Photo on website completely misleading as sandals were nothing like the colour shown.

Shows arrived in bad shape, definitely been tries many times on and looked creased. I had to pay for return £5 asking Gabor to refund return cost due to bad state of the shoes. Gabor haven't refunded postage. I am not happy and would not recommend to use this website .

I have not received the shoes yet, so this is about the "service". I placed my order on 26 May, and it has not yet left the UK. I understand (perhaps) that international orders take longer, and I am quite literally on the other side of the globe, but this is quite odd, to say the least. Mind you, I like Gabor shoes, and I am quite certain that once they arrive I will write another, favourable review, but the shipping is very questionable.

Hello Thank you for contacting us. As you are aware your order has been dispatched via Royal Mail and it left the UK on the 5th of June. I agree that Royal Mail have taken a little longer than expected to process it through their International Depot. Please accept my apologies for this. Once it arrives and is scanned through customs in your destination country, you will be able to follow its progress through to delivery. In my experience, now the parcel has left the UK, it won't be too long before it arrives with you. I hope this helps, but if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. I loved the shoes, but unfortunately they were too narrow for my feet. The reason for my low rating is that Gabor shoes charged me £9.50 for returning them via Royal Mail using the returns label provided and I consider this excessive, considering that I live on the UK mainland.

For future you can return your item back to any of our Retail Charles Clinkard Stores, or you can return using the Collect Plus service for as little as £4.49. I only purchased these shoes as they were called Wide Fit but there is nothing Wide Fit about them. Even my very slim daughter can't fit into them. Now I have to pay to return something I was mis-sold. They look like good quality though.

Very Disappointed, I was expecting wide fitting trainers, the ones that arrived were not wide enough, then had to pay £11 to return them . Sadly, I won't be ordering from you again 😕

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the shoes did not fit. With regard to the returns, it seems that you have opted for a next day signed for service. This is a premium service from Royal Mail. You could have sent back second class which only takes a day more and added tracking which would bring the cost down to around £3.50. You can also take back to a Charles Clinkard shoe store if you have one close to you, or use the collectPlus link on our website that provides a return label for £3.49, but covers up to 10 kilo so you can return several pair at once. We do deliver free of charge and if a customer wishes an exchange, again cover the cost to the customer, but we do ask if an item is to be returned, that the customer can cover the return costs. Despite there being a label attached to the shoe (trainer) stating a removable soft cushioned inner sole was included, none was provided. Consequently the inner sole is very hard and without any cushioning, uncomfortable to wear hence why they were returned for a refund. Such a shame but at a cost of £99 they do need to be pleasant to wear.

Very disappointed I had hoped for some very comfortable shoes after paying quite a lot for them but actually they feel no more comfortable than a cheap pair. they pinched and rubbed as soon as I tried them on possible because I have quite a wide foot and these felt a narrow fitting hence the shoes are being returned.

I wanted to like the trainers I ordered. The style and quality were good, however, the seam stitching rubbed my little toe. The delivery service was fairly fast. My main disappointment was the high cost of returning the shoes so I wouldn't order again.

The sandals were lovely, as expected for Gabor. However, the box had seen better days and it was clear from the labelling that they were last years stock, which had been reduced and the sandals were rather dusty, having likely been sat in a store on the shelf and remained unsold until I purchased them. On ringing Gabor they agreed to honour the sale price and gave me a refund. Overall a bit disappointed.

We do deliver free of charge and ask customers to pay the return postage costs or return to a Charles Clinkard store as stated in our returns policy and also in our terms and conditions. You can return using a second class mail service which keeps the cost down and then add tracking for aproximately 80 pence extra. You can also buy a label on our website from a link to collect Plus where for £4.49 you can buy a label that covers up to 10 kilo in once package. we are sorry to hear that you find this disappointing and hope that it will not put you off ordering in the future. Very disappointed. Trainers arrived and were not Gabor branded and too large. On their way back to you. If I purchase direct from Gabor website i expected the product to be yours.

The order took a long time to arrive and the item was marked when I opened it. The fit was very narrow. Not a standard width. I returned the item and it has cost me £9 to get the cheapest tracked service. I did not realise that returns were not free.

We are sorry that you found the shoes to be narrow, There is a link on our website where you can buy a Collect Plus tracked label for £4.49 which covers up to 10 kilo of returns. Royal Mail also second class with additional tracking usually come in at around £3.50 from customer. Our delivery is free but we do ask customers to cover the cost of the return, we are sorry to hear you were charged so much. Your shoes are being made in a different factory now because the fit is different and they look cheaper . It’s a shame

Thank you for your review. There have been no significant changes in where shoes are made, nor the sizing, we are sorry if you feel that the fit is not the same. Quality is very important to us, there may be some styles that are more delicate, or of different materials to keep up with current trends, but you should find that all are finished to a high standard. You can take back to any Charles Clinkard store, or send back using a courier or Royal Mail service. There is also a link on our website to Collect + where you can purchase a label for £4.49 and this will cover up to 10 kilo in one package allowing several returns to be sent back together. Seem to be narrower than normal but no indication of what width the shoe is. Also the zip over the big toe is not comfortable as it begins just where the join on the big toe is.

There are similar shoes in a wider fitting, if you use the filters on the site, it asks if you would like standard or wide, you may find that there is a shoe that you like as much that is a better fit for you on this occasion. Although described as wide, the boots were actually standard width. In fact they were quite narrow. Sadly I had to return them. As the return is at your own expense, I won't be ordering again.

Gabor shoes has been a brand I have used regularly. However as I have got older but still love nice boots and shoes, I have found Gabor shoes and boots not wide enough even those labelled as wide fit. Have had to return 2 pairs of boots, too narrow. All my friends have same problem. We want nice shoes but our wishes are certainly not needed.

Thank you for your review and for sharing your findings. Some of our customers have found that by getting a half size larger, this increases the area within the shoe and makes for a better fit. It does not work for everyone, however it may be worth a try for you to see if the shoe is more comfortable. If the shoe becomes a little too roomy, you can add an insole and then when you change these on occasion, then it keeps the inside of the shoes fresher too.
