£700 earrings lasted only 7 months before falling apart. We are very disappointed in the earrings I bought for my wife’s birthday. After just 7 months of very light use, they fell apart. By pure luck alone we managed to find the missing piece of the earring so that a repair would be possible. We contacted our local jeweller who said the design was very poor and they could see why they didn’t last. We then contacted Chisolm Hunter who asked us to return the broken earring for repair but, given the design was the main problem, there was little point repairing it to the same standard as it was originally designed to. We also had no confidence that the other earring would not break at the same weak point and we may not be lucky enough to find the missing piece if this happened. Instead, we paid our local jeweller £75 to improve on the design with a high quality repair so my wife could wear them with confidence that they wouldn’t fall apart again. Poor design and quality from Chisolm Hunter. This will be our last purchase from them as if they can’t make £700 earrings last more than 7 months there is something very wrong.

I put my watch in for a service in December 2022 it is now approaching May 2023 and despite numerous calls and emails to the shop, customer services and online complaints still no sign of my watch. Latest excuse is they are waiting on a seal. Seriously 5 months. I would give a zero for a review if it were possible. Shocking service

Put my watch into Chisholm Hunter Stirling for a service on the 11th of December was advised 10-12 weeks due to it being the festive period. It is now the 18th of April and still no sign of my watch being returned.

Always my go to jeweller but … two online purchases later , both of which were received damaged, faulty and not as described online. Despite customer services v good support it’s simply unacceptable that this happened in first instance.

My partner who has Parkinsons bought an expensive watch from the Silverburn store, only 3 weeks ago. The watch kept stopping & then starting again. So it obviously had a fault. So she asked me to go with her to the store, to take it back. She didn't want it repaired but was planning on getting a refund or to swap it but they said they would do neither & they had to prove the watch had a fault & what the fault was. Even although by law If It Is under 30 days, they have to offer you a full refund. The woman served us was called, (Lauren), possibly the manager, told us it was company policy. Which basically goes against the consumer act, wherby if you return faulty goods back in 30 days, you should get a oolong refund if you choose. Which was pug in place to protect customers from this. Great company when buying something from them. Absolutely terrible company if the product developes a fault or has one. As they'll do anything to keep your money.

On Sunday I ordered a Casio GBD-H2000 watch. This watch was in stock and available for immediate dispatch, which I was quite pleased by, as this item is a new watch from Casio, and not supposed to be released until 10/3/23. everything went ok until this morning until i was contacted by Chisholm Hunter to say they had made a mistake and the fact that the watch was in stock was a lie,not that they phrased it like that, but thats essentially what it was. I phoned Chisholm Hunter to find out what was going on, and apparently Casio have told them to not release any stocks of this watch until MAY 2023, which is odd as it's official release date is March 10th this year. I also asked them how long it takes to get my money back, and was told it might take about a week..... They can take the money before I have even got my order,but it takes them a week to refund me for their ballsup, something slightly unfair going on here don't you think.. Not impressed Chisholm Hunter, sort it out, how about giving me my money back TODAY.

I bought an engagement ring which needed resizing. Visited a store to be told it couldn’t be resized though they would order a replacement, which would take up to 12 weeks. After 6 weeks I called the store to check all was OK and was told they had sourced the replacement ring with the manufacturer and it was on track for the due date. Two weeks later I was emailed to say the ring was discontinued and the only way the manufacturer would be able to fulfill would be to pay an additional £800 or opt for a refund. I received a further email to say they had a “similar” ring in stock though this was a different design and lower grade metal. To add insult they said “would you consider just another stone?” - the amethyst halo was a specific request! Poor service and unprofessional communication. I am awaiting the refund

Ordered a tag watch online in November for my wife's Christmas gift. It stated in stock when I placed order, received email stating 8 week delivery. As you can imagine my frustration. My wife phoned various times regarding updates on delivery and was told in January that could be another 8 weeks then the day after I was able to order it from chisolm hunter. After calling back up was told oh I'll look into it then suddenly receive an email stating will be delivered next day.

I ordered a watch. Didn’t hear anything for a week. Chased, nothing, a few days later chased again, nothing. 2 weeks later I phoned them this time. Asked if I’m going to receive this watch. Only to be told they don’t have one! Very dodgy. They’ve charged my credit card which is due for payment now. Never used this company before and sure won’t again in the future. I now need to call my credit card company to get it reversed/charged back.

Absolutely scunnered with Chisholm Hunters customer service. Both in store and head office. My partner bought a ring on the 21st Dec. Was not told he could not return said ring. An engagement ring which he told the sales assistant was a surprise. I went into the shop in Argyle arcade in Glasgow to be belittled by a member of staff asking if my fiance had got his jumper for Christmas in a fire sale! She said why you bringing it back. I explained to her that I couldn't wear the metal that was in the ring ( fiance not aware) she said that's a bit sad that your doing that, then I proceeded to explain again the reasons to which she said that was a bit embarrassing! I called the fort and the manager said she could exchange it I explained the situation again and also said I was just looking for a refund after the way I had been spoke to and the manager said that they havr never ever refunded. I asked to escalate it and she told me that her area manager was on a day off and she didn't want to bother him and she would give me customer service number. I called customer service and spoke to Rachel who was very understanding and said she would speak to someone and get back to me at quater to the hour. She never got back to me. I called back 4 times to be told she wasn't at her desk. Eventually someone said Rachel said the regional manager will call you tomorrow morning. I still have not received that call. I have also contacted customer services this afternoon and the lady told me she would call me back in 2 mins, I'm still waiting. I work in customer service and I will never ever use this company again.

Order placed 03/12, with delivery by Royal Mail Standard Delivery. Mon 5th - confirmation of dispatch Following messages received from DPD (not Royal Mail) Tues 6th - “sorry CHLTD parcel delayed due to unexpected issue. Now due Wed 7th. Wed 7th - “sorry CHLTD parcel delayed due to unexpected issue. Now due Thur 8th. Thursday 8th - We were in all day and doorbell never rang, but driver says he missed us and will be back on Fri 9th. Fri 9th - “sorry CHLTD parcel delayed in transit. Now due Sat 10th. Sat 10th - Now advised that due to a problem, delivery will now be Mon 12th. How do CH expect me to respond when I still haven’t received my order??? Mon 12th - Advised that delivery would be between 2-3pm. Delivered at 2.50pm. Driver didn't ring doorbell, just knocked on door (which can't be heard, hence the doorbell!!). Fortunately, we had seen him arrive. He said sorry he'd missed us on Thursday, but he'd knocked several times. I said we had been in all day and what about ringing the doorbell to which he replied "Oh yeah I rang that too." Delivery now completed, but I am very disappointed and seriously underwhelmed by the entire ChisholmHunter process.

Extremely poor service , my order never turned up and they tried to take away my consumer rights . They tried to blame the Courier and wanted me to take it up with them . Saying that its out of their control . The law says that the Contract of sale is in fact with the buyer and retailer . The retailer is responsible for honoring Contract of Sale . Terrible and unprofessional . Im waiting for a refund and they say 7 days . Trying to get out their legal responsibility is shady . Buyer beware .

The watch I ordered was noted as ex Display But had a significant scratch on the bezel It was so visible I cannot imagine it was not seen prior to sending to me

Went to get my wife’s engagement ring sized, told it couldn’t be which we naively accepted. Ended up getting the diamonds from the original ring put into a new ring. We find out c2 years later that the original ring could have been sized, which Chisholm Hunter have now agreed, along with two independent jewellers. They won’t provide any compensation despite the fact they conned us into buying a new ring by lying and saying the original ring couldn’t be sized. To make matters worse a stone has now fell out of the new ring as it has been poorly designed and made. I note we aren’t the only customer to suffer from this. Shock horror Chisholm Hunter state we have damaged the ring. The CEO claimed he would personally investigate and reply. Never had one response from him. This company has no idea what good customer service is but are top drawer at lying and conning customers and then conveniently claiming they didn’t say what they did. Stay well clear.

I received the wrong watch model that I ordered. The watch came dirty - in greasy fingerprints. Technical support wrote to me that this is the same watch that I ordered. But this is a lie. I checked the dial with a caliper. Considering the premium segment of the goods in your store, I am shocked by the service. And I had to wait a long time for express delivery by first class. BR Anna
