Unorganised handling of my purchase, constantly having to give my details to who ever was dealing with me every time i contacted the carstore, very slow feed back on progress, had to take time of work to finalise the deal as nobody seemed interested in my business. 1 key handed over with car no sd card for sat nav, parcel shelf broken, still have no idea of progress of these problems, had to report these problems myself as no one from carstore took ownership of said problems.

Very personal sales service , made to feel like a valued customer. The handover side of things is less personal and not very well organised. Would feel more comfortable dealing with one sales person from the beginning to the end of the experience and not being passed over to different departments all the time.

Service was prompt and efficient. Car was clean and available to test drive. On the negative side staff demonstrated little knowledge of model make or comparative specifications of car. Some pressure selling - ie informed that my £100 holding deposit would last until 12.00 on morning after day of viewing and that someone else was ready to buy car, (implication that it was great car) - if not bought by me. Manager confirmed this. Thus no attempt to help me make a decision by lowering price or offering me more in part exchange. Given time I had invested I bought car. Did I get a good deal? Probably an average one- but only time will tell. Since I could not afford a years warranty, this will be in three months!

Selecting the car and taken for a test drive could not fault, was able to take the car for a good run and find out all the information about the model which kind of sold the car for me as liked it straight away. Going through the sale of the and trade in of my vehicle again was straight forward, no hard sell got all the information I need and was very happy when I left the garage. What let down my whole experience was the handover. Arranged to collect the Wednesday then had to change it to Friday. Dropped my car off signed all the papers and after 2 hours of waiting around was taken home as again problem with the finance and eventually got to collect my car the Sunday. Took the fun and excitement out of it and also Valet was poor as found glass in back seat, parking ticket stuck down windscreen and back of passenger seats filthy so had to organise my own valet the Monday morning. Sales, Test drive and initial appointment great but the rest a let down

Great Customer Services with our sales advisor Jordan, couldn't fault him. Aftercare hasn't been so good, awaiting service history being sent out, a replacement part for seat and also the phone call to arrange for the second key to be coded at my home address.

I contacted Carstore to inform them I would be arriving for a test drive the following day (Thursday 20th June), they could not have been more helpful and accommodating to begin with. We were offered tea and coffee and given a warm welcome. I test drove the car and decided I wanted to buy it, we then completed the initial paperwork with the salesman and he requested that I transfer the balance 24 hours before picking the car up. On Saturday 22nd June I received a phone calling from one of the handover team informing me my car would be ready on Monday which I said was great and gave them a rough time which I would be there. I then transferred the outstanding balance on the Sunday evening, as requested. On Monday 24th June I dropped my kids off at school and proceeded to make the 80 mile journey only to be phoned within 10 miles of the garage to inform me the car was not ready and it would be another few days till it was. On Wednesday 26th June I was informed the car would be ready to pick up that day which I agreed to. I emailed at 12.49pm to inform of a rough time I would arrive and also phoned at 3.22pm to say I was on my way and confirm the car was ready. Upon arrival, I was met with a warm welcome again and told to wait a few minutes and someone would be along. An hour later I approached the reception to enquire what was happening, as I had my children with me I was eager to get going. I was eventually met by one of the handover team whom I voiced my complaints to and found her to be completely dismissive and she did not take my grievances on board at all. I subsequently drove my car home in a rather foul mood due to the terrible experience, which I still find irritating as I believe it should be a totally uplifting experience from start to finish. I would definitely not use this garage again, I feel as soon as I had made my money transfer, I no longer mattered as a customer. 30/6/19 update - The dealership has been in touch since my initial review and offered a complimentary service by way of an apology and asked to change my 'would you recommend' score to 5. I have been back in touch and accepted but I feel giving them 5 stars would still be a bit much, therefore have changed it to a score of 3.

Cars engine management light came on 11 minutes after leaving forecourt. After a difficult few day of no one returning my calls and general unhelpfulness they do now seem willing to correct the problem

I bought a lovely car at a good price. The salesman was attentive and did his job well. He noted minor faults in the car which were to be fixed, prior to collection. At handover minor damage to the bodywork had not been repaired as agreed. I was given assurances this would be dealt with , but it took me a further 4 weeks to get the job done. There seems to be a lack of communication between departments. On a different note, I was asked to pay £20 for fuel. I queried this and was informed, that every car was filled with £20 worth of fuel when it came into the showroom. Therefor I was paying for an unknown quantity of fuel. (At what price per litre and how many test drives had it been through prior to my purchase?) I'm not sure if this is not fraud! I also asked about the £99 Admin. Fee and was told this was for 'clarity', but not an explanation for the amount!!

Sales guy Ritchie was great, following service was poor as I have waited for 6 weeks to get a window replaced. I was told the day I picked it up that it would be sorted within a few days

Initially impressed with the service but this changed and the level of professionalism decreased with having to return to the showroom twice to sign papers that should have been priority. Flow of information was poor regarding estimated date for delivery etc. Promises made for the car being available were never fulfilled. The presentation of the car left a lot to be desired with a number of glaring issues that should have been observed & rectified did not happen. Car has now to be returned to allow for all the noted issues to be closed out as necessary. This car should never have left the showroom with the amount of defects I noted (worn wipers, broken electric mirror control, scratched paintwork to name a few). Not impressed is an understatement!!!

The Peter Vardy car store in Dundee is really a very nice place. On entering, to be met by a lovely reception and to be shown around, offered tea/coffee whilst browsing is really nice also. It's a new looking showroom with vibrant colours and very pleasing to the eye. Having a car in mind we got down to the nitty gritty with the salesman Craig Ross, who was excellent, polite, mannerable and very easy to deal with. After the 'haggle' between myself, the salesman and 3 managers we came to an agreed figure which in my mind was extremely fair. The only downside and as minimal as it may seem was the volume of the music that was being played within the store was for myself was a touch too loud to be able to hear and concentrate on the paperwork etc... Overall though and up to now i am happy with the service provided.

The positives are the car is brilliant and I'm really happy with it and the work of salesman Craig Ross. He was a star from start to finish, made the whole buying process a breeze. Now for the negatives, the add says no hassles but the wife and I felt hassled all the time we were there with Mohammed. It wasn't his fault but the way the salesmen are told. We were scared to look at a car encase the salesman went over to it and tell us about it. Couldn't wait to get out again. Next is the cringeworthy handover of the car, I was so embarrassed and I think your staff felt the same. Another is the amount of phone calls I received after buying the car, pretending to make sure I was happy with the car but really to remind me to complete this review so Craig could get extra money (which he deserves) and the final straw was receiving a call today (6th February, 1 week after I drove the car away) Another salesman from your store phoned me asking if there was anything he could do to get me to buy a car from you after I visited your store on the 31st (the day I purchased and drove away with the car) Do you not update your notes?
