“Suspended my account and accused me of bad selling practices. I am a customer/buyer and not a seller. I assumed I was hacked but I could find no selling activity on my account. I had the account for years and barely used it with a handful of transactions, so I had no idea what they were talking about. They refused to substantiate their claim and condescendingly stated their decision is right and final. They didn’t offer to, or assist in, getting to the bottom of anything. They are the sole authority on truth and their decision is gospel. Their customer services also implied that UK data protection laws, especially your right to any data they have on you, do not apply to them because of their “proprietary technology.” This is a bad company.”

“This is my third purchase from eBay this year and I am now done purchasing from them! The sellers are getting away with shady stuff and eBay will not stop them! I ordered a Chanel I have been wanting for 4 years and the Seller showed it as new but at the last minute changed the photos showing heavy damage instead of "minor". Before this, I bought from someone who was claiming I got my item but never did and eBay did not want to help until my 3rd dispute attempt! Sorry eBay, you'd I are officially OVER!”

“I can't say something bad about the ebay because back in the day it was a pioneer marketplace for e-commerce business. Many people in the beginning of 00's started their business from the ebay reselling different stuff, exchanging products or just bargaining with people. I'm thankful to them that I was one of those who started business on this platform, cuz it has taught me many valuable lessons.”

“I have been with eBay for over 10 years as a top seller. Unfortunately, eBay seems to favor scammers who purchase two items and then return empty boxes to get them for free. We did our best to notify customers about the need to return products, but we were penalized for our honesty. eBay is disappointing.”

“The costs of selling on ebay when I started selling were 2%. They are now 12.8% plus their silly little add on fees. You can be at 20 % basically. For this you have to do all hard work...not ebay. Basically its at the point were its no longer worth it. The final straw for me was they asked for people to keep there postage costs at a reasonable level. Then a year later they decided to charge you a fee on your postage as well as the item. Use facebook its FREE !!”

“I bought Relaxium and was told I could return it for a refund if it did not work. I returned it and did not receive a refund. I believe the seller was E-Commerce. The order stated, "Returns accepted through February 9, 2023." I called on February 6, 2023, to return the product. Shakia from E-bay said that I called too late, and the product could not be returned. E-bay did not uphold their own policy. This is unfair and deceptive business practice. I stated to E-bay in a letter that I would file a complaint with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. I waited two months for a response. Since then, I have stopped doing business on E-bay and I have filed a complaint with the NHAG. I do not usually file complaints with the NHAG but this company arrogantly refused to uphold its own policy.”

“They restrict my account without any warning or anything despite being an eBay seller for 8 years with 100% ratings and positive reviews . The reason for restriction was sudden increase in sales . First they asked me to provide with all tracking so I did , then they asked to wait to be delivered then they came up with another Sh-t and start asking for my I.D and stock purchase details which i also did it but then they just restrict my account for 170 days and not only restrict my account but also hold my payouts for for 170 days as well . I mean seriously ? They sold my products ( My property ) to their customers , they paid for it , products got delivered , eBay got the money but now they hold my money . Who the hell authorized them to illegally hold people's money after selling their products . I have been continuously contacting them and they do the same copy paste messing then from where from India and then hang up on me when i call , they have no idea what the hell are they doing , they are stealing peoples money . They really need to be sued .”

“My eBay account was randomly restricted… My eBay account was randomly restricted for no reason or explanation. After multiple attempts to reach customer support, I just gave up. After searching for something very specific and only finding it on eBay I decided to give it another try. I had to check out as a "guest" due to my account being "permanently restricted". After paying for the item and waiting 12 days, it never shipped. Trying to log in to contact the seller required an ebay log in which I didn't have - for no reason of my own. Multiple attempts to reach the seller or ebay customer care all required ebay log in credentials. After over three weeks of trying to reach out to eBay and the seller resulting in a resolution, I called my bank and they credited they money back to my account in less than am hour! eBay closed my request with no correspondence. Terrible customer service from ebay and no communication from the seller (bcharle68). Do better!”

“Ebay took down my used RV satellite dish that I bought from Dish saying it was counterfeit when it was not. When I checked on the reason, ebay said Dish contacted them and told them not to sell used RV satellite dishes because people won't buy new ones for $500. They intentionally lied about it. Never using them, ever again.”

“eBay is a money-grabbing website which hides behind the scam of we are just trying to do the best for the customer and sellers when In fact they couldn't care less all they want is the money, payment holds are just another way ebay has run this scam hold on to your money while is sits in their bank account earning them interest and when ebay is done playing with it you might just get your money. you can tell ebay doesn't care by reporting listings of dodgy little sellers who ebay just lets the listing run because they want the money YOU SUCK EBAY LOVE RIPPING YOU OFF FOR FEE's WHEN I GET THE CHANCE”

“EBay is absolute rubbish to use as a seller of used designer handbags the joke is I buy them from eBay sites! in bad condition and restore with them ,I do not add to them I do not change their design I just fix them, condition them, recolour any fading, repair cracks etc. As soon as I put it back up on eBay they tell me it is a counterfeit or fake! if I call Customer Service they have no idea how to help or what I'm talking about or why it's been removed sometimes the computer automatically does it sometimes it's an eBay so-called expert looking at photos.. The customer service teams give different advice often contradicting each other and when I point out if you read the counterfeit policy and that these these bags do not fit into that problem area they have no answer... The second joke is there are so many obviously fake and counterfeit bags on their listings that they leave up... even when they have been reported and the points that make them obviously a counterfeit bag pointed out.... I have spoken to many other people in the used resale of designer Bags Arena who have reported exactly the same problems with eBay.... but apparently they refuse to update or educate their staff and systems”

“Ebay is supporting scammers. I was afforded no protection off Ebay when i was scammed into buying locked phones. Quite unbelievable when you consider it is illegal to sell locked phones. So the seller can continue to scam people on ebay. Disgusting.”

“There are sellers selling counterfeit coins.Especialy be aware of buying gold coins because almost 90% of all gold coins are fake ,goldplated brass replicas.Many coins are in fake NGC or PCGS holders! After I contacted eBay and show them evidence they answered that selling counterfeit coins is not in violation of eBay policy! Avoid this marketplace if possible!”
