Very poor overall performance, reluctant to settle a claim, will point you in the direction of the 'small print' be advised, do not use.

What a bunch of money ???? grabbing so and sos Don't use really DONT USE . If you have a claim good luck they will try every trick in the book ???? not to pay out ONCE AGAIN DONT USE

I have been very happy with Castle however i have not ever made a claim for house insurance but the thing that annoys me is when i am due to renew they always give me a hiked price which annoys me when i am renewing,, and when i complain most of the time they will drop the new price to get my business, the ones who do not i go elsewhere. Absolutely appalling company with a very poor customer service. Expect the worst if you ever have to make a claim, I have first hand experience of this. They will try every trick in the book not to pay out. I had roof damage caused by probably the strongest winds for years, described as a Hurricane, Castle employed a 'surveyor' who described the damage as 'wear and tear' and not caused by the 60mph winds! Be warned, do not use CASTLE INSURANCE.

Tried to register online,to upgrade my policy, their registration site would not accept my policy number or the renewal policy number, so i phoned them. The person who answered tried to register my details but had the same results as i did she the asked her college for advice a few minuets later she said that i had to purchase the renewal policy so that i could register it. NOT BEING STUPID i asked if i PURCHASED the policy with the same number and registered it would it work ?. she replied yes, Again NOT BEING STUPID i said i already have a policy with a number with castle why dose that not register ? her reply, i don't know. QUESTION ? how do you know the renewal policy number will work. reply i don't. CASTLE COVER you need to get your act together, get your registration site working so that policy holders CAN access it and your customer services Know what they are talking about.

Very unhappy. Have had reasonably priced home insurance with CastleCover for several years and suddenly this year's quote has literally doubled, though nothing has changed and we have never made a claim. I phoned to check if this was a mistake but they were unable to come anywhere near last year's quotation. Very disappointed.

Had a very bad experience with a water supply leak. Initially I was informed that I was covered then when another leak appeared in the same place told me I was not covered. Not happy with the lack of communication. Much more I could mention. Would not recommend this company

Absolute disgrace, didn't send a letter or email to say insurance had gone up by £200, you are thieving scum bags and you will be getting reported. Please no one use this company

very fast and helpfull brought a diffrent car half way through the year took one phone call about 5 mins and every thing was changed over

Warning to others DONT pay by annual direct debit if you find a better quote for the next year and don't tell them they automatically take their fee which will be higher than the previous year and then charge you £50 to cancel plus the number of days the policy has been in date before you realise you are paying 2 insurance policies. Nothing you can do hard way to learn, so be warned feels like sharp practice to me. I did try to argue the toss but to no avail, made me feel that I was trying to not pay insurance which I found rather insulting as I have never been without insurance. So I wont be using them again for any insurances.

very poor shoddy customer service no renewl docs sent price up by 100percent from last year. on phone and all they say is sent by e mail and letter posted obviously not.then they have the cheek to charge you 50 quid to try and cancell and then ask for a months payment as well dont think so me self .will never use again and will be reporting them to fso for bad practice and also insurance body

Good service except that it took three phone calls before the correct documentation was sent to confirm that the policy had been renewed in February 2016, by a credit card payment over the phone, to cover the following twelve months. This was frustrating as I renew the policy on behalf of my elderly father, who understandably wishes to see the documentation confirming that he has the cover he requires. I understand that the problem was due to Castle Cover migrating to a new computer system. However, full and comprehensive acceptance testing should have been carried out prior to implementation.
