I really liked the style of these shoes but the sizing of them was disappointing. They came up so large I couldn’t comfortably walk in them. I have ordered a smaller size, as they are beautiful shoes but I was sorry to find that I had to pay for return postage to send them back ( something I have not been used to with other online retailers). I hope that the smaller size shoe fits or it will have been an expensive and unsuccessful shopping experience.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your shoes were a little large and that you have had to return for exchange. We do cover the cost of postage to our customers and also for the exchange, but do ask if you can return at your own cost. You can take back to a Charles Clinkard store, we have a few not too far from you, and you have up to 365 days to return an item so long as unworn. Received a pair of white Gabor sandals that had clearly been worn multiple times? I have returned said item and tried to re-order but in the time it has taken to sort this out you are now out of stock and not re-ordering any more 'summer' stock (sandals). Very disappointing.

We do have some items on display and they may have been tried on, or a customer may have bought 2 sizes for fit and returned one. The boots looked great but unfortunately nearly impossible to get on as zip to short. Once on fitted comfortably but too much of a struggle for a design fault.

Wide are not wide enough. Also, no free exchange is a bit unfair. No free returns is annoying.

You can return your oder to any Charles Clinkard store if you have one close to you or return by post or courier. We deliver free of charge but do ask customers to cover the cost of returns. There is a link on our website where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo allowing you to return several pair in one package. I hope that this helps for future reference. Lovely shoes, but way too narrow. I could see they wouldn't fit when I took them out of the box. Disappointed as I has to pay return postage, so won't be ordering again.

Thank you for your review. Although we do deliver free of charge, we do ask customer to cover the cost of any returns. You can send back an item using second class Royal Mail which is keeps cost low and then add tracking which is around 80p more. There is a link on our website to Collect + where for the low cost of £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo, so several pair of shoes can be returned in one package. This was my first time buying Gabor shoes online. I am usually a size six, but bought half a size down after reading reviews which said the shoes came up large. They were still too big for me so needed to be returned. I had, mistakenly, thought Gabor offered free returns (like other similar brands, Geox, Camper, etc), but I discovered I had misread their website and returns are not free. It cost me just under a tenner to return them (including insurance - as I didn't want to risk ending up £100 out of pocket if the parcel got lost). That was enough to put me off ordering a smaller size, in case they also didn't fit and I would be further out of pocket, having to return those. I won't be ordering from Gabor again online. You can return to their branches, but there are none where I live (London). I like Gabor shoes, but will stick to buying them in person from concessions - or online from other retailers (like John Lewis) which offer free returns. Given how often the fit of shoes isn't quite right, it does seem a bit short sighted not to offer free returns or at least where the cost is capped (as the likes of Uniqlo and others do).

I was so excited about getting these boots and was so disappointed when they arrived! I bought two pairs of boots in the same style but different colours at just under £400. The boxes that they arrived in were battered and tatty, the boots were either scratched or looked like they had been tried on by lots of people before me and the inside packaging was insufficient to keep the shape and quality of the product and an array of odd bits of paper and plastic. Processing my order and managing my return and refund was excellent.

Ordering online has its drawbacks, the goods came and were not as expected, narrow in the foot and very uncomfortable, altogether a disappointing buy..... goods returned. Other items bought in the past have been great, perhaps this was a one off thing.

Some items have a different leather to others, some soft and some more robust. This one was one of our softer leathers. We do hope that you find a different item that is as comfortable as you have come to expect. On this occasion, the boots that you ordered were a wider fitting, you usually get a standard fitting so may find that the Medium fit may be better for you. I do hope that his helps. You sent the wrong shoes, I ordered a wide foot 26.966 and got the standard 06.966.46, so I am waiting to hear from you.

Not very fast at sending out my order. The shoes didn’t fit so I had to pay to return them. It’s taking longer than it should to refund the money for the shoes into my account. I won’t be placing another order.

Thank you for your review. Upon looking at your order, it was placed on a Saturday and prepared for collection from the courier on the Monday. This was collected and delivered to you on the Wednesday. We have a free delivery option which states from 2 to 5 working days to dispatch, so your order was actually processed on the first working day. We do have other options available which are paid for, £3.99 for express and £5.99 for overnight. However the overnight would only have made your order one day sooner on this occasion as this would have been dispatched Monday for Tuesday delivery. Your order was returned to us and the refund processed just 7 days after your order was placed. Order placed 12th, recieved by yourself, returned and refunded on 19th. It can take up to 4 working days to show in your account, but this is to do with the banks and not ourselves. We are sorry to hear that you felt that this process slow and that you would not order again. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

We cannot see a previous order for what you have bought in the past, so unsure if it was the same sandal, this one is a vey soft nubuck so you may have found that it did not seem as robust as sandals you have had in the past. The pair I bought last year were very good so I bought the same shoe size, different colour this year. But the straps were looser so my feet went forward in them but I did not realise this until I went outside striding out . Sadly they will not exchange them as I have worn them outside . So I’m quite disappointed . I understand why they can’t exchange but I expected the fitting to be the same as it was the same size. But I am not even sure if they are wearable now as my toe touched the floor in front when I walk

I have had 4 pairs of these shoes and this latest pair were obviously substandard as the stitching to the moccasin wasn't even around the toes. Sent back but cost £9 for tracked parcel. Extremely disappointed.

I never received them! DPD failed to deliver, advised me they had delivered to a post office then i received notice of a refund before the date that i was informed i could collect them from the Post Office. Very disappointed!

We do provide multiple different methods on how to return your shoes to us for a lot less than the £9.50 paid. A few examples of this are the collect + label we provide on our website for £4.50 or by returning on a second class Royal Mail Tracked service for as little as £3.30. I have had a similar style several times in the past and bought these as a slightly higher heel, knowing that they would be comfortable. The front is very comfortable but the right shoe has rubbed the back of my foot, causing a big blister and when I covered it with a plaster, it cut through that. I am not sure whether it will be possible to 'wear them in'.
