“One of the worst banks ever, I beg you do not go with car one money. I have literally just opened up account had money coming in from the jobs that we carried out and they have blocked my account no access to my funds. They needed all sort of evidence which I supplied them with, such as Bank stamens, invoices, receipts etc. it’s been going for more than 2 weeks I have told them I have wages to pay and that they have everything they need and they still left me like that even if I threatened them with legal action still nothing. I eventually had to stop my business and all my employees quit as they didn’t receive there money in time.”

“I have the one card though my work place. No fees and early pay but terrible customer service. Altogether they have taken over 100.00 by refusing to refund my money because I was hacked. They contacted me by text to ask if I was hacked. I replied no didn't authorize the purchase. Froze card. Also they round up your purchases and put money in savings automatically. I transferred my money to my checking account then afterwards the money from savings disappeared. Bad Bad customer service.”

“NEVER USE CARD ONE MONEY! They are scammers of slimiest, most soulless variety you will find! Open an account only for them to close it 10 days later! AND NOT EVEN TELL YOU WHY! They are liars who will steal your money and not care. Their office workers are like robots, with no care or remorse. If you value your money and time, go ANYWHERE else! Unbelieveable!!”

“Using the app is useless really.... I recently lost my card and tried to cancel it via the app but never got confirmation it was cancelled so had to phone up to make sure at premium rate might add. Then to order my new card I had to spend 23 minutes on hold at premium rate once more to order the replacement. I recieve my card today so tried to activate it, I do all the steps and at the final hurdle it says sorry I didn't quite get that and it puts me through to customer services of which are closed on weekends so I still have no use of card and once again have to call the customer service on Monday at premium rate, all in all a very poor service and going to change my bank”

“I have been with Card one Money, about 5 years, I have had no problems in that time, all my bills and direct debits, are all paid on time, if there is not enough in my account to pay bills, they always let me know. I can only praise Card One Money, and hope others who have had problems, that they are sorted out.”

“for a number of years I have been banking with them. No issues whatsoever. There is a premium for the service, but there may be other reasons why you can’t or choose not to use have a high street bank account.”

“Had my account for about 2 months happily payed the fees it's been excellent for me until I received a payment from a friend and they blocked access to my card out of the blue money still in the account I can't have it unless I show proof of payment.like this is just rediculous and very inconvenient I'm just glad I didn't have my wages put in there!!”

“incorporated a company in uk as non resident and got in touch with them to open a business account wherein kiaren advised me that he will put the application through and charge me gbp55, application will go to underwriting team and they will decide, got a call from manager Kathy who advised that I should have an ATOL certificate to open an account, explained her that ATOL can not be obtained as I am non resident, however they have illogical explanation that I have to get an ATOL certificate and they don't know whether the eligibility is to be a resident in UK, why did they take my application at the first place, the staff should know if he is taking the application of a travel company, what all documents should I have to be eligible. Also I again advised them that we would not be booking a package holiday and would only book a flight only or hotel only ( Atol doesn't come into picture in these case) still they need atol, I don't know if they are fool or making us fool. I am going to put a review everywhere as the world should know how they are cheating customer. Their main agenda is to just put the application through and charge gbp55 and later deny the application coz they may come back with any ridiculous reason which they should inform the Customer at the beginning”

“If I can prevent one person reading this review from signing up for an account, then the time I wasted to write this review has been worth it. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. Cardonemoney is fraudulent and unethical online banking company with unreachable customer service that you have to pay for (you have to pay for their time on the phone with you). this isn't even about the high fees they charge. My experience is about the difficulty I had in accessing my money after having an account with them for 2 years. they are using multiple types of schemes to make it difficult to access your account so they can continue to earn interest in the money that is being held in your account. long waits for customer service, website not working at times, and changing the way to login in to make it more difficult to get into your account. I was having issues with accessing my account because all of a sudden the online login asked for 2 step authentication but I never received any info for setting this up so it sent me in an endless loop of not being able to access the account. When I called customer service to try to get set up properly so i can start accessing my account, I was asked all my personal info including company email, address, name, date of birth, account number and still did not authenticate me to give me access. Then they literally stopped answering my calls. I can’t believe this was happening. When I called the next day to try to get a different rep, the person literally hung up on me, I tried to call several times and no answer. This is their main customer service number and I could not believe this was how they were addressing me not being able to access my account. At this point I realized that I may be in a fraudulent situation so I sent them a threatening message letting them know that I would be pursuing legal action. It was only after I threatened to sue and blast their behavior on the internet someone finally gave me my account access so I could get my money out as fast as I could and never have to deal with them again. They use to be cardonebanking and changed to caronemoney. think about it. they have no banking rules and protection being offered to the customer so they didn't want to be liable and changed the "banking" part of their name to "money". The bottom of the site mentions this: The CardOneMoney current account is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.”
