From start to Finish, CAMPS International has guided our expedition trips with phenomenal support, professionalism, and an exceptional attention to detail. Our school has now been on three trips with CAMPS, and they spare no efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, both students and staff alike. With each expedition, they provide an online Gateway service for families and all participants to use which provide inclusive information like packing lists, risk assessments, flight and itinerary information. They provide pre-departure parent evening information sessions with video conferencing to answer questions. They also send an expedition trip leader to join you at the airport as an escort to your destination as an added feature of confidence. Every year, we look forward to a fantastic trip. Their staff are highly trained and have always had the greatest interest of the students at heart. Their offices have thought of everything, so that we don't have to. Having our young grade eight students abseiling down 155 m waterfalls in Nepal was magical to say the least. For this reason, we will have no trouble calling upon them again next year for a possible trip to Costa Rica or Peru!

We’re committed to safety and as a team we’re pleased to see that this has been noticed and has given you confidence to travel with us multiple times. An excellent, in-depth, full-on, week-long training in Kenya. Answered all the questions about day-to-day activities, accommodation and transport between the camps. Meeting those who work for Camps in the country and those who the work helps, really helped to embed what an excellent opportunity this is for the pupils.

Dear Trevor This is lovely feedback to receive, thank you so much for sharing. We’ve had such positive comments about this years’ recce trip. We’ve already started the planning process for those teachers eligible to travel with us for summer 2024. It’s always a fantastic experience for our staff in-country to meet teachers before they head out on expedition with us in the summer. Have a brilliant trip this summer Trevor. the recipe was super informative as well as reassuring for the teachers traveling in the summer. The trip was well planned with a good insight into what the students would be doing whilst on their adventure. Loved it

My experience of the teacher recce to Kenya 2023 was in one word, phenomenal. Such a great experience. I learnt so much and it really helped put an end to my worry’s regarding bringing the kids out to another country with a company I have never used before. The staff look after every inch of the camp experience. I felt very safe and cared for by all the staff. Nothing was too much. Seeing the differences in the standard of hospitals was an eye opener, and helpful to prepare myself in case this event occurred as being able to see what the processes would be followed should one of our students was injured or falls ill was great assistance for me and to write up risks assessments. I also found seeing the different types of camps very useful, some had beds, some had cold showers, some had drop holes, it was all great experience to bring back to other members of staff and the kids. Seeing the conservation and the kids was heart rending and really inspired me understand the great importance these camps are having on the community out there and how needed and important they will be as experiences for our kids. I am incredibly thankful and grateful for this opportunity and our kids are reaping the Benefits from my experience with a greater knowledge of how camps operates and a new confidence and enthusiasm regarding the trip. They are going to love it.

We’re committed to safety and as a team we’re pleased this came across not only in terms of demonstrating our processes but also in helping you prepare as a school and an expedition team. It was really fun, nice. The activities were so fun.I loved the people who took care of us, they were really nice and helpful. The food was also amazing. When we went to the classes in the morning in Gstaad, I loved walking through the village and going in the train. My favorite part was when we went in the forest to sleep in the tipis. I also loved when we went to sleep up in the mountains. I also loved when we went to the waterfalls and the glaciers.

Shortly, Camps International helped me engage in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have fun with a lovely group of friends as well as teachers, but more importantly, help those in need of our services and provide for them in as significant of a way as I possibly can. With that in mind, if I were to sum up our wonderful expedition in one word, it would be "Magical".

My experience chaperoning our high school trip to Nepal revived my love for traveling with students. From the moment we met our CAMPS leaders at DXB, I knew from their enthusiasm and engagement at 4 am that our students were about to experience a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The thoughtful itinerary was packed with age-appropriate, mental and physical challenges, cultural excursions, and tasty local dining - and the kids loved it. Even if they were a little homesick, for the majority of them, the highlight of the trip was being away from their phones and connecting with their friends and peers. We're two months back from our trip, and the students cannot stop talking about their experiences, and I know that their enjoyment is due in large part to our CAMPS leader Cam. Obviously, a good leader can make for a memorable experience, and Cam was able to motivate struggling kiddos on our hikes, encourage nervous or shy girls to rock climb, and generally develop a sense of family for our diverse group in such a short time. All of these kind actions are indicative of his love for these programs and working with our students. Thank you!

this camp was very well prepared and entertaining, i enjoyed every part of it. i loved how we were always entertained and doing something, all of the staff were very nice and welcoming towards us. i would highly recommend this camp to many people who enjoy service and exploring new adventurers. the only thing i would recommend would be more snack food in between the project work and visiting sites

I loved all of the experiences- everything was genuinely incredible!!!! The long drop eco toilets took time to get used to but honestly it’s all a part of the experience and it was fine once you use it a few times. The main complaint is the travel times. We took 2 flights and a 2-4 hour bus ride. Since the camp is remote it makes sense that the bus ride was long but I think the flights could have been organized much better. We went from Nairobi airport to mumbasa airport and then took the bus ride but the full journey took over 24 hours both times. To be fair I went with my school so things would take a bit longer, however there was a flight that left from mumbasa airport directly back home and that would have shortened the travel day to like 9 hours or so, instead of 24+ hours. Also we did 3 straight days of community work and I feel like it would be nicer to break it up to make things more varied. But otherwise it was perfect. This is an experience like no other and despite the difficult travel, the positives WAAAAY outweigh the negatives.

We are extremely delighted to hear that had an incredible time in Camp Kenya and embraced the experiences of being in the real African wilderness. We will pass on your feedback with regards to variations in project working days. We hope that even though you had a long bus ride it gave you the chance to take in the sights of Kenya on the way to our remote Camp. Thank you for your feedback regarding the journey time, our team work hard to ensure the journey is as short as possible in line with the options at the time. Thank you for joining us in making a positive impact. All the best The Camps Team
