited all day for a delivery that didnt come. It arrived 2 weeks later with pieces missing. Over 3 weeks later still waiting for the missing parts and they can give me no idea at all of when they may come. They do not answer the phone to queries you are directed to the web site chat and no one comes back to questions. However they do pick up on the order line..funny that”

“Waited 7 hours for a delivery that didn't come. No apology or explanation. Delivered 2 weeks later with no warning and 2 panels missing. Driver said every delivery had something missing. Was promised the missing parts 3 to 5 days. Still waiting 3 weeks on. Shambolic. Take ages to answer the phone but call the order number and they pick up straight away. More garden buildings indirect”

“DO NOT BUY !!! absolutely awful wood … nothing lined up and spent a fortune on wood to make this sturdy!!! Big gaps in the floor and holes in the wood , I paid more for the floor too !!! The company offer no compensation”

“The BillyOh garden shed we purchased 3 months ago is awful. It has gaps in the doors and roof timbers. The roof felt ripped within 3 weeks of purchase and we were told it was an act of god and they wouldn’t replace even though the weather hadn’t been particularly bad. We’ve asked for money back as we need to pay to get rid of it and purchase a new one: we spent nearly £700 on this and are so disappointed with this purchase, they refused to give us any money back. It lacks overall quality, durability and weather-resistance.”

“I bought a corner 9x9 summerhouse billyOh Picton it was a load of rubbish parts missing panels which were tongue and groove that did not meet and you could see daylight through them. some wood supplied was in such bad condition I have had to go out and spend £100 extra on wood to make it right. DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT WASTE OF MONEY.”

“At the time of purchase the delivery time was 1-2 weeks, then after 2 weeks I was told everyday for a week that it would arrive the next day. At that point I decided to cancel. To be fair the cancellation was fairly painless and during the cancellation they told me that they didn't have any in stock.”

“Absolutely so disappointed with the summer house I purchased such bad quality. Have tried to resolve problems with customer service they are just useless so I gave up.PLEASE DONT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH”

“Unfortunately I had to provide 1 star as there was no way to give lesser than that. Delivery wise stuff arrived on time so full marks on that but quality wise I can’t believe how poor quality stuff they can sell. I had hired contractor to build the shed but he just after he spent some time building it we all started realising that there are so many issues with the parts. Almost all the panels have holes in it. Yes all the panels has board with holes or very large knots which are coming out with a slight touch of finger. Some panels has broken boards or support beams. Truss was not fitting so I had to unfortunately ask contract to disassemble it half way. I reached to customer care and they asked me to list down the issues and pictures of the parts. They said that wood being natural material its ok to have knots and it along with the broken boards are not structurally making it weak. What the hell is the logic, can someone really keep stuff in the shed which has so many holes in it, what worth it would be? They sent me a guide describing “acceptable limitations and characteristics of wood” even it states that any holes larger than 5 pence coin is not acceptable. I asked them to take this back and I am happy to even bear return charges or replace it good quality stuff and I am ready to pay even more money, but still they are not ready to take it back or replace the parts. I suggests to keep yourself away from them. Literally wasted £950 and £200 for contractor fee.”

“Please avoid of you do not want to be ripped off and want a summerhouse standing after storms like Eunice. The quality is rubbish, wholes everywhere, doesn't fit without alterations by qualified fitters. Contacted customer service about glazed windows snapping, they refused to help and I was required to spend more money to replace them. However they have scheduled delivery 3 times over 2 weeks and still no show whilst summerhouse is being rained on. Horrific callous and unsympathetic customer service. Worst experience by any means.”

“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Summerhouse purchased was an absolute disgrace. Defective boards, splits, holes and leaks. Company refuses to acknowledge faults even after two joiner reports were sent supporting this and loads of photos and videos sent to company. The quality of these sheds ad summerhouses are extremely poor. Please do not buy from this company and go somewhere else.”

“Terrible company do not buy from them. Sent me the wrong shed then the wrong floor for the wrong shed. Cost me over £100 extra in joiner fees and they will not pay it back. Disgusting customer service.”

“Avoid this company unless you want to waste your money. We bought a large shed from them worst purchase we ever made appalling quality no help from customer service nothing fitted properly took 2 men 3 long days to modify things so they fitted for what should have taken about 4 hours. Really wish we had read the reviews first, we usually do but not this time, total waste of nearly 2 grand.”
