“I live on a small Island in Scotland and deliveries can often be problemsome. But Direct Stoves changed their delivery procedures to allow my local delivery company to become involved resulting in 1 day early delivery and a saving to me of £180. Much appreciated. Eric Clifford April 2024.”

“I had paid in full for my woodburner , and arranged delivery but it did not arrive ! I rang your dispatch dept and was told to wait until 6 pm , yet still nothing. I was told I would get a call to let me know if it would be am or pm but again no call. So I would either like my stove to be delivered or a full refund. Very unhappy.”

Hi Nicola, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of the issue experienced with delivery. As our colleagues in the Dispatch team will have advised, deliveries via the free one-man service are generally between 09:00-18:00. It would have been entirely possible (at the time that you called) that the pallet would have been due for a slot later in the day. While our delivery partner will have aimed to deliver on the date requested, and while issues on the part of our delivery partners are thankfully very rare, delays can and do happen on occasion. We do appreciate the inconvenience caused and have requested that the Dispatch team contact you ASAP following the bank holiday weekend to make further arrangements. “Easy to order only problem was the delivery date did specify which date but they then changed it to week before easily sorted when rang up back to the original date although part of the order was delivered the day before it should have been and was left on the drive whilst everyone was out at work so perhaps the courier’s they use need addressing. Apart from that no problems at all.”

Hi Donna, Thank you for your review. We are sorry for any confusion regarding delivery. Truth told, every indication on the order suggests that this was placed via the website with a date of 15/3/24 requested on the customer side; we can see that our Dispatch team was contacted and that we were able to assist in rearranging this. This said, we are sorry to hear of the split delivery. As you may be aware, we work with a number of different delivery partners (if, for example, a stove has been ordered with a liner kit to be fulfilled from a different supplier). While they aim to meet expectations for delivery as much as is possible, the couriers do sometimes find it necessary to make alternative arrangements. We do appreciate the opportunity to feed back to the suppliers and to try and ensure the continued high level of service that we strive towards. “The company delivered the fire as they said. No problems. The fire I ordered is very good. It has two heat settings. Even on 2k it has a quiet purr. The fire itself looks very smart. The feet are narrow and mark the lino so I have put a slab underneath.”
