“Having had a few cutting mats for dressmaking over the years, I will only now use Rhino Mats. These are far superior than other cheaper ones. The rhino mat IS self healing, unlike others that I’ve tried.”

“Over the moon with my cutting mat. After much deliberation whilst organising my cutting station, I decided on the plain heavy-duty cutting mat. I was originally going to opt for the mats with a grid but I requested a sample from the company (as per image) and that enabled me to try out each one with my rotary blade. I decided on this one and I am so glade that I did. It is robust, thick and a perfect finish to my home made cutting station. I can't recommend not only this mat but the company too - fabulous customer service and very quick delivery. Perfect!”

“I wanted a cutting mat to help with cutting for sewing and quilting after being to lucky to have been bought a new sewing machine for a big birthday :-) Rhino were very helpful in sending a sample pack for the various types of cutting boards with a hand-signed note (a small thing that makes a difference). They were also very responsive answering questions. I'll admit that when we added up the cost with the relatively expensive delivery, we were in two minds as to whether to get this one or another make. One factor which Rhino helped with was considering whether you're getting a 5 layer mat like the Rhino ones. Many of the cheaper ones are 3 layer. We still could have bought a bit cheaper, but the pre-sale experience with Rhino swung it as we had some confidence that if we had problems, they would want to help. I plumped for an A1 mat in the end. I was lucky that It turns out that it's a perfect fit across my table (see video). It arrived quickly. It was well-packed, but there was a slight bend (where there was a natural bend in the cardboard used). Fortunately this settled quite quickly after placing it on my table. So far I've used it on a few bits and pieces and it's proving very useful. I find the measured lines much more useful than I thought. In combination with a Janome quilting ruler and a roller cutter, it's so much easier to cut a number of pieces for a pattern. I've also found it useful as a surface when pinning things out although I don't know if that's recommended (it doesn't seem to be doing any harm).”

“The mat is amazing and a game changer! I had been bought a cutting mat previously and thought one mat was the same as the next. How wrong was I. Previously my rotary blade would cut ok for three or four cuts only. I thought the rotary cutters were rubbish. My husband suggested that my mat was the problem and not the many rotary cutters that I had bought. I bought a rhino mat. Now my rotary cutter cuts like a dream every time.”
