“It’s not a fixed fee service that they advertise and there will be hidden costs, going against the statement on their main page. I used this website to find a solicitor for remortgage and transfer of equity. On completion I was overcharged by £500 plus and after complaining I got it down to just below £250. However still ended up paying more than I expected for fees nobody told me about and fees I got charged more than quoted. Will not be using this site again”

“Conveyancing Calculator is fine as a company if it stipulates on their website that it is for residential conveyancing. I was able to put my details in but I was selling a commercial property and I needed quotes for that. The quotes I received were for a residential leasehold property and it was frustrating because when I wanted to instruct them to go ahead there was the glitch. These law firms would then say they don't do commercial conveyancing which would have been nice to know from the beginning.”
