“When it works it's fine. But three times in two weeks i've paid for the five checks but when i log back on they don't register. Sort it out.”

I'm sorry you've been having trouble accessing your checks. Normally, if you try to log back on and reset the password then you'll be able to access the rest of the checks. If you're still having trouble then please email into support@cazana.com and we will have a look at the problem.

“The mileage check on a car i bought was not based on fact but by the use of an algorithm. This was admitted by Cazana when I raised the matter. This meant the mileage was inflated on a very low mileage car showing it had above average mileage. The Cazana report I obtained was therefore inaccurate and not worth paying for.”

I'm sorry you were unhappy with the report. As explained at the time the vehicle mileage is calculated using an algorithm that takes in to account the mileage data from previous MOTs and vehicle listings where available. We also use the typical mileage covered for the specific make and model of the vehicle. Unfortunately, we are unable to know the precise mileage of a vehicle on a daily basis. As stated on the website the vehicle mileage shown is estimated and is not verified. These details should always be checked with the owner and other documentation that prove the mileage of a vehicle.

“Service fine but results of doubtful merit in dispute with Insurer. This is because the valuation is based only on data at DVLA and the valuation that I was given did not have the correct up to date mileage of the car which is 10% lower than that estimated mileage by your algorithm based programme. On questioning the result you had no way of amending the valuation to a fair value. Other authorities such as the Financial Ombudsman would receive similar misleading results.”

Our prices are as follows: Gold check - £19.95 for 5 checks (at £3.99 each) - contains full information but only available as a bundle of 5 One off check - £14.99 for a single full check The price of your chosen purchase is clearly stated at checkout.

“Cazana's free car data check service is excellent and worth five stars. Their paid-for service is not as impressive. For one there was very little extra info over the free version. All those boxes indicating that something may have happened in the timeline of the car's history don't actually equate to any real events. And finally they are slow to update. Whereas the free government MOT data check site is updated immediately, Cazana has yet to show the latest MOT result for the car, 5 days after its test. Use the free features, don't pay for the product.”
