A very disappointing break. We selected this hotel as it was advertised as a SPA hotel. On arrival we were given a room in a separate building, on the third floor and there are no lifts. On entering the room it was to hot to stay in there and there was no AC or fans. We went to the SPA and was told that all treatments were fully booked for the week. We went to reception to complain and were told that they are not a SPA hotel and only have two treatment rooms and one therapist? They did upgrade us to a better room in the main building that had AC, the only problem was that the golfers staying at the hotel clearly enjoyed late night drinking and constantly slammed their room doors late into the night. The first night the meal in the restaurant was very good but the second night it was a disaster, the order got mixed up and our side orders were forgotten. My steak was inedible and when we complained the waitress was clearly shocked as she said it should be good as the Head Chef is cooking tonight? The poor food appeared to be linked to a very busy restaurant and staff were clearly struggling. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

Easy to book but the hotel was given the wrong room specifications which took significant time to readdress.

Thank you for your review. We have spoken to the hotel, and they have advised that the system booked a Classic room, rather than an Executive Twin, which you booked online. The reception apparently sorted this for you in a timely fashion and you were then allocated an Executive Twin. Sorry for the inconvenience at check-in. Kind regards, Cotswold Hotel Breaks

Hi, We stayed one - night the room was ok although it backed onto the car park, the bathroom was a bit disappointing, was also disappointed with the dinner menu, also the cooked breakfast was very poor as was the service, we booked on a dinner bed & breakfast deal . One thing we were told all deserts are home made ? 5/6 of them was this true ? in all disappointing.

Before I booked this stay I called Cotswold Breaks directly as I was concerned to if I was not able to make this booking date owing to a family member being very I’ll. The companies representatives was very helpful and reassuring to me concerning transfer of date or credit back of booking cost less £35 handling fee.

Zero empathy and zero help. Absolutely rubbish attitude and customer service. Hotel sent auto-cancellation email 3 days before date of stay and I thought this was for the room but hotel say this is for the restaurant only. Have checked the email since and nowhere does it state this is from the restaurant and just says the hotel name which is Hatton Court in Cotswolds. Despite pointing out that the email does not say it's from the restaurant, the hotel will do nothing and refer me to Cotswold. Yes you've guessed it Cotswold say they paid the hotel so they will not help and it's down to the hotel. Too late for me but take care when booking with Cotswold.

Due to a family bereavement, we were unable to take up our original reservation at our chosen hotel. Thankfully, we were able to simply use the link provided in the original confirmation email to amend to a date later in the year, subject to a nominal payment to reflect the increased cost of the room for the later date. The process was easy and the amendment was confirmed within moments. I just wish other hospitality providers could offer such ease of managing unexpected events encountered by their customers.
