“Was taken to the cleaners by the family court system , and this firm , outrageously poor representation from Rebecca , awful communication, extravagantly expensive , after all money was squeezed out was told to go social services if I had worries BEWARE you have been warned”

“I contacted Mrs. Ratchford regarding divorce i.e. decree absolute as a non-resident of the UK and my experience was as seamless as it was speedy. Mrs. Ratchford was expeditious and accommodating in our communications throughout the entire process, which was paramount considering our respective timezones. Her ability to coordinate the submission and acceptance of all official documentation was as adept as one could hope for; my greatest concern was the success of contacting my spouse in order to amicably agree to terms and Mrs. Ratchford showed exceptional skill as a proxy and mediator. Between being a layperson as well as unfamiliar with UK marriage laws, I expected a drawn out and daunting process, but Mrs. Ratchford's professionalism and cohesive approach to my needs made interactions with regulating bodies, the courts, and all interested parties as effortless as it was straightforward. I highly recommend this solicitors group; to make such a potentially stressful formality this routine really speaks to the masterful competency Mrs. Ratchford has achieved.”

“I cannot recommend Alison Ratchford enough. She picked up my case at a time when it was in dire straits, and turned it around. Not only is she very knowledgeable and very experienced, but she is also very approachable and always provide straight and sound advice. She was totally invested in my case and knew it back to front. I felt I was completely supported during the whole process, and the feeling of being in very capable hands alleviated a lot of the stress of the situation. From a financial point of view, the cost of each step of the process was always very clear and completely transparent, which helped greatly to budget. Thank you Alison, I can't say enough how grateful I am!”

“I highly recommend Ian Giddings. “I have met Nick when my whole divorce process was early and was clouded with a lot of uncertainties after my EX decided to go to a lawyer instead of the previously agreed just share everything. Nick was very knowledgeable and understanding and was always happy to give good advice. I was very happy throughout the whole process. Would highly reccomnd Wooley & Co to anyone.”

“I won't forget the day I first met Kimberley to discuss my divorce. My head was all over the place, I was confused and really didn't know what to do. You put my mind at ease immediately and I left the meeting feeling 100% more confident and clear headed. If anyone ever thinks they want to try and save a bit of money and not use a family lawyer when things aren't straight forward then they're wrong. It helped me think straight and get on with the important things like keeping my job going, looking after my children, moving house and leaving the legal stuff to you. I felt like I was in good hands. My wife thought that she could dictate every aspect of our divorce and when she received the first corresponce from you it was like a shot across the bow. She knew I was in good hands and backed off. The divorce is now complete but the most important thing is that our children are really happy living between the two of us whilst we can move on with our lives. Thanks so much for all you've done.”

“All along they were trying to get me to pay more than what I paid for a basic divorce. Finally, I paid some more for advice on how to handle the financial part, but then explained that I couldn't pay for it any longer. When I sent an email about where I was with everything pertaining to the divorce, and as a way to explain why it was on hold because my x was dithering on the financial settlement details...I was charged by Woolley & Co. again just because I spoke about the finances in the email. Added to that, my solicitor was quite rude at times, especially when I confronted her about the extra charges. She and Co. even took the time and effort to go through all the exchanges and "investigate" my claims of overcharging, only to tell me that they were right and I was wrong, and in fact they should have charged me more. Such poor customer service I have never seen from a law firm. My solicitor was also frequently very late in her reply's. Lastly, and this is the cream of the crop, my divorce was final in May 2020 but my solicitor just let me know in February 2021!”

“I have been very happy with the service I received. Everyone I dealt with was always very responsive and helpful via multiple means of contact. I was happy that the price I paid was fair too, having got several quotes. I don’t feel at all uncomfortable or belittled in my dealings as has previously been the case with lawyers. Every effort was taken to explain each part of the process and put me completely at ease.”

“I literally paid £1200 for something I had already sorted out and was made use of by this law firm. I literally paid this amount for one application that was sent by the solicitor handling my case to the concerned court and few emails between us. Our initial agreement was to apply for a divorce and after a year of communication back and forth(almost) and a loss of £1200, I still stand where I was to start with. The create a web of legal terms around you that, as a common man, you have no clue of and then strangulate you with it. When it came to actually applying for divorce, i was given an estimate up to £12000. Basically, I threw my £1200 down the Thames.”

“If you want an overpriced solicitor with very poor skills choose this firm. You hire them and they give you an inexperienced person who finds it difficult to string a sentence together. Very disappointed and would never use them again.”

“Woolley & Co Solicitors came highly recommended to me from a friend and I would now like to forward the same high recommendation to other potential clients. I soon became assured that I was in the best of hands. Mr Robotham’s advice was consistently clear and attentive to our needs, providing us with balanced sympathy and professionalism. We cannot praise him enough for his support through many painstaking Court Hearings. He was very patient and attentive throughout the whole process. We feel he was as hopeful as we were for a fair result, feeling our pain along the way. For this we cannot thank him enough, for all that he has continued to do for us. Staff in all departments, were prompt with return emails polite, patient and always helpful with any queries over the telephone.
