They are excellent in every aspect. From the presentation and description of the plants on their website (I especially love the "shop by feature" possibility because that makes it easy to buy plants that are for example "pollinator-friendly" or "rodent resistent") to the amiable customer care and to the sensible and nice packaging. All plants we received seem to be in very good shape and I am sure that Farmer Gracy will be our shop for many years to come.

I am happy when I see a package arriving fro Farmer Gracy. Whilst the tulips and daffodils I bought last autumn are all blooming now, looking wonderful, it was dahlias this time. One of them, however was a very small tuber and itā€™s supposed to be the biggest flower, it was the cafe au lait rose colour. I hope it does produce some flowers. Is it meant to be so small?

Hello, Thank you for your review. Dahlia tubers are naturally different shapes and sizes, often a tuber which appears small will still grow into a full-size flowering plant. I put in a very large order at the beginning of February and received it late. It was obviously packed well before shipping, at least in part, and sent off before the Easter holiday where it was in transit for over 5 days. As it was late and tightly packed many of the plants had suffocated. Some of the bags were empty. Some root balls were rotten, some too tiny to be viable. One or two bags were missing completely. I reached out to the company and the onus has been put on me to supply photographic proof. With approximately 80 plants to unwrap in a hurry I was obviously unable to take the time to photograph everything but did inventory as they came out of the box. Not happy with the reply that they would like to ā€œhelpā€ me but I need to provide photos. I have some very irate videos but no time to edit that. General feelingā€¦ for an order over 600ā‚¬ service should be a little more effectiveā€¦ so disappointed. šŸ˜¢

The images enable us to check the viability of the plants in question and allows us to resolve the issue efficiently. I think the quality of the bulbs is top class.The one thing I think could improve is the communication.After your purchase you really have no idea when your parcel will arrive.Will it be 3,4,5 weeks you donā€™t know.I understand that it can be difficult to get the bulbs to the correct stage before posting but as I say a little more communication would be great

Iris tubers were in good condition when I got to unpack them. Evri courier went to the wrong address first time round and by the time the tubers were delivered we were on holiday so only got to them a week later. Just thankful they were tubers and not plants in pots. I feel you were let down by your courier unfortunately.

I was very happy with the plants etc having been a Gardener Landscaper many years ago and was very fussy with how good the plants where, well everything was growing well and healthy so put your mind at rest and order you will not be disappointed sorry no photos yet as our back garden being Landscaped and we are behind with it all due to the very wet and windy weather conditions

Bare-rooted plants in horrible contorted shapes and difficult to plant. Many already shooted with shoots snapped off in transit. Nothing like I expected. Would have preferred potted plants! Really disappointing!

Bare root plants are naturally different shapes and sizes and the roots will continue to grow after planting. Providing the bare root plants have buds or shoots, they should continue thrive after they're potted up. Iā€™ve bought many plants of many varieties , bulbs , roots and tubers over the last 3 years from farmer Gracy. Theyā€™ve been very successful apart from 2 bulbs. These were immediately replaced and advice given. They have a terrific range of plants . All too tempting. Ordering is so easy , delivery perfect. Plants arrive on time and are well boxed and carefully delivered. Customer service is exemplary. Thank you farmer Gracy.

I have always been pleased with the bulbs you have sent me , though my last orderhas concerned me as all 3 plastic bags containing my bulbs also had tiny flies in them like fruit flies. Can these affect the bulbs ?

As a full time gardener I decided to try Farmer Gracy this year. I've placed several orders and found varying quality in the delivered plant material. I guess until I see the flowering results I cannot dismiss the quality too much however, lots of the Dahlia tubers' fingers were damaged and generally a lot lighter/smaller than the 3 tubers bought cheaper from a high street supermarket. I worry that when a business is scaled up the quality can be lacking sometimes. Maybe I was just unlikely, but again I will wait to see the results. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but I could photograph the growth quality in due course. Vest regards, Jules

Hello, Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that there are concerns regarding the condition of some of these Dahlia tubers. Dahlia tubers can be quite fragile and during harvest they can suffer light damage. Bent tubers which appear cracked where they join the neck are common and this won't usually have an impact on the performance of the plant.
