Have they disappeared? We need to find these cowboys an teach them a lesson. Reward for anyone tracks down Dave. Are they trading as Everbrite or Homebrite still in Sheerness?

Genuinely very good service. I've used DWL three times so far and have always been highly satisfied with their service. I would thoroughly recommend them.

They fitted 2 sets of doors for us totalling £20k... the service was poor. The products have been fitted incorrectly and poorly glazed. They have now been placed into administration. GONE BUST

Paid for 10 year guarantee can't get anyone to answer calls. They did initially and said someone would rectify the problem, still waiting 18 months later. A COMPANY TO AVOID, TOO MANY BAD REVIEWS

Avoid this company!! We decided to use DWL for our luxury new build project after getting quotes from all the main large size architectural glazing suppliers. As DWL were the most competitive and quite local to us and we were able to try the system in their showroom we were happy to give them the order. The order total was approximately £160k, so by no means a low value order. After the initial installation the first issue we experienced was that the sliding panels were impossibly difficult to move and a million miles away from the same glazing system we had tried in their showroom and which they also show in some of their promotional videos. As the glazing is our only route for escape in the event of a fire or emergency situation this was nowhere near acceptable. After much arguing with them about this, with DWL and their supplier blaming the contractor and dirty tracks for the issues, they eventually came and replaced all the brushes which made them much easier to slide, but still not to the level we expected. The next major issue we experienced was that the ground floor glazing panels were required to be toughened (Part Q) to obtain building control sign off. Again DWL and their supplier argued that they had supplied other projects with non toughened glass and had no issues, but this was clearly not the case in all situations and with every building control company. After extensive arguing the only solution was that we had to have a plastic film installed on the inside of the glazing to enable us to get them signed off. Due to the size of our glazing and the limitations in the size of the film it meant we had to have a joint in the film across the middle of the glazing. Hardly what you want when you have paid a huge amount for large panoramic glazing. We strongly believe they omitted the toughened glass in order to save themselves the costs of the extra work involved in the toughening process, hoping they would get away with it. This situation cost us many days of our time arguing with them and liaising with building control and also thousands of pounds of extra building loan costs because of the weeks of delay getting the building control sign off. Both the Architect and QS agreed that ultimately they had supplied us with tens of thousands of pounds worth of glazing that was not even fit for purpose. Ongoing issues we have had are due to the poor installation by their team and are as follows: Some of the sliding panels were not aligned properly with the frames so the metal frames banged into each other when closing which caused cracking in the internal plaster and external render. Some locking mechanisms were not aligned properly so this meant there was still movement in the panel when the door was in the closed and locked position. This also made the panels harder to lock as they had to be in exactly the right position for the lock to engage, not in the fully closed position as you would expect. Initially DWL did send their installers a few times to rectify the problems but they were unable to solve many of them. Their strategy was to remove the fixings holding the end part of the frame in place and then to whack the frames with a hammer in an attempt to move the end frame over to prevent the frames colliding. This again caused cracking on the internal plaster and external render. They also installed coloured plastic packers to try to alleviate some of the colliding frame issues by essentially stopping the glass panel from fully entering the end frame. They informed us these were temporary fixes but they didn’t really work and we have now been left with unsightly coloured plastic packers visible on our high end glazing. Some of their installers complained when they were on site that DWL didn’t pay them enough for the amount of work they were expected to do so hardly surprising so little care was taken when they were installing our £160k glazing package. The original account manager Dave has now left and he was then replaced by Brian who visited our project and who we showed all the installation issues and discussed the huge inconvenience and costs for us dealing with the building control sign off. He ensured us DWL was not going to ignore the situation and that they would rectify the issues but that just hasn’t happened. DWL are currently ignoring our emails so we have started legal proceedings to get some money back and to hold them to account for this disastrous, shambolic and costly experience. You have been warned!!

We had all our windows and 2 exterior doors replaced by DWL. The planning and ordering process was good and their quote was competitive, and they started within agreed timescales. The 2 fitters worked very hard and constantly rushed around fitting all the windows much quicker than expected. However there were errors which included some of the panes of glass, wrong type of glass, bad marks in them and misaligned lead work etc. The 2 aluminium door panels were the wrong size which left a considerable gap which we felt was a security risk. Trying to get these errors fixed was a major problem as the installation manager was very hard to contact and more often than not didn’t reply to messages. When he did reply he often said he would look into the issues and promised to get back to us which also didn’t happen. No one likes to be lied to. After a month of having an insecure house, 2 new door panels arrived, one of which had a large dent in it. In all it has taken nearly 4 months for all the errors to be rectified and 4 attempts to have a door panel the right size, undamaged and the right colour. All these errors could have been avoided had everything been checked before being sent out.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY We had months of delays before installation and zero communication - I was constantly chasing. Once the windows were finally installed we went on holiday for a week. On our return we had a letter threatening legal action because we had not paid our bill - we had only received the bill the previous week. Now we have a serious leak and DWL are refusing to answer calls or emails to come and repair - I can see from other reviews that this is a frequent situation. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!

Had two window installations done. Most awful after service. Refused to repair a faulty window on one job, even though I was prepared to pay for it.

In January 2022 we placed an order and paid in advance DWL Windows to replace 5 windows of our just renovated home (we had moved in in November 2021). On the 14th March 2022 two installers finally came, but the installation ended up being a disaster: 1/ Our brand new bathtub in the main bathroom was chipped in several places 2/ Our also brand new shower tray at the top floor was scratched in several places 3/ In both bathrooms the tiles around the windows was broken and the grouting damaged 4/ The plaster around the hallway window has been broken and then repaired, but to a very poor standard 5/ The wall on the stairs and the stairs themself were damaged 6/ The wall around the top floor window was damaged 6/ 2 bathrooms windows measurements were wrong and the work could not be finalized. Generally speaking, and additionally to what described above, the guys were careless in the way they treated our property, leaving it dirty and with traces of silicon, glue and blood (!?) and other material on floors and walls. Finally, to add insult to injury no mention of the damages was made to my husband - busy working from home on that day, just to accommodate the long awaited installation - other than the broken tiles around the bathrooms window, as if trying to get away with what had been done. Needless to say, we found the whole thing very disappointing and quite disrespectful. On that very same evening we sent an email to DWL Windows listing the damages together with pictures and asking DWL to take responsibility for what happened. A gentlemen called Brian called me back the following day, acknowledging the company responsibility on what happened; another gentleman was sent to fix some cosmetic damages: some re-plastering around the hallway window and the stairs was done on top of some cleaning here and there. It was also agreed he would have come back to replace our bathtub (a new one was delivered in April) and fix the tiles and scratches in the shower tray on the 30th May 2022. Unfortunately - due to a last minute unforeseen emergency affecting their contractor- that never happened and we were only notified the day before. In the meantime another man was send to replace the 2 bathrooms windows whose measurements had been taken incorrectly, but the internal frames that they promised to cover the broken tiles were never installed. As weeks went past we got increasingly exasperated by DWL lack of communication and initiative, we therefore decided to take matters in our hands and contact someone else to get a quote for replacing the damaged bathtub: the quotation given was of £800 + VAT + materials. However along with this we got other bad news: the floor would almost certainly get damaged while replacing the bathtub. We therefore decided to COMPROMISE: maybe DWL Windows installers could see that replacing the bathtub was potentially very expensive, that’s why they were dragging their feet and be so unresponsive! On the 17th of June 2022 we therefore sent another email to Brian and another chap called Jack proposing a much easier solution: send an expert in bath resurfacing and repair to fix the existing damaged bathtub and shower tray, fit the cornice around the bathroom windows to cover the broken tiles (literally a 5 minute job for them), while we would take care of fixing any other damage done by their installer; in exchange of this - and as a gesture of good will for all this ordeal we were still going through - we asked if they could supply/provide a door for us. We also made it clear that we wanted to leave this fiasco behind us asap. Brian verbally agreed to our proposals but never bothered putting it down on an email. They then stopped answering phone calls, returning emails or messages. To sum up, DWL is a disorganized company that acted unprofessionally in an almost puzzling manner, leaving behind an unfinished job, numerous costly damages, a considerable amount of stress and an incredible waste of time! We would certainly NOT recommend this very unreliable company, avoid!

Initial contact and correspondence with DWL was satisfactory including surveying, specification of the windows and responding to our sales queries. This was a high value and complex installation that needed to be got exactly right. We were let down when DWL failed to deliver our windows on the agreed date and were then told this was our responsibility. We eventually proved, and they accepted, that this was their responsibility, not ours. The installers did an excellent job showing tenacity, diligence, good humour and excellent teamwork. The installation team tidied up satisfactorily both in our flat and immediately outside in the lift lobby. However, after they left, we discovered a small amount of debris on the stairs they had used when removing the old windows. The windows themselves, now installed, are of high quality, look great and surpassed our expectations. We appreciated being contacted by the Sales Manager a few days after installation to check that we were satisfied with the installation and to acknowledge the delay in delivery.

The company provided an excellent service from the initial meeting with Lisa to the final installation. The work was completed within the timescale stated. The installer, Mark, was fantastic. The quality of his work was exceptional. He made sure that he thoroughly tided each room as it was completed. I would definitely recommend DWL Windows.

DWL were professional from start to finish. The team were punctual, polite and tidy. On the installation day, the team spotted a manufacturing fault (not DWL’s mistake) which was pointed out to me promptly, and a replacement pane was ordered and installed quickly. Very honest of them to be upfront about it. Would recommend them - the doors look fabulous!

DWL supplied and install two large floor to ceiling Alumil S650 triple panel sliding doors. The price was reasonable and the doors themselves look amasing in situ. Due to Covid-19 disruptions there's a global shortage of polyamide strips used to manufacture the doors so there were unavoidable delays to the installation. DWL were open about this and when the doors did finally arrive in the UK they offered to fit the frames in advance of the glass which allowed our project to progress a couple of weeks faster. When the frames were fitted one of them was not completely level but this was fixed without damaging any of the work that had been done around the frames.
