The Treck was challenging, but EtH ensures through steady acclimatisation that everyone will reach their goal. In sum, this has been a fantastic journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, in an unique country amongst wonderful people. From begining to end EtH has been a proactive, pragmatic and helpful company - I can't recommend this adventure or Experience the Himalayas strongly enough.”
“Overall this was a fantastic experience and a truly amazing trip. I had great and fast communication from Experience the Himalayas from the start, mainly by email. They were also very accomodating when a closure of Kathmandu airport meant that we arrived in Kathmandu five days behind schedule. The trip was rescheduled accordingly and both the contact in Kathmandu and our guide for the trek made sure that we still got to experience the full trek despite our delays.
Our guide was extremely knowledgable of the whole trail and the many surrounding mountains and villages. His care and concern for us was also very good ensuring that any early signs of altitude sickness were caught and addressed. His understanding of the optimum time to leave each tea house each morning and also reading of the changing weather was also invaluable.

“This was our first time to Nepal and our first time on a trek. Experience the Himalayas were excellent from start to finish. Given issues at Katmandu airport our flights had to change at the last minute and David and Bijay were very helpful and accommodating to our last minute changes.
On arrival we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel where we were made to feel very welcome. The whole itinerary was explained to us and it made us very relaxed about the trip and week ahead.
We did the Poon Hill trek and it was just the two of us with our guide and porter. Our guide, Raj, was brilliant. He made our trip the fantastic experience that it was. Every evening he would explain exactly what the plan was for the next day. He was attentive and helpful from start to finish. Given this was our first time in the Himalayas, we had lots of questions throughout the trek and he was able to answer all of them thoroughly. Raj and our porter, Chhabi, made us laugh none stop throughout the whole trip. They were always asking us if were were enjoying it and if there was anything else we want.We were incredibly lucky to have both of them as it was a perfect match for us.
The trek itself was great and we would highly reccommend it. The views from Poon Hill were stunning and the walking itself was great fun. All of the accommodation that we stayed in was very pleasant.
After such a great experience we would both love to go on another trip like this and would have no reservations at all about doing this via Experience the Himalayas again. If you are looking to go to the Himalayas then use this company, they were great.”

“I had a wonderful trip arranged by Experience the Himalayas in November 2014.
The team in Nepal were very well organised and answered all my questions which put my mind at rest about the rest of the trek. The welcome meeting was particularly informative. The accomodation was very well organised. Special thanks should also go to my guide, Garja, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. This included doing the next day's walking (and back) in the afternoon so as to secure accomodation for the following evening.
I would make the following general observations which might be of assistance:
1. The trip notes for the Everest Base Camp trek contain details (price of food, procedure for tipping etc) which would be helpful to include in the other trip notes.
2. Although ultimately my responsiblity, it might be pointed out (perhaps in the trip notes) that once you leave Nepal the chance of exchanging Nepalese Rupees back into your local currency is next to impossible.
3. The pick up procedure at the airport (although admittedly largely beyond the control of the team) is challenging especially given the presence of a number of individuals whose only aim is to get money for carrying bags. Whilst it is accepted that these individuals will always be present, their ability to obtain money by appearing to be part of the staff could perhaps be reduced if the procedure was tightened in respect of which car was being taken etc.”
“The service from start to finish has been exceptional. All needs and arrangements have been catered for in a very professional manner. The guide and porters on the Poon hill trek were brilliant, keeping the pace comfortable for everyone yet quick enough to complete in a suitable time. They were friendly, fun and informative on the trek then gave us our own space in the evenings joining in later during the down time. This gave a real team spirit. I can highly recommend this company and would use them again for the many other treks available here in Nepal. 5 stars”
