My Express order is one week late and DPD still won't tell me when I will receive my parcel!

Haven’t received the shoes. DPD didn’t deliver on the day specified. Got a message two days later yesterday to say the shoes will be delivered today, but now the DPD app is showing the shoes are being returned. Obviously the issue is with the courier, not the shoes.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see that this has happened and can confirm that you have been refunded in full for the item that is being returned to us. Unfortunately we do not have our own courier and have to use an external service. With the disputes with Royal Mail at the moment, other courier services have been inundated and this has caused problems in certain areas, we are sorry to hear that you have been let down on this occasion. Loved the shoes but too large. One star because returning them is the customers responsibility to pay the return costs!! I think this is appalling and have never been responsible for returns before. There is no indication as to this policy when purchasing. Shoes cost were £79.99, the added costs are shocking. Will not buy from this company again.

Thank you for your review. In the information on our website, where it says returns, there is full information of how to return. There is a lonk on the webite where for £4.49 you can buy a label that covers up to 10 kilos of returns or you can send with any courier of choice. You can also take back to any Charles Clinkard store at no cost to yourself. This may help for future reference if you do decide to order again. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

The boots I ordered almost 2 weeks have failed to arrive. I paid extra for fast delivery as I needed them for an event on 2nd November. It is now the 8th and there's still no sign of them. Very poor service. And I can't find a phone number to speak to anyone about this.

The boots I ordered arrived in a damaged unmarked box, that looked like it had been in the rubbish bin for some time. The boots itself was far too big and very wide at the top. I would have probably swapped them for 1/2 size smaller- However, given you are the only company I have had to pay for return postage (and insistence to send via tracked delivery) , has cost me more than £10!!!! Something unheard of with any other retailers! Therefore I will never buy from you again - and avoid in future Not a great way to build customer experience, nor loyalty

Thank you for your review. We pay for delivery to customer and also pay for delivery again if an exchange is needed. We do recommend if you return an item, that a tracked service is used as this will let you see when the order is returned to us, but you do not have to do this. Tracking is usually about 80p more than the cost of postage, which you can keep low by using second class mail and not a next day service. You can also take back to a Charles Clinkard store (you have a full year to do this ao long as the item is unworn) or use the link to collect + on our website which is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilos. Very dissapointing service. Do not offer international delivery if you do not choose reputable couriers and have the systems in place to successfully deliver on this service. Delayed, missing, cancelled, refunded was my experience with Gabor. Three weeks of hassle.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you have had a problem with your delivery. We use Royal Mail, DPD and DHL which are all reputable firms. I can see on this occasion, we used Royal Mail, but your order has gone missing in transit and has been refunded in full, however your order may still turn up with you. We are sorry that you have been let down, this is not normal, but on occasion we can encounter a problem and we will act on behalf of the customer to resolve this as quickly as possible. Shocking customer service. I bought a pair of sandals from House of Bruar. The strap on one broke after wearing four times. Other customers complained on line of the same problem. I returned the faulty sandal for inspection. I was told that they would require both sandals as their strategy would have been to mend them. I wanted perfect shoes, not mended ones, after wearing so few times I Gabor told me they would not accept a photo of the broken sandal and wanted the shoe sent to HoB. Of course HoB had disposed of it. Rude and abrupt customer service and I'm £85 short. Disgraceful and won't be buying Gabor showes afgainthen contacted Gabor and dispos

My shoes had clearly been worn! Foot imprints inside them and scuffs on the suede. Tissue paper looked like it had come out of the dustbin! Returned and awaiting my refund. Not impressed at all.

We do get returns where someone may have ordered two sizes to check for fit etc, but they should be quality checked when they come in, and checked again before dispatch. We do allow up to 365 for unworn returns to allow you to see if these are suitable for you within the home, before you wear them outside. If you wear them around the house for short periods until the skin between your toes gets used to the toe loop, you will find that they will become much more comfortable for you. Shoes were too small and I had to return them. However, the return postage cost which I had to pay will definitely prevent me from ordering from Gabor again. Royal Mail special delivery to cover the shoe value £11.80. This is not clearly detailed when ordering.

Concerning Royal Mail, we are sorry that you found this to be expensive, it does depend on the service used. Many customers return using a second-class Royal Mail service and then pay maybe 80p more for tracking. However, you can use any courier of choice. I hope that this helps for future reference. I received an email saying my navy trainers were back in stock- so I reordered them to find they were the wrong colour so were not in stock - annoying

Gorgeous shoes, all leather inside which is fab because synthetic shoes draw my feet and they swell slightly and a platform that just adds to the soft spongy feeling on the sole BUT very narrow!!! I’m so disappointed! When will designers and manufacturers realise that at a certain age us ladies need an extra bit of width but don’t want to wear frumpy shoes!!!!

I’ve received used shoes which were a bit dirty at the bottom and they looked a little stretched. Also communication with customer service was slow and incomprehensible and therefore I will not buy from this company anymore.
