Very dissapointed to have received two seperate orders for the same trainers which were both faulty. Then to receive a telephone call today telling me they have refunded me for three pairs instead of two and asking for me to pay them back £95 which they did not refund.Terrible customer service terrible quality of shoes.

Hello Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear the experience you have received. Unfortunately, it was explained to us by the accounts team that we have refunded you more that the value of the order, this was presumed that a double refund had been issued on one of the returns. When in fact we had price matched the product for you and refunded you the £20 difference compared to the sale price, then when you returned your trainers the £20 from the price match was also refund in error. The shoes we purchased were for a 4 year old BOY. It is obvious that the WOKE and LBGTQ culture in this country is supported by Charles Clinkard and their products. Supplying BOYS shoes with sparkly insets and sparkly laces is an affront to their childhood and only reinforces the stupidity that is happening in this country. Sensible people should boycott these companies.

Item took 9days to arrive with conflicting tracking details from royal mail and mixed explanations from customer service, item itself was eventually delivered in good condition, unfortunately will not be shopping at Clinkards again unless they change their carrier.

We also use DPD as a courier and customers can call/email us if they have a preferred courier between Royal Mail and DPD to deliver the order with. Shoes were in poor condition so returned and still had to pay almost £7 postage. Disgraceful

You can return your order to any of our stores for free. You can purchase a collect plus label from our website for £4.50 or you can also use Royal Mail, second class tracked service is a very popular option and this can start from as little as £3.30. Firstly my order consisted of a bag which was incorrectly priced plus had a glue mark on it. More worrying was being sent completely the wrong pair of shoes in a correctly relabelled box. Contacted Charles Clinkard who promptly altered incorrect pricing and issued free return authorisation. Only for the bag to arrrive on its own with no shoes, so another phone call. Shoes duly arrived a few days later and were incorrect style again as before. The company is now searching for the correct shoes but I am not holding my breath. Very poor experience adding to the stress of preparing for our son's wedding.

Felt that boots I sent for had previously been worn and packaging was not new. In addition, one of the studs holding the laces popped off when I tried on the boots - straight out of the box.

My son was measured for his shoes on wearing them for 1 day he has blisters on both feet and now refuses to wear them

Thank you for your review. We do offer up to 365 days to return shoes that are unworn outside. This should alow you to try shoes on at home and wear them in. Sometimes when you get new shoes, they can rub and it is always best to have worn them for a time at home first. If you feel that the shoes have been incorrectly fitted, you can go back into store with your son and ask them to take a look. I hope that this information is of help. Cost me 12 GBP to return shoes that were too small. Returns should be free! I will not be shopping with Charles Clinkard again.

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge, but ask customers to cover the cost of returns. You can choose a premium next day signed for delivery as you seem to have done here, or you can choose a second class service for around £3.00 which may take a day longer and will still be processed within 3 days once it arrives. You can also find a link on our website for £4.49 with CollectPlus which covers up to 10 kilo, or choose any courier of your own choice. Alterntively you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store where they will process the refund for you. This may help for future reference. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

I ordered a pair of boots online. They were very nice boots but unfortunately, the box I received contained one size 5 boot and one size 6 boot. I obviously had to take them back.

Twice the shoes have arrived worn. Over two weeks since I ordered and still not resolved. Girl I’m dealing with in customer service is lovely and helpful but response is slow so I think the team may be under resourced.

I heard of you in a top UK Saturday newspaper- The Daily Telegraph. You sound like a UK company- there is no information that you are based in Singapore! There was a problem with delivery- a month later the boots still had not arrived. There was no communication from the company and it took a long time to get a response from emails. I am not impressed and want to contact the newspapaper not to recommend you. Nice products but this was a mistake. This has been a stressful experience not to be repeated.

Thank you for your review. We cover the cost of delivery to customers but do ask if they can cover the cost of returns or take back to a Charles Clinkard store. You can choose the Company or service that you use, an overnight, signed for service would be expensive but you can use a second class option which woud cost around £4 for a tracked service for an item of this size. There is also a link on our website to collect + which is £4.49 and coversup to 10 kilo in one package so would cover several pair of returns at the same time. This may help for future reference. Disappointed with the service of delivery of this product. Ordered to collect in store due to postal strikes. When we got there to collect was told the delivery hadn’t turned up for that day! Had to trail back 2 days later.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your order was delayed in reaching our store. Unfortunately the Royal Mail dispute has also affected other Couriers as they have had a much larger workload than usual and have struggled to cope with the volume of deliveries that they have had. We do send an email at dispatch to let you know that the order is on the way, but the store does call you to let you know once your order has arrived so we are sorry that you made a journey expecting it to be ready when in fact it was not yet there. Very disappointed in the fact that you sent out less than perfect boots which were for a Christmas Present. Why on earth would a company that prides itself on longevity and Customer Service allow anyone to send out less than perfect products? Had someone brought those to me in a shop I would have said no thank you they are damaged so why do you allow staff to post them out? I have had an email saying I am being refunded in full which I stated in a phone call I expected. Would make me think seriously about whether or not I would order from your company ever again in the future.

Waiting for a main Christmas gift that is stuck on a dpd van god knows where. No solution offered by customer service other than wait. Out of stock everywhere so one daughters Christmas is trashed

Ordered some boots to be delivered to Sheffield store. Received an email to say they were ready for collection in the Newcastle store. I Rang customer services they agreed that they would get them couriered to sheffield overnight. 2 days later received a call to say the boots were ready for collection in the Milton Keynes store. After 12 days I asked for a full refund!!!! Would I recommend NO.
