“Read the reviews on Trust Pilot about this company before booking. It gives the truth. I should have noted the majority of reviews on this website are over a year old. Funny how they're all positive on this site. We booked minibuses for County before and have not had any issues. BUT having booked a 17 seater minibus 3 months in advance. We also informed then at the time of booking the purpose of the trip ie carrying passengers U18. Two days before our trip we were told their insurance company would NOT insure us for carrying passengers U18. We managed to get insurance from another provider. With one day to go, we were then informed that the vehicle we had hired was stuck Scotland and would NOT be available and there were no other suitable vehicles available. This left us with no contingency plan for moving groups of U18s around. Be warned this company may pull the vehicle from under your feet at the last minute and cannot be relied upon. Good luck”

“Was phoned to chase me about return time (16 :20) was returned at 16:19 i have hired from county for over 10 years with around 10/20 hires per year and neverbeen chased for return flexibility is the key if you want to retain customers thanks”

“Booked a VW 1.6L caddy for a same day return to London, upon arrival to pick it up the caddy was no longer avail. Had to take a bigger van.. I got this at the same hire cost but this cost more in fuel and more on the toll road to guarantee I made it there and back within shop hours. (I didn’t want to leave the hire van parked on the street over night for the risk of damage) A phone call or email from the Stockport office would of been useful prior to picking up. Giving me time to rent elsewhere.”

We're sorry your booked van wasn't available upon collection. Unlike other rental companies we don't operate an overbooking policy, but very occasionally a vehicle cannot be released for rental - for example if a previous customer is late bringing one back. “Excellent service from Dave and his team. So easy, spare number plate in HiLux and cheaper than i expected.. vehicle was well presented and the demonstration meant it was easy to drive. Would definitely use County again.”
