“Overall outcome was quite positive. So the price for insurance. However search engine didn't pick up my motorcycle ( 2008 Suzuki offered in UK market ).”
“The less well known companies who usually give the lower premiums cut corners so beware of those. Confused.com make no attempt to police those and accept no responsibility for any of their ''mistakes''. Also the price given by confused.com is almost always much less than the actual premium when you complete all the details the insurance company asks for.
Always check your policy as inevitably it will contain mistakes that lower the premium but are likely to invalidate your insurance. In one case the company would not insure me when I asked them to correct the details!”
“To be honest not sure if it was confused.com mistake or Hastings Direct issue. However, I got the quotes but when I picked the Hasting Direct one, used the confused link, I was not able to purchase the insurance, bike insurance, online as suggested. What was worst though was the fact that I rang Hastings Direct to be told that the quote is not valid and that I am not able to purchase that product. The call centre operative tried to say something about the compare websites but the result was that I spent time getting the quote, it seemed to be not accurate and what was the strangest part of it was the fact that the Hasting Direct call operative was unable to tweak it to come maybe with new amount payable but at least with something. It was total waste of time.
Also, interesting bit, I found second best quote on different comparison websites so the confused.com which I always liked seems to have only limited number of insurance brokers/companies on offer.”
“I'm definitely confused as I found a quote, contacted the company who casually added more to my policy and said it's because they think I'm witholding information which I'm clearly not. Confused.com”
“I went with Bennett's insurance, and some of their questions were not asked by confused, e.g.: have you owned a motorcycle for the last 12 months. When I want back on Bennet's and checked all the details I found that question had been set to no. When I changed it to yes, the premium was slightly cheaper, and the compulsory excess was halved from £400 to £200.”
“Excess is far too high because if you had a bump you would probably pay it yourself because of the excess not good to be insured and toot the bill yourself”
