Only had unit a few weeks but a fault did appear on the unit. It was sorted within a few days. Customer service staff were really friendly and helpful, can take 15 -20 mins for calls to be answered, but maybe that’s just a sign of the times at the moment. Found Polar apps to be unusable but looks like the new BP Chargemaster app may be better

The installation was good tidy and efficient . The EVC charger fuse box in the house makes a louder than expected humming noise and is slow taking several hours to do a full charge when I thought it would be a lot quicker

I’ve had a lot of difficulty with my meter in west wales. I think the main problem is the people who handle the calls are not electricians and due to the complexity it would sometimes be better for my electrician to speak to yours such avoiding confusion and delay

The BP Chargemaster works well, it's a handy thing to have. Customer Service is appalling, no one calls back or answers emails. It took over a week to even get round to submitting an application! I nearly gave up and went to another supplier, I got one helpful person on the phone on my last attempt to sort things out.

The installation was fine and the unit works so far. The charhemaster app is not very accurate though on the history. Two instances now I have charged all night and all it shows is a few minutes and less than a £1 charged. Needs sorting as I need the history to work out my expenses for work/taxman.

Have yet to take delivery of the car that this will charge. But so far it hasn't had any problems. Will give a fuller review later

Too much form filling, but worse than this was inconsistent information between different staff. One staff member was quite confrontational when I was trying to clarify differing Information regarding photographic requirements of various features.

From the initial contact with the sales team I was a bit disappointed with their lack of knowledge of the product and back up services. The fitting engineer was very good. I initially started looking elsewhere but as thus was the preferred supplier of Mercedes I decided to stay with BP Chargemaster.

Unit is neat and well installed, but installation agent was not the best. Turned up early despite a defined slot being confirmed, immediately asked to use the toilet (in a global pandemic!), insisted on our car being moved off the drive so he didn't have to walk 10 paces to his van right outside our house for a few tools. Was happy when he left frankly.

Difficult to get hold of in arranging installation, and to get clarity on what we needed to do to our distribution unit. Installation itself was straight forward and the charger works well. Not impressed by’charge your car’, which I believe is run by Chargemaster. About half their chargers we tried to use in Scotland last week, had issues, and often customer service line unanswered.

In the end, I was very pleased with the installation and the service, largely through the intervention of an ‘ ambassador’ , but before that communication and personal service was very lacking. There is the potential of a good company here, but these issues need attention . The answer to the next questions are based on the pre- ambassador experience

Had a second charger fitted July 2020. With my first charger the team that arranged fitting were efficient and on the ball. 2 years later when I had a problem with the unit, it was replaced within days. This time was awful experience from an admin perspective. This is mainly due to very poor communication with regard to one admin person responding to email and their colleagues having to pick up their work. The fitter however was brilliant and did a great job. I've given an average review as I did think it fair to give a very low star rating because of one person. Thank you to the majority of people at chargemaster who do a brilliant job.

Customer service friendly but company inflexible in face of COVID - I lost the opportunity of full £500 discount as my instalment was booked for late March but not confirmed as it quickly followed lockdown. Charging unit satisfactory though had to reset within a few weeks due to red light warning - very easily rectified following company’s clear instructions.

Installation delayed when Hallmaster engineer called to fit and found inadequate power input and no double poll isolator. He told me Hallmaster should have completed a survey before instructing him. Installation delayed for a second time as my first Hallmaster point of contact had left the company and the photographs I had sent had not been retained. Installation finally went smoothly although I was left with a few heavy garden pots to replace. I needed help to do this. Neat job and sensibly sited . Items belo are not relevant

The process getting to instalaltion was very painful; the installation was very slick; the unit itself is very good; the App is one of the worst pieces of consumer-facing software I've ever had the misfortune to use.

We recognise the special situation in the pandemic - but we feel you did not keep us sufficiently informed of the reasons for delay in installing our home charger. Emails went unanswered, and there was never a word of apology. We are over-seventies, living in a secluded spot - and our only vehicle was our ZOE. There was no sense of priority given to our circumstances. We are, however, pleased with the installation. You engineer was quick, and very professional.

When purchasing there is a lot of promise about there customer interaction on the engineers visit. Not very friendly engineer and not half the promises made kept.

Good communication initially with the team. Left an email after installation but no reply. I thought the homecharger was like a plug witch last a lifetime. Now found out they go wrong and BP chargmaster get poor ratings a on the comparison website I saw so feel apprehensive. Can't easily find out how to register and am looking on FAQ right now. We dug as 60cm trench to a post and armoured cable not used which was a surprise but I guess that's ok as we have the certificate. Slightly concerned so we put rigid warning board on top before filling trench. Engineer did neat work and easy to work with. Aga helpful and knowledgeable.
