The range of bulbs & plants is extensive. Delivery time is good. Given the prices, the quality is questionable. About 50% bulbs & 30% bare root plants I have received have grown, compared with 70%+ from other suppliers. It is hard to claim refund, unless damaged during delivery, as proving why plants didn't thrive is difficult.

The two bare root plants were packed well with clear instructions and the advice about delivery was good. My only concern is that the plants are considerably smaller than in expected and compared to other bare root plants i have received from elsewhere. AS such, i do not see yhem as being value for money.

underwhelmed by bare root plants size I have bought a lot of bulbs this year for myself and gifts to family and friends and been very happy with them . My first experience ordering “ bare root “ plants .Overall i am disappointed with the size of them. They were well packed , no complaints but the final straw was the Alstroemeria. i have already commented to Farmer Gracy on this subject and they have been asked me to wait and see how they develop and contact them again . I have been nurturing , plants, babies, livestock , cereal crops, and recently the old and infirm for past 60 + years . However it was the size and value for money. I am commenting on .I Enclose photos of the 3 Alstroemeria , Fabian has one shoot, Mulan 3/4 and Yentle a couple more. each priced at £8.47 plus tax and P and P . Alongside is a nursery grown plant that had i bought this week . 3 this size would have cost the same amount £30-00. Also in photo is one shoot that broke from another plant in my garden . Streets ahead of Fabia.

Dear Farmer Gracy, Thank you, this week I received my order no. ORDER FG1589628, but it looks like this Canna will not be viable (soft, rotten, only part of the root is still alive). The rest of the my order units look decent, but that will be seen in the coming weeks. Happy holidays, Zane

The company is very good at salesmanship like special offers and being plagued with lots of emails but what I as a keen plantsman want is correctly named healthy plants for a reasonable price which sometimes they can oblige me with but not always. I've had the odd wrong variety, plants arriving badly packed with the box burst open, the lilies arrived in a less than dormant state they had shoots on at least six inches long they must have been kept too warm somewhere instead of in cold storage. The Dahlia tuber has no signs of life it looks as dead as a dodo. I would usually expect to see tiny shoots at this time of year. The 10 perennial plants are very variable in size from rather small and mean to exceedingly generous, I obviously realise some plants do produce bigger roots etc but even so I would have expected more consistency in size. All Nurseries make mistakes and farmer Gracie is a good average so you pays your money and take your chance. They are ok but with a huge emphasis on marketing and fancy postcards and artwork. Personally I think they should put more effort into the quality and consistency of the plants that they sell and their packing which lacks parcel tape.

I made my order end of December, with understanding that my order would come during February/March. I received my order the last week of March and whilst this is within the timeline. I had very limited communication from farmer Gracy and I have been chasing getting some update since mid February when to expect my order when my order eventually arrived it was great.

Hello, Thank you for your review. As the order was placed in December, it was due to be delivered in February/ March. This is estimated and is dependent on harvests. It is essential that bulbs and plants are harvested in optimum conditions to maintain the best possible plant health and performance when they're growing in your garden. We apologise that your order arrived at the end of the anticipated window and for any inconvenience caused. All the best, Farmer Gracy Customer Care

Gladioli bulbs advertised as 12-14cm arrived as 8cm. At least they refunded 50% of the cost and I hope I will get some kind of a display from these tiny bulbs. What I found disappointing is that they could have emailed that the sizes were tiny due to a poor harvest and when I complained there was no acceptance of any wrong, just that the harvest was small across the board and any replacement bulbs were likely to be equally small. I would have expected at least “We are sorry the bulbs were significantly below the advertised size …” rather than just sending them and hoping!

Hello, Thank you for your review. We understand the matter regarding the gladiolus is disappointing and we apologise that they are not the size you were expecting. We are confident that despite this, they should produce a good show this year. If you have any further concerns then please feel free to contact the team again. Almost all the bulbs have come up and are good quality and true to type (a failing with some suppliers in my experience). However, the herbaceous perennials we have just received are very small and not viable without first potting up and growing in a protected environment. I am a professional grower and gardener of over fifty years experience, so I do know what I'm talking about.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We recommend that all small bare root varieties are potted up into small temporary pots and grown on for 2-3 months prior to planting out into borders. Hardy varieties can be positioned outdoors while they establish some growth. If you have any concerns regarding any of the items you have received, please send an email to customercare@farmergracy.com and one of the team will be happy to assist you. Have always been happy with bulb purchases but this time having ordered plants I am very disappointed. 3 bare root roses and a clematis arrived squashed together with damaged shoots, in a very small box. I have potted them up and put in to a cold frame but none of them look happy. I will be amazed if any grow on to be like the plants in the photos, if they grow at all. This will be the first and last time that I order plants.

Hello, We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the order received. Dahlia tubers are naturally different shapes and sizes, often a tuber which appears small will still grow into a full-size flowering plant. If you have any concerns regarding the dahlias you've received, please send an email including photos to customercare@farmergracy.com so we can reassure you or arrange replacements if needed. underwhelmed I have been delighted with bulbs ordered for myself and friends and family this winter. However i have been underwhelmed by the size of “ bare root plants “ They were very well and carefully packaged and arrived in good condition but size wise / cost wise I was disappointed especially when i compared them with plants in my local nursery . In future i will just stick to ordering bulbs . i have made comments to Farmer Grace but the reply of “well wait and see “ didn’t help ! Of course i will wait and see and they will grow but expected more for my money .

Hello, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear this. Bare root plants are naturally different shapes and sizes and the roots will continue to grow after planting. Providing the bare root plants have buds or shoots, they should continue thrive after they're potted up. If the plants appear viable and of an average size, we will usually advise to plant them and update us in the coming weeks if there are any issues with growth. If you have any further concerns regarding their growth then please contact the customer care team again to discuss. All the best, Farmer Gracy Customer Care

The order arrived in a box that had burst open at the bottom I would consider the packing to be inadequate due to a lack of parcel tape but fortunately all the contents were still there but I was quite shocked
