I chose to travel with these guys and must say the trip was a joy from start to finish. great organisation from the airport pick up, a great hotel, arranging all permits and transfers with a personnal touch. The actual trek was awesome with every care to our health being taken into acount with enough time in the schedule for acclimatisation days to help us get the most of our travels. This company has excellent staff and supplies excellent travel opportunities at a fraction of the price of other tour opperators, if you are thinking of treaking to Everest base camp or other areas in Nepal go with this company save money and have a trip of a life time. I have just returned and there is no problem with going to Nepal after the earth quake, if you are unsure dont be, you will be missing out.

Our trip t Base Camp and Kala Patthar has just come to a very satisfactory end, and i can say it has been a wonderful, exhausting , and fulllfilling adventure from start to fnish. Th escenery was incredible, and i was very lucky to be able to share the trek with thrwee outstanding fellow trekkers ho were there to help during those times wihen thins gor difficult. But o must sngle out Mr Tanka Gantam, who was pur guide, and also our porters who carried our bags over the long distances . Tanka is an absolutely outstanding, and knowledgeable gentleman, who encouraged us , and helped us keep a very positvea attitude all through the journey. anybody lucky enough to have Tanka as thier guide will NOT fail. A huge thanks to everyone concerned - the trip of a lifetime. Paul Ward

Just came back from an amazing trip with Experience the Himalayas to Annapurna Poon Hill. Loved all of it, it went far too quickly! We had some great views on the way where we saw some spectacular mountains. Raj our guide was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our trip went smoothly. Our two porters Chabi and Yadow did an amazing job and were great fun to hang out and play cards with in the evening. Bijay was in contact in Kathmandu and helped coordinate everything from there. I also did the Everest flight at the end which was brilliant, luckily the weather was clear so had good views. Highly recommended, would love to go back and do another next year!

Had a great time, the guide and porters were totally on top of the job and great to have a laugh with to boot. Spectacular views, awesome trails and tasty food, plenty of reasons to come back and have a go at a new route. Especial kudos to Raj (our guide) for going above and beyond to make it happen, and for the card games and magic tricks. See you guys next time!

Very good trip. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave very good and easy to unbderstand lessons on the local cultures and history. He had a very good command of the english language which made for a far beter experince thus was able to answer any questions we asked of him as well as engage in generaL conversation and banter betweeen us. we feel that Kumar made our overall trecking experience far more enjoyable due to his personality and easy going nature. If we were to come and partake in other treks in the everest region then we would personally request for kumar to be our guide again. Thank you to experience the himalyan and kumar for a great trip.

We had a wonderful time in Nepal with Experience the Himalayas. We couldn't have asked to be looked after any better by our Guides - they were absolutely fantastic and looked after us so well during our Poon Hill trek. The walking and views were amazing and going through all the villages meant we met and chatted with the locals (particularly the children) and for me, the people made the trip. They were so colourful, happy, friendly and trusting. The Nepalese are amazing people with so much to be proud of. Overall a wonderful experience and a great trip. Gaynor Jayne, UK

Review EBC Trip March 2014 I want to thank the whole team from ‘Experience the Himalayas’ for making my trek experience enjoyable, safe and memorable. The trip notes were very useful and informative, followed by the initial welcome meeting at the Nirvana Hotel, Kathmandu. Bijay was great at making us feel comfortable and solving any last minute issues or needs. The trekking guides Tanka and Rinji were a great team, complimenting each other. They made the tough times more bearable and even fun. They were like personal ‘bodyguards’. Tanka is especially very customer orientated and took care of all the special requests to maintain a good harmony within the group. I personally want to thank all the team, including fellow trekkers for making it possible for me to complete the trek and have this wonderful lifetime experience. Vinod Sabherwal

Our trekking guide, Youssef was brilliant. There is nothing about his work that can be faulted, he was very polite, patient, friendly and we felt completely safe with him. Also the Muleteer, Abdulah was very nice as well. I particularly would like to say how happy we were with the condition of his mule. She was very well looked after. If this hadn't been the case I would have cancelled the trip, as some of the other mules with other groups looked in poor condition, thin and with sores and generally in a depressed state. Lovely clean rooms, although basic they were great. The views were amazing. Would highly recommend this trip to others, had a great time. I wasn't good with the heat so Youssef suggested getting up earlier so that we were walking in the cooler parts of the day

Excellent trip overall - very knowledgable guides and spectacular scenary. The accommodation was basic, as expected, however the poor food quality and numerous bouts of vomitting was not as welcome. I was also not expecting to be told that I had to eat at each tea-house, and not elsewhere. I understand that this was to save Experience the Himalayas money on the accommodation however this was not made clear in the original information. There was also poor communication on the facebook group with regard to what the weather conditions were likely to be like further up the trail, which would have aided clothing preparations. A great trip, all in all, though.

Whilst it was dissapointing that so many of the party were sick (this has to be accepted when in this art of the world) it still does not take away from what was an incredible experience, the whole trip was made all the more special by the incredible guides Tunka & Rinji, these guys were outstanding......knowledgable, helpful, considerate, and above all great fun to be around, and despite the sickness that so many of the group suffered these guys held the team together and were a credit to the company, absolute gentleman. The pace was good and although it was tough at times this is what people expect from an expedition like this......to summarise, tough but loved it !! :-)

Overall, a fascinating and wonderful trip which will last long in the memory. i was also fortunate enough to be in a very good group of people with excellent, patient and knowledgeable guides which made the trip. People thinking about doing this trip should do it, but need to be aware that it is a very difficult trip not ust because of the hiking which is hard but they also need to be able to cope with a combination of basic accommodation, poor food and non existent hygiene combined with altitude problems. if you can overcome the abov challenges then you will enjoy a great trip with a good company who were very organised tthroughout

we had the most incredible experience of our lives. our guides Tanka and Rinji were fantastic and were always on hand to provide information on every peak we trekked past and village we trekked through. the accommodation in tea houses was basic but we were prepared for that and the food was okay. reaching EBC was the highlight of the trek for us and the memories will stay with us forever. Thank you Experience the Himalayas!

ExperiencetheHimalayas provided us with the experience of a lifetime. The guides and yak man provided us with a first class service, looking after us every step of the way. The trek was tough but very rewarding and Tanka was very knowledgeable pointing out the many Himalayan peaks on our trek. For us the highlights of the trip was reaching EBC and seeing Lhotse, Nuptse and Everest. I would certainly recommend ExperiencetheHimalayas to anyone wanting to do this trek!

Out trip was such an amazing experience! The trip was very well organised and our guide was fabulous. I would suggest updating the itinerary as we weren't able to go to the hot springs as advertised. We would also suggest offering people the opportunity to fly instead of getting on the long coach trip. Our 3 days in Chitwan was actually only 1.5 days due to travelling.

Very enjoyable experience, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The trek was very well organised and the hotels were of a good standard. Transport organised by the company was convenient, and the guides go out of their way to provide information about the area and help integrate all members of the group. The website could do with updating as the original itenary appeared changed on arrival; the group did not get an opportunity to visit hot springs as advertised.

My experience of the Poon Hill Trek & Jungle Safari organised by Experience the Himalayas was simply outstanding in every possible way. I found the organisation to be faultless and the effort to please never ending, which in turn made my trip something I will remember forever. Our guide Raj spoke in perfect English, had a wonderful sense of humour and an incredible depth of understanding about the Himalayas in general. In the rare pauses between our laughter, he was able to provide us with answers to all of our questions and to questions we had not even considered. I would thoroughly recommend this organisation to anyone wanting a smooth, enjoyable and most of all, memorable trek in the Himalayas. I for one will certainly be using them again.
