Christopher Ward. The Twelve Mike France - I’m reaching out to You, because You are perhaps the only one who can save Christopher Ward. I’m guessing Christopher, in 2015, left the Company in good spirits on a quest to do something different, confident in your ability to look after and develop Christopher Ward. For a mail order manufacturer, it goes without saying that The 2 paramount aspects are Quality Control and Customer Service. It’s fairly apparent that these are the 2 inadequacies you have, and will result in CW’s ultimate contraction and beyond. I’m confident you have much experience and knowledge in commerce. I am offering you end point, on the ground experience from a consumer. I now mix with folk that are at that stage where they have the resources to invest in 2 or 5 or 20 watches. The last thing they want is to get involved in a headache. And that is what Christopher Ward is now offering - products that don’t get the ‘Gordon Ramsay’ QC promised, and when a product fails, a hit and miss Customer Service experience that ranges through excellent occasionally, to incompetent often, to incommunicado. On that last point, one of the notable things you have done as CEO is to state you are available for Customers to talk to. This buys cudos for a while. However, when a customer experiences bad QC, backed up by worse CS, they might want to talk to You. If you are incommunicado, that goes to core values, and it doesn’t look good.

Poor QC and CS I ordered a CW Twelve (luxury watch), which was faulty on arrival. I contacted CS both through their website (as advised) and by email. It took 5 days to get a reply, which was really not very helpful. Now I have to: - jump through hoops, complete forms and put lots of details in to arrange a return, - find a printer, - visit a DHL drop-off point to send the parcel back, - wait for the faulty watch to be assessed, - wait for a refund, - place a new order for a new watch, - wait for it to be delivered and hope it works this time. That's a rubbish customer experience for a luxury product. Comments about the quality of this service were simply ignored by the CS agent, as was a question about how long it would take for them to process the returned watch. CW make some nice watches, this was supposed to be my second, but I won't buy from them again unless their QC and CS improve drastically.

I've purchased seven watches from Christopher Ward over the last 18 months and have been very happy with the service I've received up until now. I paid for a watch in December 2022 with the initial delivery date of March/April 2023. This date passed and after several messages was given a new date of May/June. This deadline was also missed. More messages from myself revealed a new deadline of July/August. This week after messaging for another update I was informed that production were struggling and to be patient (or words to that effect) I'm sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous and not the way to treat customers. I shouldn't have to chase up information. I've cancelled my order and requested an email from Mike France (the boss) I've certainly purchased my last ever Christopher Ward watch. Terrible customer service from a company i used to hold in high regard.

I now own four Christopher Ward watches and I'm delighted with them all. My second purchased was delayed three times but I was kept informed at all times. When the watch arrived I found an extra free tide strap enclosed by way of an apology. Excellent quality watches with very good customer care.

Just received my Sealander Automatic and I’m not disappointed. At this cost the watch is a huge bargain. The fit and finish nearly rivals my Rolex Sub at a tenth of the cost. I congratulate Christopher Ward on their achievement and am certain that I’ll be purchasing another in the not so distant future.

The watch is beautiful, however the delivery by DHL awful. I paid $1000 for a watch that was left in my driveway overnight. The driver should have put the package on my porch! FEDEX, UPS and USPS has no problem putting packages on the porch. Here in NY this package could have easily been under 6 inches of snow. Time to cut ties with DHL. Because of them I will never order from Christopher Ward again !!!!

I bought a Christopher Ward watch for my husband’s birthday end of December 2021. This is the second Christopher Ward watch that I am buying him and both times I had a difficult time with customs in the US. I was also not aware that I had to pay an extra $200 to release the watch from US customs for them to deliver it to me. And, I had to provide the watch specs to them, which the company did provide to me once I emailed and spoke to customer service. I would not want to go through this trouble again to buy a watch for my husband and no longer will be buying watches from Christopher Ward, even though my husband loves this watch company. If customers in the US are buying these watches, I think it would be nice to know that an extra charge of $100-$200 will be added once it reaches customs in this country.

One of the worst purchases I have ever made. I bought a C1000 on the basis it was well made however that couldn't be further from the truth. It has been back for repair three times now, each time taking a huge amount of time to get done, and on the most recent one they have had the temerity to try and charge me £250 for a repair to a badly made watch. Avoid Christopher Ward at all costs as their products are not what they promise and their service does not make up for this.

Worst of British! Why buy a watch from a company that describes its components as known by the industry to be "poor". And in my case unusable. The Christopher Ward Abyss GMT "uses black lume so this is poor across the industry". This is a direct quote from Chistopher Ward after sales! I love dive watches and own a number of them (cwc, nite, elliot brown etc) so was excited to get the new Christopher Ward Abyss GMT. It sells itself as a usable professional dive watch and its not. It's nothing more than a day time only dress watch. There is no point having a watch that can go 60atm with no way to view it. And come sun down you can not see the face as they are knowingly using an inferior component. And in my watches case it doesn't work at all. Waste of hard earned money.

Their watches do look nice. Unfortunately, their service warranty is essentially useless. I owned one of their C60 quartz watches for about two years. After it stopped working, I walked it into a jewelry store to replace the battery. They said the problem was not the battery, so I mailed it back to the company to fix it. They said the warranty was voided because a third party had opened the case. This is not logical, since anyone owning a quartz watch is going to replace the battery when the watch stops, which means doing what I did. They wanted to charge me about $120 for the repair, so I told them to throw away the watch. I will buy from a more reputable company in the future.

Finally, I can be like my idol, Michael Dapaah. This watch tells the time to the exact rhythm of his legendary lyrics, i finally believe I can comprehend the in depth complex molecular structure of the Mathematics used to read the time off of my circular time machine.

Christopher Ward = Waste of money. I received the waste and it was heavy and very uncomfortable to wear.

If you're considering buying from Christopher Ward, please first consider how they've treated a loyal customer. One of my four(!) CW watches developed a fault. I assumed their much vaunted 60/60 returns process would be a well-oiled machine. In reality, it has exposed me to the most inept customer service I've ever encountered. Issue 1: They sent me a returns envelope with an invalid postage label. This caused embarrassment at the post office when they (not unreasonably) suspected I was attempting to re-use a previous label (it was dated from 2013). Issue 2: On being told of this issue, CW sent another envelope with the assurance that the issue wouldn't be repeated. Exactly the same thing happened; the label was not recognised by the post office. Issue 3: I mailed CW to inform them they had repeated the error, and explained that I'd covered the cost of the shipping this time (I included an image of the receipt). The eventual response (after chasing) acknowledged the issue, but suggested that I pay for the postage (demonstrating they had read one sentence of my email, and ignored the very next sentence). Issue 4: After much further chasing, I was called by a customer services agent who said they'd process a payment to my credit card for the postage, and that it would be with me in 3-5 working days. 13 working days later, no payment had been made. Issue 5: More chasing later, another call gave an internally inconsistent reason for the failure of the payment. I will stop short of accusing them of dishonesty, but the explanation bordered on the ludicrous. Issue 6: I gave my bank account details, and was promised the payment would be made the same day, as an immediate transfer, and that I would receive an email confirmation. Neither was true. Issue 7: Several days later, I still don't have the refund, and there's been no explanation as to why. So if you want to buy from Christopher Ward, do so in the hope that your watch never develops a fault. If it does, be prepared to endure quite staggering levels of ineptitude. Several CW staff members have been involved. This is not the failure of one individual; it's systemic incompetence.

Terrible terrible, almost non-existent customer service. I sent my watch in for repair, the works took months and the broken strap was not replaced as requested. Also the immaculate original box was badly damaged by them. Now they wont even respond to my emails. Avoid like the plague, they dont care for customers and decent watches need ongoing support from the manufacturer.

Sent off my watch for a service. It has taken three months and I still do not have t back. I was not informed how long it would take. I would not have sent it otherwise. Too long. Customer service is not what I would call customer service no apology, always on the defensive, they are right I am wrong even though I am a customer. There is NO customer service at Christopher Ward.

I cannot comment on CW products as I have not seen one yet, and the chances of me buying one have plummeted due to the naff logo - supposed to represent the flags of Switzerland and England . I appreciate its only my view , and they can put anything they like on their watches . Surely when selling anything - the best policy would be to broaden your product appeal not narrow it ?
