“Hi Farer, Really like the watch but depending on the light situation hard to see the time on occssions. Strap pin we bit dodgy to get hold of sometimes. But other than that really like the watch”

“Just received the Limited Edition Durham East' Arabic dial, totally brilliant that this was available all be it in far too small a quantity ! As soon as I shared with my friends it was sold out. The Copper and slate grey dial combination with black polished hands and indices is truly beautiful . Naturally would not have bought a cushion case model, but on the wrist this apprehension is immediately dismissed, it wears so well on my 6.3" wrist. Thanks again Farer, hope to see other East' Arabic dials in the future !”

“Overall I was a little disappointed with the watch. The bezel is difficult to turn. The finishing was lower quality than I expected and the dial, hands and indices look plasticky. I like the design overall, which is why I bought it. The movement is finished very well in the exhibition caseback and I like the manual wind. I wish the second hand had Lum on it. The watch strap is not made from a great leather and it doesn’t have a great touch to it (sometimes with hand bags like Hermes the leather is finished with beeswax. Overall I regret the purchase but I had the case inscribed so I would feel bad returning it. I like Farer, but will not make a purchase from them again. I would rather buy a Longines. I will probably rarely wear this watch.”

Hello Donovan, Thank you for your review of your Farer purchase. This is certainly not typical of the feed back we have had on this model. The hands are overpainted in white on metal hands, this is an aesthetic choice to contrast against the Mint grain texture dial. Our straps are made by SIS, in France who supply leather goods to most of the premium accessory brands in France, so again not a response we had anticipated. Sincerely Farer Watch Co

“Bought a Leven 11 titanium and unfortunately there was an issue with the movement and I had to send it back under guarantee . They paid the postage both ways, kept me informed about what was happening, and returned the watch fixed really quickly . Was very impressed with the whole process .”

“I bought the Portobello. I have had many chronographs throughout 30 years of watch collecting including the white Daytona 116520, Moonwatch, Zenith Class El Primero, Hanhart 417 Flyback, Breitling Blackbird - and honestly, the Portobello Chrono Contempo is the most beautiful. What makes it so beautiful is the perfect combination of everything: size, shape, dial elements, hand shape, color, materials - just everything is perfect. The subdial dimensions are perfect and just look so good against the blue dial, the dial glistens so beautifully against sunlight, the hand shape are so nice looking compared to everyone else just copying hands from decades ago, and that yellow-orange ceramic bezel is so dazzling. I love the diameter and slim case shape, and I love how they didn't ruin the dial with a date cutout, I love the bronze medallion on the crown, the thick pusher design and the wonderful "ski jump" lugs. I am not a fan of yellow in general on anything, and it has to be done really well for me to like it on anything. Thankfully it's just perfect on the Portobello, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It makes the watch feel happy and vibrant. The execution of the bezel feels very high-end and I'm glad they picked the right hue of yellow with a tinge of orange, so it has more of a rich luxurious color. I hope that Farer releases a metal bracelet for this watch because it deserves one. It's just too beautiful to not dress up even more.”

“My Stanhope II is a brilliant piece of design. Interesting, well made, simple enough to be clear and with enough layering and detail to make it continually a pleasure to wear. It's also very comfortable and accurate. I'm very glad I bought it and wouldn't part with it.”

“Bought the Thurso watch for my wife's birthday present. It arrived really quickly and looks just as good on the wrist as in the pictures. Quality seems superb, particularly at this price point. I had a very slight issue with the carry case which came with the watch. Jade in customer services sorted this for me within a couple of emails - great personal service. I'm sure this won't be the last one I'll be buying.”
