I purchased a Romilly sofa in November, within three weeks I complained that the fabric on the sofa looked old already, all puckered up and creased. I live alone and im the only one to have sat on it. I was asked to send pictures to them so that they could get in touch with the manufacturer Emmiera, and they would get in touch with me by e mail, they never did. The next thing I know I was being told that a new cusion had been ordered and would be delivered within 8 weeks. It turned up unanounced and I refused it as this isnt want I wanted. I contacted customer services told them I wasnt happy with this option and that I wanted someone to come here and see what the issue was. I told them that its a quality issue and their answer to me was that if the Emmiera representative came out and states there is no quality issues then that would be the end of it. Nowhere else to go with the complaint. I found the woman totally disrespectful and rude and had no care for how I felt about the product. I paid £1595 for this sofa, its in gold and looked lovely in the showroom. Don't waste your money it looks old already and its been in my home for 8 weeks Disgusting customer service

Avoid this company, I placed an order at the York store over 8 weeks ago, chased up my order today to be told the manager didn’t honour the order as their sales representative had agreed a price that was too low, very unprofessional and unethical company !

Bought the Ariana sofa 2 setter, snuggle chair and large stool that February. After 2 weeks had to get the cushions replaced as they had sunk . Brought new inserts, same happened again . They are not filling the cushions with filling. Back cushions so uncomfortable. To hard and now suffer with terrible back neck and back . £3500 waisted. still on finance , absolutely awful . Looks lovely but it’s not fit for purpose, don’t buy from these

Extremely poor quality of sofa , the foam lost its resilience with in few months. Furniture village complimentary insurance neither external insurance cover this issue. Not sure where to go . The finance is still outstanding and the sofas are ready to be discarded as no longer comfortable to sit on. Give me bad back !

AVOID AVOID Total liars when it comes to delivery dates . Gave them the benefit of the doubt after receiving fraudulent delivery dates last year advise this was a one off , placed an order again this year and unbelievably received the same email saying the delivery dates given were incorrect and still cant confirm a delivery date !

Don’t buy the Rene sofas! They look lovely but are the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever had and are giving me a bad back. I go to bed early each night to avoid sitting on them. Biggest purchase regret ever!

Experience at the showroom was good,no problems, delivery day, they arrived with our sofa, chair and poufe, sofa would not fit through the front door, I was alone my husband was out, they left it in the front garden. My husband came home and with my son in law delivered it into our home, why couldn't the delivery men have done their job instead of leaving me stressed. There quote was we always have problems with these high backs ( g plan).

AVOID FURNITURE VILLAGE. THE GOODS ARE SHODDY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE 100% RUDE. NO SATISFACTORY OUTCOME. I suggested my sofa was not fit for purpose after just 3 weeks, and the reply was "IF YOU CAN SIT ON IT THEN IT'S FIT FOR PURPOSE". and there you have the standards of furniture village!! Do not spend money there. Disgraceful customer care - they do not care once they have made a sale. I bought 2 sofas and stool. Delivery people put arms on back to front and forced them off again before replacing. (I didnt realise sofa came in bits to be screwed together in seconds) After just under 3 weeks of very occasional use the seating and back had lost their firmness leaving baggy fabric. Also one of the sofas creaks when getting up or any movement (most likely from misalignment when throwing it together at speed). Technician came out and said the internal chords are rubbing. He sprayed it with lubricant and said give it some time to work and left. Obviously fault not fixed by a quick spray of lubricant on chords but he'd signed it off on his jobsheet as problem solved. When I rang to say not fixed and problem not solved (and a total waste of my time waiting in) FV wanted to send someone else out as they didnt believe me since technician said it was fixed. The saga continues (too long to detail) and ANY RESPONSIBILITY OF FAULTY GOODS IS DIFFICULT TO RESOLVE IN A CUSTOMER FRIENDLY WAY. They have quoted the signed contract back to me, and to be honest if you sign that (like we all do) then that gives them the go ahead to continue to provide sub-standard products and not care about their customers' satisfaction. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

I thought I’d share our experience of Furniture Village just over 2 years after delivery. When a leg fell off our sofa, I contacted furniture village to be told that it is not covered by their extended 20-year warranty as they class a leg on a sofa as a moving part and only cover it for 2 years. It is now 2 years and 6 months after delivery. I went back to them with the aid of Which the consumer magazine and pointed out The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Furniture Village that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Furniture Village still won’t accept any responsibility, they seem to believe a 3-legged sofa is fit for purpose. I will be very clear here that we only ever asked for the item to be repaired, we were not requesting a replacement but still they wouldn’t budge on their stance. Getting nowhere with the retailer we took it upon ourselves to see what had caused the problem and tipped the sofa onto its back. Instantly we could see the issue. Each leg was held on by 2 self-tapping screws, the main supporting bolts were missing. We could see the screwed insert where a bolt should go and the cut out on the leg for the bolt to go through. We went back to furniture Village with pictures and stated that we just needed the parts that should have been supplied at time of delivery. They are now apparently waiting for the manufacturer to get back to them. This has now been over 2 weeks and despite sending a follow up email, no response. With Christmas fast approaching we spoke with a local hardware store who knew instantly what we were talking about. We purchased the bolts at 40p each, a grand total of £3.20 and have now secured all the legs ourselves. Furniture Village customer care is truly shocking, that they are unable to send out a £3.20 fix for a faulty sofa that should have been supplied at the time of delivery. To us it seems very much the attitude, we have your money, 2 years have gone by, tough!!!! I will add these sofas are not used daily and certainly don’t get anywhere near the use they would in the average family home. If they had been I suspect they would have broken well within the 2-year warranty period.

All good until there's something wrong with your order... We ordered a dining table, bench and extension leaf in September. It all arrived a week later, the guys came in, set everything up for us but left the extension leaf packaged, wow, very impressed. Next day we opened the extension leaf and there was a big chunk missing on one side. The box it was delivered in was perfect, no bashes at all, so the box had clearly been damaged beforehand and somebody in production had just tried getting away with it. Monday my partner rang and emailed FV. Got a response straight away, we can offer a discount (think it was like 10% back) OR you can get a replacement. We chose a replacement (who wants a new wooden table with a chunk missing?). Anyway long story short, it's December now and we're STILL waiting. My partner has emailed and rang multiple times and always gets the same responses, we're awaiting stock, it's on its way, it's at the depot, you can ring the depot if you want (erm, no, that's your job?) it will be within the next 7 days... and still, no delivery. Quite clear what is happening. New customers keep getting the extension leafs as soon as they come in stock and we keep getting pushed to the back of the queue. Not happy at all and wouldn't return as a customer after this, like I say, all peachy until something is wrong and by that point they've got your money so don't care.

Shocking company need shutting down hundreds of people online saying same old thing. When something is wrong it's always your fault they send there people out to view issue who just blame the customer and that's that. £3500 sofa pile rubbish paid for tough leather came and one part is weak sagging they say wear and tear what after few months £3500???? Avoid like plague they are cowboys who need shutting down. If you have a issue good luck you will get nowhere.

Sofa delivered with a collapsing/sagging unit, reported it within 4 days, they claimed via their ‘independent’ inspectors it was settlement and therefore my fault. Even though they offered to fix it. They refused a return even thought that’s my right within 30 days. I had 2 independent reports say poor quality materials and lack of fillings, plus numerous other faults. I claimed under section 75 credit consumer act and won, Furniture Village did eventually offer a grudging settlement (as a gesture of goodwill). Don’t buy from them unless you use a credit card even if only the first £100. All in all a 3 month battle I gave the sofa to a charity.

I have waited 13 weeks for a sofa that was promised in 8 weeks. It was delayed twice. I’d love to say it finally arrived today but alas what arrived was half of my sofa and half of someone else’s sofa. The half that was for my sofa was damaged. Nobody seems to know where the other half of my sofa is or how long a replacement may take. The delivery men also damaged our wall during the delivery. I can only hope the other half I received of someone else’s makes it to them somehow as no doubt someone else is equally disappointed having received half of mine. No offer of compensation has been made despite the drastic level of incompetence displayed here. Avoid this shambles of a company at all costs.

Had 2 lovely helpful respectful young men, Jake and Mike from the Dartford branch deliver a sofa suite today in IG2. They took great care when bringing the items in the house ensuring not to knock anything over. They were polite and very helpful. I hope their manager reads this review and gives them a Christmas bonus as they were really genuinely 2 nice guys. You don't find this very often with delivery drivers thus the reason i felt i should review these guys.

we have over several years bought furniture from the store at York. Each time we have been assisted with our purchases by Sales consultant Steve Tarran. this month we bought three items. I would like to say it was a pleasure to be served by Steve who helped us to buy the items which suited our requirements. This was done in a relaxed professional way which made it a positive shopping experience. Many thanks Steve
