Review regarding Ripon Cathedral Back Bacon I am very disappointed with your bacon. It is cut so very thin, you can see through the rashers, and gives little taste. On cooking there was a fair amount of white scum in the grill tray indicating a high water content. Poor show for an expensive product

I have been a loyal Farmison customer for years and can’t fault the exceptional produce, but have recently had and appalling “computer says no” customer service experience. Was rejected from a “spend £60 to qualify” promotion due to 3 items I buy as part of my regular order being part of a different promotion; something completely out of my control. I've Heard Field & Flower is exceptional so taking my future custom to them out of principal.

Utterly awful, tasteless meat. Easily the worst Chateaubriand ever tasted. Despite being perfectly cooked it proved impossible to cut with an electric carving knife and eventually had to be ‘ hacked’ by a cleaver. Quality dreadful. What a wasted dinner …..never again would I buy from this fifth rate supplier.

Apologies for my late review as I was unaware of the link. I had a very disappointing experience and feel that I should notify you. I live in France and had ordered a joint of venison for our Christmas day lunch. The delivery date was made specifically to enable my Son, who lives in the UK to bring the joint with him when he travelled down for Christmas. The order was never delivered and the communication with Farmison was not helpful advising me to wait until after Christmas. Consequently, we had to purchase whatever was left in our local supermarket on Christmas eve. This was very disappointing to say the least.

If you want your meat delivering on time, don’t bother with these guys. Oh and the customer service when trying to sort out is shocking too. Meat too late for my event now and £100 down as had to buy elsewhere. My meat is still on en route tho apparently from farmison.

Dreadful delivery service, last order I had was delivered late on a Sunday, and now today Father’s Day all of our bbq food which should have been delivered here by 6pm at the latest, is now showing on the tracking that it won’t be delivered until 7pm!!!! So on Father’s Day we won’t be able to have the food I ordered as it will be here too late and we don’t want to eat at 8.30pm it’s too late , I’m so annoyed that this has happened again, when are you going to change delivery company, totally let down and want a refund and you can have your food back

Used to be amazing. Fresh high quality meat subscription, delivered to your door every 2 weeks. Perfect. However, since they have been "saved", service is terrible. Absolutely no reply from them. Wrong info given, telling me that my next sub would be delivered on 5th. No delivery. No emails. No reply to my enquiries. No way to manage my sub online anymore, so I don't even have the 100% clarity that I can cancel my sub, since there's no reply from anyone. Not sure what happened when they came back, but definitely one to avoid now! Shame, because the meat is top notch!

I ordered the Black ham collar joint and was disappointed with the amount of fat on the joint. The taste seemed like a chemical smoke and with the amount of fat and gristle in the joint it was not pleasant to eat

I ordered the " Punchy" f&co horseradish sauce and it was totally lacking any flavor and very far from being "Punchy" apart from the price packing a punch!

Decent meat, terrible service. Placed my first order and set the delivery for 9 days in the future. It didn't arrive. No contact from Farmison or their courier. I had to chase them twice before being told it would be sent again (allegedly) 4 days later it arrived, missing one of the items I ordered. Not great. As the item was missing I was given a store credit, which I subsequently used on my next order. When that arrived, it was again missing an item. When I asked for it to be sent I was told it was no longer available and had to have a refund, which took nearly 2 weeks to arrive. I wont be ordering again.

I messaged Farmison about the fact that I received under weight beef and very fatty pork - which I was disappointed by - their response was surprisingly patronising - all my experiences before had been really great but not sure that I would use again…

Hello David, thank you for taking the time in leaving us a review. We are sorry that you are not happy about the fat cap on your pork. A heavier fat cap can be a characteristic of this cut, and the thickness can vary from animal to animal, especially with the heritage breeds and rearing techniques we use. As you will be aware each animal is totally free range with little or no human interference, as such they will lay down layers of fat in a totally natural way and each breed is different to the last with regards to the amount of fat they produce. As the fat gives this cut its incredible flavour our butchers do not trim the fat on these joints. After reading the reviews left by dissatisfied customers and the meat being tasteless chewy and extremely fatty and not to mention terrible customer services - I have decided to take my business elsewhere

There is nothing to resemble a chicken kiev in this product, there is no garlic flavour, there is no garlic butter, just dry chicken.

I am 80yrs old lived on a farm, so I was expecting first class rib joint which cost 66 pounds 97 pence. What I received was rotten turning black near bone and smelt absolutely disgusting, unfit to eat so much so my dogs wouldn't look at it I sent a message after I received it yesterday but no answer, plus it was not a full boned piece

I did not receive the pigs in blankets I ordered for delivery on 23rd December. Apparently the packers were busy. I understand that customer service are now too busy to reply to my emails. I have received no refund, no proper apology and no recompense for having no pigs in blankets on Christmas Day for as long as I can remember. Absolutely atrocious customer service

I purchased a wing rib of beef for our Christmas meal. The beef had much more fat than was a ) necessary and b ) ( more importantly ) than the product shown on the website ( I attach a photo taken from the website and a photo of the meat I received) Some crude maths .. on the website the fat thickness is just over 20% of the thickness of the product at the widest part of the rib. On the product I received at the same point the fat represents about a third of the thickness ie over 50% more fat than advertised. I wrote to Farminson to complain about this. They did not want to enter into any dialogue about the amount of fat on the meat sent relative to the product displayed. They involved the butchery department who informed me that a ) beef comes with fat b ) the fat is known as a fat cap and c ) the meat would cook beautifully . I knew all of this already but they did not want to discuss the actual quantity of red meat that I received. As a " gesture of goodwill " I received a voucher for 25% of the cost of the meat. I appreciate this but I was not after a gesture .. I was seeking recognition that the meat sent was substantially different from the product advertised. If you pride yourself as an online butcher you should send meat that is similar to the meat advertised or if substantially worse sell it at a lower price. I will not buy from Farminson again and as a sign of good faith I will not use the voucher that Farminson sent me as a gesture of goodwill.

Duck crown ordered for Christmas day was 300g short of declared weight. Have received a voucher as apology but doesn’t take away from the very measly lunch we had at Christmas. Very disappointed.
