Purchased a pair of boots and payment taken . Within 24 hours received an e mail telling me that item was ' out of stock ' and I would be refunded . Waiting for the refund which hopefully will come through promptly . Cannot see in this day with a proper IT system that an order can be accepted , payment taken and then be told item ' out of stock ' . Just very frustrating .

I have received an order that belongs to someone else and have not yet received a reply to my email. I have received a pair of silver shoes instead of navy boots

Unfortunately my experience has not been good with Cordners of Portadown . I bought shoes yesterday and when I got home I realised I had already bought the same make and style of shoe . I immediately tried phoning the shop to explain but when the call was answered I could hear ladies voices but I wasn’t spoken to and the receiver was put down .I phoned back 5 times and no one answered.I drove to the shop this morning and was directed to a manageress who I can only describe as having the personality of a slug.I was told that they do not give refunds and would be given a credit note. This credit note cannot be used against future sales items but yesterday my money could be . I questioned their policy and was handed a leaflet from beside the till which had nothing to do with the issue,but would lead me to believe that the shop is experienced in this type of complaint.When I explained to the manageress that the leaflet was irrelevant to my issue she pretended not to be able to read it because she had no glasses .I know she can write because she wrote her name on the leaflet but I’m not sure if she can read .Because of my experience I will not shop in any of Cordners stores in the future. I still haven’t received my shoes

My wife bought shoes as a gift for someone. From the portadown shop. The assistant told her she could bring them back if they weren't suitable (my wife took that as eligible for a refund). I brought them back and was refused a refund. I was FORCED to take a credit note AND TO ADD MORE INSULT TO A CUSTOMER, it stated on the credit note "CANNOT BE USED AGAINST SALE ITEM'S "????? I am currently checking with trading standards as I don't think this is legal practice. But, we won't ever be using this shop again.

Bought navy dye to dye a new bag navy and the bag turned brown Terrible product , would never use it again Ruined a new Michael kors bag, not through lack of experience as I have dyed bags before but used angelos dye , not this poor product 0/5

Poor delivery from Royal Mail paid for next day delivery ordered on Monday received the item on Saturday afternoon. In all fairness you did refund me the difference in postage but that wasn’t enough when you have your five year old daughter asking where her new school shoes are every day.

Had to return sandals As they were to big. As having paid for delivery thought it would be free returns, but no. So niall I paid £9 to try a pair of shoes on. I did challenge Cordners to no avail. Needl6 to say I will not be ordering from them again.

Absolutely awful customer service. I ordered a pair of trainers and was sent an ex display pair - one of the shoes was very clearly worn and had was filthy with makeup. I messaged Cordners minutes after taking delivery of my order and 2 weeks later, I am still waiting on a reply. I returned the shoes in store myself and the girl at the till had obviously read my message as before she had even asked why I was in, she said 'they are out of stock'. I have since received a refund and purchased the same shoes - a brand new pair - elsewhere. Absolutely shocking service.

I bought a pair of shoes on the Thursday and unfortunately had to return them as they hurt my bunion . I returned them on the Saturday to the shop in Newtownards and was told I could only get a credit note which I feel is wrong. So I would advise the staff when selling the shoes to state on return a credit note only will be issued and not your money back. Not happy would not buy there again.

Hi Roberta, thank you for your in-store purchase at Cordners and I'm sorry to hear you had an unsatisfactory shopping experience with us. We like most independent retailers only offer an exchange or credit note for any returns within 14 days of purchase and this is clearly documented at the till where you paid for your shoes and on the bottom of your receipt.
