“This situation seems rather concerning to us. We previously purchased the 27001 toolkit in 2021, and now it appears that we are being compelled to make another purchase solely to obtain the update. It feels like an unfair and potentially scam-like approach.”

Hi Omar We're sorry to hear that you feel you’re missing out on the update to our ISO27001 toolkit. At the time that you bought your toolkit (in 2020) it came with a standard 12 months of updates. We introduced lifetime updates for new customers in 2022 so this unfortunately doesn’t apply to your purchase. We try to be fair to all customers and so we ask our staff to apply our policy evenly. We have offered you a discount which you are free to use at any time. A new purchase would give you access to the lifetime updates service and so this won’t be a problem in the future. “I bought my 27001 toolkits 2 years ago, and when the new version came up they did not include my purchase with the new one, so I have to buy it again, not very honest service”

Hi Omar, Thank you for your feedback. We have investigated this with our team and see that everything was done within company policy. The lifetime updates did not become part of the product offering until April 2022 and we backdated eligibility to our toolkit customers who purchased from April 2021 onwards. The reason for this policy was to be fair to customers who purchased our previously available annual update subscriptions. As discussed you weren’t eligible for the lifetime updates due to your purchase date, however you were offered a repurchase discount. I’m sorry that you feel this way about your experience with CertiKit, but I do hope you can understand the reasons our policies are in place. “I am missing more example reports, meeting minutes, slide decks examples with agendas and other completed forms of meeting and management reviews. I highly appreciate the skeleton structure of your policies and templates, but more examples would be extremely helpful to drive the security program in the right direction.”
