“My company had been a client of Cheyettes for over five years, until recently. During our time with them, we found them to be competent with regard to their accounting services. However, our interactions with one of their employees, who we had dealt with in the past, were markedly negative for us. We felt that this employee was disrespectful, combative and abrasive. This culminated in us raising the issue with the company after the employee personally insulted a member of our company in a public setting, and we found Cheyettes initial response to be dismissive and disappointing. There was no outlining of the complaints process or who the designated complaints official at Cheyettes was, which you would expect for a regulated firm. Upon further requesting the matter to be recognized as a formal complaint, we received a response from the owner that we found to be condescending and slightly threatening – once again, no details of a formal complaints process were provided.
Ultimately, I cannot in good conscience recommend Cheyettes to anyone looking for the high standard of professionalism and decorum that one would expect of a company and its employees, and I would suggest that others look elsewhere.”
