Installation team were first class, the only let down was the quality of the customer service from EEC, missed survey appointments more than once, promising to return calls when information was requested, the return calls never came.

Very well done, efficient. The display is a bit harder to read than others I've seen. The company itself was easy to communicate with, although it was a little more difficult with the workers on the day. They did do the work well, however.

Our solar panels were installed 5 days ago. The whole process was carried out efficiently and with the minimum of fuss and disruption. The company listened to our requirements and responded positively. We were less than confident in the member of staff who did our on-site survey. He was not at all conversant with the details of the vote that we had been given and seemed less than interested in his job. However, when the job was actually done, none of this seemed to matter. We are less than happy that the scaffolding, which was installed a week ago today, is still with us, with a small access door on it at a high level left banging all the time in the wind. Since we are now in the Easter weekend, it is clear that the scaffolding will still be there for at least a further3 days. That will mean that we shall have had the inconvenience of scaffolding for a minimum of 11 days - far too long for a job that was completed within half a day.

The system was installed in a professional manner. It took a while to get the in house display working. I am also still waiting for the DNO documentation.

Work done well. Communication by scaffolders poor, dismantling sloppy. Why don’t you organise the DNO which is required for signing up? Also why was I not told to organise a smart meter which is necessary for export?

Had a solar installation in the past 12 months - the information beforehand (we bought via a local council scheme) was really good, the two chaps who installed the equipment and initialised the system were excellent, worked very hard and were really pleasant. The system itself has been good, wish we had opted for a battery but were talked out of it. The only thing that let it down was the actual booking process. We had scaffolders turn up out of the blue when we had already booked in dates and times, so that we would have someone at home to meet them, and then the installation happened on a completely different day than we had booked. The documentation for the installation, and that needed to get the whole system accepted by the electricity company was delayed massively, some due to COVID, but also due to things not being followed up. We are there now though, 12 months down the line. Shame because the rest of the process has been really good and worth doing.

Hi - Should be 5 Star; as communications and information up to installation were excellent. The installation team were very good. So overall very good but just a couple of issues that downgrades to 4* 1. The scaffolding was unnecessary and just got in the way of the installation team. The roof runs off a large accessible balcony. The survey team said no scaffolding required and the installation team said it just got in their way and slowed them down. 2. The shine link monitoring system didn't work when the installers left (they said it would start working a couple of hours later - but it didnt). A couple of days later I rang the helpline. After 40 mins told someone would ring back - but never did. Two days later I rang again. I spoke to someone who was helpful although really just referred me to google (probably the right thing to do) . The key aspects was the App was not working & no light on the white dongle and only 2 lights showing on the shinelanbox. I had described this to the help line. Only by going through the complete manual did I work out that the dongle was not on - so I needed to take off the dongle and switch on the two hidden little switches that for some reason the installers had forgotten to do. It now appears to be working!!!

The installation team were very good and quick. It's a pity that office staff have so far been unable to provide all the correct paper work. This could be down to the Christmas break so we will have to wait and see.

I am very pleased that I chose EEC to supply my solar PV system. All the staff were friendly from the salesman through to commissioning. After a little discussion to understand my requirements, they designed a system using high quality components and installed the system in under a week. Wow! Why only 4 stars? Well they made too many unnecessary errors. The first installation team didn't have all the parts or the time to install and set up the system correctly. A week later a second team finished the job. The scaffolding was up for two weeks, which would not normally be a problem except that it covered our satellite dish and screwed up our Sky TV box. There were too many occasions when EEC said they would ring back and then didn't. These problems may appear to be trivial now, but when you spend this much money, then it is easy to lose confidence. Overall. if you wish to have a solar PV system installed, then I highly recommend EEC. Just be prepared for one or two rocky patches along your journey.

The initial survey was easy but it took a while to work out the best system as we wanted to include battery storage. Once agreed the work proceeded despite Covid-19 and the system was quickly and neatly installed. Running through the system while social distancing was a bit tricky but we managed. All is running well and we are pleased with the results.

Very mpressed with the quality of work carried out by the plumber and electrician. Also with the prompt response from the office staff to queries raised. The sales team could benefit from a better understanding of the routing of pipework to minimise use of materials and consequently save installation time and cost. Optimistic about the efficiencies the heat pump and solar panels will bring in the future.

Installation was good and the engineer friendly and well knowledge. The price comparable and generally I am happy with everything. I was promised follow up comunications to help manage the system and get the most out of its capability, but this hasn't come. As usual with big businesses, the money has been paid and you are no longer a consideration.

All done at the time agreed and quite efficiently. Unfortunately the whole job couldn't be completed as there was no power to our immersion heater and the electrician was feeling unwell so couldn't track down the problem. I will get my own electrician to resolve this. Only other small issue was with the app where no real explanation was given of how to use it fully.

I would have given 5 if it was completed on time you brought the installation forward by one day Thursday I instead of Friday, but did not tell the scaffolders therefore the scaffolding didn’t go up until the afternoon ie 3.30 finished an 4,30pm of the new installation day. Therefor put everyone else behind and it wasn’t completed until the Monday. Bad communication with the scaffolders and now still waiting for the scaffolding to come down and it’s Friday otherwise roofers and electrical were great.

I would have given this a full score but for one thing. The installation date was postponed by a week but I was told this was caused by illness so I accept that. The tradesmen were courteous and polite but after installation I was not shown that the equipment was working so I have had to accept it (and pay) on good faith. So it is only that where service could have been better

I have expressed, my concern that panels were fitted in the dark on the evening ahead of the planned day. There, was also a, problem with securing the scaffold gate resulting in wild banging on three nights. The electricians were excellent. Better and tighter project management of sub contractors to meet clients not contractors wishes is, needed.

In general I was happy with the service. All the lads working were good, including the Initial surveyor and Quality Surveyor. My only problem was the scaffolding arrangements. The lads didn’t seem to know they were coming till the last minute. Even though very late they worked into the dark to complete. The weather was against the panel fitters so they turned up late. Again been fair they did ring to explain the situation. The fitting went easily over the late afternoon and following morning due to the high winds. The electrician was fine as well. The removal of the scaffold became an issue though. Again the scaffolding company said they had only just received the email when I rang to enquire as to what was happening. I eventually agreed with the company owner for the scaffold to be removed the following Monday. But on Thursday afternoon a team turned up to remove it. I explained to the scaffolder the situation and he was apologetic. Five minutes later he returned insisting the owner want it doing immediately. They did return on the Monday to remove and again were a good set of lads. My problem it seems was the owner. When I had tried to agree an am or pm visit all he could say was he was like parcel force and come when they can. Not acceptable in my view.

Everything was very good - fast, good value, minimum disruption during install. Only issue is that one solar panel partially blocks out a skylight we have in the roof...
