“We bought our Gainsborough electric shower a few months ago, it is the worst shower we have owned, the water flow is useless, not powerful at all and we have the 9.5, if it hadn't been for the fact we paid to have it fitted we would have returned it for a refund, we are going to change it in 2024. Stay clear”

“Usually last about 18 month quick to replace engine units so that's why I've stayed with the 8.5 model gone through about 7 so far had enough dont go down my road”

“Had a 9.5 shower fitted when new bathroom put in in 2017 Broke down and replaced it with same model 29 months later and this one has now broke down after 30 months now replacing with a make with much better reviews.”

“I bought a Gainsborough gt350 thermostatic exposed shower valve on the the 9/ 4/ 2014 it is now may one month after the Warranty finishes I tried to get a part for it, just the left hand tap but they no longer make any spare parts so after 3 years I have to spend £120 buy a new one and £100 to fit it do not touch these”

“Now on my 3rd Gainsborough in 7 years, luckily i fitted it myself, and low and behold my 3rd one is on the blink. So for sure i will not touch Gainsborough again The company just do not care about problems. I can understand and agree with all the bad reviews.”

“Now on my third unit, stop on one month after the guarantee expired on all three. Very low water pressure and no hot water. On each occasion contacted service department and have been informed we needed to replace the engine everything apart from the casing. It’s almost as if the units are constructed to fail just out of guarantee.”

“They told me what part I needed so I ordered it, arrived completely the wrong part. Terrible customer service, cut me off when I phoned them. Two emails no response. When I got through told me to return part at my cost . Don’t touch this company, go elsewhere.”

“Paid extra for the shower with chrome fittings, and they sent cheap looking white plastic. Zero customer service or response to my request that they send the parts that I paid for.”

“Had a 10.5 deluxe for four years, had two new engines two new inlet valves and it still goes wrong and has know leaked from inlet valve again causing water damage in new kitchen. In my own opinion I will not touch this make again.”

“Shower packed up and ordered a new one,this during time of Covid 19 lockdown.Company delivered in 1 working day.I am very impressed. Easy to fit yourself and it does what it says on the box. Well done Gainsborough showers”

“My 4th shower has now packed up the last one was swapped under warranty they only seem to last about 1 year utter rubbish I won’t waste my money on another”

“They say a fool and his money are soon parted. Bought one new and sealed on eBay. Faulty! To save redoing the plumbing I stupidly bought another. This one also new and sealed but would not switch off. Guarantee does not cover auction sites or private sellers so unlikely to get a working shower or money back. Use your brain and get a better make. A really bad choice, don't make the same mistake I did!”

“Do not buy a shower from this company. I waited 9 days for the delivery and the company stated on 4 occasions that they had attempted to deliver it and we were not home. this was a complete lie. STAY WELL CLEAR.”

“Had to change two showers in 4 years, last one was bought in July 2017, by July 2018 it stopped mixing water and completely stopped working by October. Have e-mailed customer service at Gainsborough - never heard back. Not buying their product again! And would not recommend it to anyone either!”

“Very unsatisfied with Gainsborough showers as this is the 2nd Gainsborough 10.5 I had to replace because of their engine keeps on burning out just after the warranty runs out.”
