I went away for the weekend only to come back and find that I was -£28.98 . I had only topped up with £25 on Tuesday of that week. Spoke to Click service who were totally unhelpful. They have put their hand in my pocket and stolen the best part of £50.

I have been with click energy for a long time and was told they one of their advisors that I needed to cut my monthly direct debit down as I was paying too much so the electric was just going to be going up in price I advised him that I had received a letter of but after I said to leave the money the way it is or increase it he actually got it down below what was covering my bill then out of the blue they sent me a bill which was well over and above what I was estimated for. So I got in touch with them I spoke to one of the managers and was told that this would be investigated and someone more senior would come back to me but this never happened so I tried the phone a couple of times and with covid-19 you were put in the queue I wait it then I get cut off so I finally get through today after receiving another bill of over £200 on top of my direct debits so I get through to another manager today or who I was told was a manager and he had said basically pay an extra £20 per month to pay off what's owed now if they had enough cut it down and left it as it is he was able to tell me that I would still be in credit instead of in negative equity. I certainly would not recommend this company to anyone their customer services is diabolical now where at the very start when they come in here they were very very good very well trained towards customer services and advising people correctly but because this advisor who no longer works for the company and was sacked because of his is lack of knowledge it has left me and quite a few other customers out of pocket.

Awful. My electric bill as literally doubled. Changing provider at the end of the month. They should be wearing masks and striped jumpers

Click used to be the better, cheapest option, but now with price hikes are definitely not. I've been with Click for some years, going to leave now. To 'happy customer' below saying people are unjustly complaining. What you are advocating is for us to drag others into an expensive company and cost them extra when there's better options on the market. Bit selfish imho, but agreed, it would help mitigate the price hikes....OR you could just switch to a cheaper company and recommend that to folks and help them save more money too.

I see there's a few negative responses as you cant please everybody all the time. There is always some moaners in every review. Perhaps some people complain when its not about the company and their own use of the system. In terms of customer service I find it excellent. Good web page. easy to understand. Tell your friends and get a £20 sign up fee for each customer. If you told a friend about a good restaurant the owner wouldn't pay you for a referral. Only 5 referrals and you've saved £100 which will reduce your bill every month. the 11.14 daily charge = £3.50per month is counteracted in the £15 discount on joining and then referrals will make your electricity cheaper again. The charity is a suggested donation. click on zero if you don't want to donate. Its not compulsory. Give this company a chance and as someone said get off your bum and use your head.

Awful! Says you're meant to save money, it's been costing me more money than any other electric company I've been with and with 2 children to provide for its leaving me with nothing because my meter is eating my money, awful electric company would not recommend them to anyone

I rang about your inability to top up my pay as you go card..I rang your 0800 number and was caller number 11...after a while I was caller number 1 for about 20 mins..disgusted 🙄

Only one month into my new account with Click Energy but so far so good. The switch from SSE was as simple as a 5 minute chat with a sales rep in my living room - he was very friendly and very efficient. Website is a very clear and user friendly. Much more transparency than SSE which is great. Great job Click Energy people. Keep it up.

Just switched from previous supplier when a notification arrives telling me of a price increase. Now more expensive than my previous supplier. Very, very sneaky so will be changing back today. Not happy at all.

Only signed up at the end of July! Received a letter stating a standing charge was to be introduced at 11.14p a day! Very sneaky. Shouldn’t have bothered switching at all. ☹️

Have only just joined this company and what a big mistake it has been. Tell you anything to get you on board . Going to change as soon as possible. Has cost me a fortune. Stay clear!!

They were one of the best value companies for a few years until recently when they have lost their way. I received an email from them regarding price increases planned for October. They have sneaked in an additional standing charge on top of the standard tariff increase. Now they expect you to pay £40+ a year for literally nothing at all on top of electric that you use which also increased in price. Another thing I disliked is the default charity £1 amount pre-selected when buying top-ups online. Donating to an external charity should always default to £0 and if people want to change that it's up to them. It's annoying to have wasted money by overlooking a default setting that was very presumptuous of them in the first place. Buying electric should not result in consumers making accidental charity donations when all they wanted was electric.
