Shocking service ... This company hides behind terms and conditions ... Poor response time, Lucky to get an answer on their emergency line, hidden charges. Cheap for a reason. Do yourself a favour and go with a reputable provider. Most positive reviews are from people who have never had to use the service. From experience I can say that you really don't want to be in a situation where you need this shower.

For the second time I have spent over 26 minutes teying to ring with a salea enquiry and I am not able to speak ro someone which is my preferance. I cannot resolve my quiry on your website hence the calls

I was placed in a queue and it took over 50 minutes for my call to be answered despite this not being a busy period. The call handler kept telling me that there was background noise, obviously I was at the side of the road which is where a lot of cars breakdown in my experience. Call handler found it difficult to locate me even with me giving the junction number. When breakdown assistance arrived nearly 2 hours after call was initially made the mechanic was effective.

The nice young man that came could not start car. His manager by phone told us starter motor broken. My son after he left found broken fuse in 2 minutes. As this was a home start issue I was expecting a man who could diagnose not guess. Not happy with service.

No help whatsoever when I really needed help after having a problem with my car on return from holiday. I was left stranded around the corner from the hotel at Heathrow Airport. I didn't know that there was a problem until I started to drive the car a few yards. I then stopped at the safest spot away from the double yellow lines around the corner. My car was making a loud noise each time Braked and I didn't know if it was safe. I rang your team straight away and expressed my fears about driving any further. I was told that because the car was mobile I wasn't covered with my policy and would have to pay over a hundred pounds (I cannot remember the exact amount) before anyone would come out to me. I was shocked at this and in tears. The alternative was I was advised to drive to the nearest garage. I had to rely on the help of the public to tell me where that was and assist me in getting there because I also had a problem with my sat nav and didn't have a clue where that was. I also told a member of your team that I was miles from home and didn't know the area at all. Incidentally, this was also at the time when we had the most severe weather. I felt very badly let down by your company. Recently, I received information regarding policy renewal. I twice emailed the exact address given and my emails came back as unable to send. I subsequently rang and spoke to one of your team and explained this as well as informing them that I did not wish to renew my policy. I was told that this would be auctioned. I have since received an email saying that my policy has been automatically renewed and the money has been taken from my account. I contacted another member of your team on the 23rd June asking for the policy to be cancelled and my money refunded. I have again been advised that this will be auctioned. I am sure you will understand why I have given a very poor rating.

Car would not start,the pick up truck from owl turned up and jump started the engine, the man said to drive around for about half an hour and it would be ok,next day my car would not start again so I called again to tell them because obviously it was more than a flat battery but was refused a call out unless I paid as it was for the same fault and it was already fixed, the man from owl didn't test my battery and told me that he didn't want to sell me a new battery if I didn't need to buy one,he was with me for about 5 minutes ,which in my opinion wasn't very long to see if the problem was not just a flat battery.

This service is a con I phoned at 5PM yesterday, I was told 60-90 minutes - 3 1/2 hours later i rang and was told the job was complete !!! The breakdown company they used (called D and G apparently) have blatantly lied to Emergency Assist, they claim they turned up at my address and there was no vehicle and I never answered my phone. That did not happen, I have been waiting for them to arrive and have received no calls. These guys claim typically 50 minutes and when busy, 90 minutes to get to you and promise an update when the breakdown service is on the way - this did not happen. I had no update nor any breakdown vehicle turn up. There are only two people working there of an evening. The poor lad who took my call apparently phoned his supervisor (Jack) - who told him to charge me for a call out and they would look into it tomorrow. WOW !!!! There is no one available of an evening that can make a decision and Jack the supervisor had clearly told the lad, Nathaniel, that he would not take any more calls to resolve a customer problem. Their recorded message bangs on about customer care and how they work with customers. They don't. Heaven forbid a more vulnerable person than I had a similar issue with this outfit. This is a complete cowboy outfit. Avoid and go to a reputable breakdown service instead. From my experience this is the sort of business Watchdog investigates. To maintain an audit trail I have emailed their complaints and enquiries email addresses 3 times today asking for the outcome of their "investigation" and proof that the breakdown service actually did call me. I have asked for a full refund now too. Unsurprisingly I have had no reponse

Be Warned. Be very AWARE. Read the teeny weeny type face/ small print of their Terms & Conditions. Their 'National Recovery' does not mean what normal people understand as National Recovery!!!!!! We paid a hefty price for not checking every single word of their small (and it's small!) print.

just the amount of time to get through, only to be cut off and had to redial to wait a further 10 mins for an answer....and this was to sign up via a discount website...only to be told it needs to be done online.

They haven't yet made me happy. Weird how they request reviews when I've not actually had to use your service yet, despite being a policy owner. If I ever need to use the policy, I'll post an actual review of the services when I've used them and not beforehand to make your metrics look better to potential new customers.

AS WITH COMMENTS FROM A PREVIOUS CLIENT I HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY IN RETRIEVING THE COST OF MY TOW FOLLOWING A SKID INTO A DITCH. I WAS CHARGED £300 BUT TOLD THEY EXPECTED THE FEE TO BE AROUND £69 WHICH I HAD NO CONTROL DUE TO NO PHONE SIGNAL AND THE RECOVERY MADE BY THE LOCAL CONSTABULARY ! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO CONTACT BEEN FORTH COMING ! I HAVE ISSUED LITIGATION FOR THE MONEY I PAID !

My car wouldn't start in the garage during the cold spell and snow. Called for assistance and someone came out in under 90 mins which was great. However I was just told my battery was dead. Despite the breakdown man turning up in a recovery truck he said he wasn't authorised to recover my car less than a mile down the road to leave at the nearest garage as my policy is 'home start' only cover. What the heck does home start cover cover then if they chap failed to start my car at my home! Pathetic! Avoid!
